    I used the double broad nib at the store today. Fell in love and got it. Now I’m going to switch my extra fine nib with it instead of having to buy a whole new pen!

    I want a different nib experience, sometimes. And now that I’ve discovered a love of Cursive Italic nib grinds, having an option for that on my beloved Stonewashed Black Kaweco would be nice!

    I thought for a second my pen had a problem. It´d turn like twisting along the cartridge if Imoved it, but it turns out it was just slightly lose, thank you! even if I don´t really plan on changing it anytime soon, now I know how

    Thank you for this video!! I recently bought a Kaweco Student but I found the nib too thick (M) that I've been considering buying another one, until I came across this video!

    I’m partial to broad. 1.1 stub nibs and flex nibs. Sometimes I go for Italic nib. ❤❤

    I had to buy replacement nib for my Kaweco skyline as the fine nib suddenly became scratchy and collecting fibers while it wrote. Soaked it, try to clean down the nib crack for days and nothing helped. It was new and working the week before. Luckily able to find medium neb replacement on Amazon that had the same colour holder. Now working fine. Sometimes not problem with dropping, just nib disfunction.

    Lamy also has the ability to exchange with various steel and gold nibs.

    Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. I do have one question. Do you have a suggestion for a more reliable nib for the Liliput? The nib it came with always requires futzing around with before it will write.

    • @Yoseka
      @Yoseka  2 месяца назад

      Not really! That's surprising to hear as the Kaweco nib is pretty standard and reliable. If you are talking about after inking it up for the first time, it does always take some time for the ink to work its way down the feed to the nib on any fountain pen. Hope this helps!

    • @alvinscott1331
      @alvinscott1331 2 месяца назад

      @@Yoseka Unfortunately it was not just the first time it was inked. I would get the Liliput to write before leaving my home, but when it is time to sign the check, it won't write.

      @@Yoseka Unfortunately the issue is not with the first time it was inked. It initially worked and the stopped. I just recently flushed the pen and tried again and was able to I get it to write for a few days and it's once again no longer writing.

    Ugh, I have 2 kaweko students and one of them just won't come out like that. The nib comes out like the kaweko sport :(

    • @user-gl5ld9vm7i

      You cannot unscrew the nib/feed assembly?
      You twist counter clockwise?

    • @xbebestar
      @xbebestar Год назад

      @@user-gl5ld9vm7iNo, I can’t unscrew it. When I try unscrewing it, the nib/feed just pops out like the Kaweko sport. I did it counter clockwise.

    • @ruthfeiertag

      Sometimes it helps to use a piece of rubber or plastic (I use a couple of those rubber rounds that help one open jars) to get a firmer grip that also protects the feed from getting crushed.

    • @squirts1
      @squirts1 Год назад

      It doesn't matter. The nib assemblies are identical in both pens. If you can't get the threaded sleeve out, leave it in there and put the new nib in that insert.
      Sometimes you can coax a stuck insert out by pressing the nib further into the pen while trying to unscrew it. It just puts a bit more friction between the sleeve and feed so they won't slip.
      Also, be sure you do not have a converter/cartridge installed (even if it's empty) because they interface directly with the feed assembly.

      They actually come with the same nibs!

  • @squirts1
    @squirts1 Год назад

    The nibs and nib units are identical whether the pen is plastic/resin or metal. You can unscrew the whole assembly from a Kaweco Sport, atleast I can in mine.

    Hey Daisy, is it possible for me to swap out the nib of a kaweco ballpoint with that of a fountain pen? Got a ballpoint as a gift and while i really like it I use fountain pens more :) Thanks! love the content as always

    • @Yoseka

      Hi Larry, no unfortunately that wouldn't quite work since the dimensions of the refills of the ballpoint aren't the same as the nib section!
