  • Kaweco proves that a minimalist pen doesn't have to be minimal in size. The Kaweco Supra is the "hulked-out" version of their popular metal-bodied Liliput fountain pen. The Supra has the added ability to remove the middle body "extender" piece to make the pen more compact for your hand. Watch the video for a full demonstration and writing sample.

    Wonderful pen, I have it high on my list, also because I can use the Bock nibs that I have from my Namisu fountain pens (especially the titanium one).
    Nice video, thank you.

    Why the step down in the metal? It would be so nice if it was just a smooth cylinder.

    I usually use mine with the extension build in and I sometimes still post it :P The Stainless Steel is just a little hint lighter than the Brass version, but not so much that it would influence a purchasing decision I think. In my opinion the Brass version is very grippy, section wise, because of the Patina in builds up. The Stainless Steel isn‘t quite ad grippy, yet good for a stainless steel grip section; it is nowhere near the famous Lamy Studio grip sections :) I own 2 Brass Supra (experiences with 3), 1 Stainless Steel and already gifted a Stainless Steel one.
    I would LOVE to see a Titanium version. ...and I would freak out if a Oversized Titanium Supra would be available. Increased diameter by 2 mm, especially in the grip section. Maybe a 5 mm longer grip section and a No. 8 nib :D (I wouldn’t mind it to be longer, maybe so that the short version fits a Sport Converter?, even additional thickness on top would be okay, too to fit a No. 8 nib; but this is just optional)

      It seems that you want a Namisu Horizon Titanium !
      Well, otherwise fits the description that you just gave :-)
      That's what I got and I also added a Titanium nib ;-)
      I think you'd like it. It is still on sale at their website.

    I jusy got mine. Looking forward to it. I’m not a fan of carts and it seems this pen is going to best in the shorter version and will only fit converter when fully supra’d out. Does that sound right?

    • @GoldspotPens
      @GoldspotPens  2 года назад

      Yes, it needs to be full length to accept the standard international converter.

    How can you tell it’s a Bock nib just by looking at it? Is the feed on a Bock nib different looking than one from a Jowo?

    • @GoldspotPens
      @GoldspotPens  Год назад +1

      Yes. A bock feed looks different than a Jowo. I’ll shoot a video to show the difference.

    Can anyone suggest which is a better fountain pen out of Lamy LX, Lamy Studio and Kaweco Al sport. It will be my 1st fountain pen experience !!

    • @GoldspotPens
      @GoldspotPens  4 года назад +2

      I suggest the Lamy LX. The Lamy AL Star is virtually the same, just the aesthetics are slightly different.

    The nib size is 060 or 250 ??

  • @lucm6476
    @lucm6476 4 года назад

    that would be a Jowo nib , if I'm not mistaken.

      It is a Bock nib. The 2 Stainless Steel Supra I ordered also came with Bock nibs.

      @korax67 4 года назад +1

      It's a stainless steel Bock nib. You can also add a semi-flex titanium nib from Bock too.

      korax67 I managed to put a Pelikan M800 IB (basically a 1,5 mm stub) with the feed and housing of the Kaweco nib into one of Supra :)

    Attractive, unaffordable pen. Question: are there any pens with posting nibs avaliable in the US?

    • @GoldspotPens
      @GoldspotPens  4 года назад

      There is a Pilot Custom 912 with a Posting (PO) nib that's priced a bit higher than the Kaweco Supra here. That is the only one that I know of.

      @@GoldspotPens Thanks. I have looked at all the big online retailers, and none of them (including Goldspot) seem to stock the 912 with the posting nib. Maybe I'll get one off eBay.
