    AZ-ure...accent on the 'FIRST syllable!!! It's an Old English word that describes a specific shade of blue. It is not of French derivation with the accent on the 2nd syllable.
    Keltic is how it's pronounced.
    Adzuki beans are generally sprouted, not cooked like a bean...they are one type of the bean sprouts used in Oriental foods. The other are mung beans. Like someone else said, you can also make a bean paste for desserts.

      Yes I definitely need to research and experiment with the adzuki beans!

      Thank you so much for being here! I cook almost the same as I did in our sticks and bricks. A little bit of a learning curve but I use the oven often!

    Are you using the Adzuki beans for a savory or sweet application? The Adzuki beans are what Asians use to make red bean paste that is used to flavor a lot of sweets.

      Hmmm! I was thinking savory. I bought them to try something new and now I’m going to have to do a little more research. I think something sweet would be fun to try!

    We do not care for the cottage cheese but the sour cream and cream cheese is fabulous.

    I’ve been eating Nancy’s for years. My local health food store has it. I can’t stand their sour cream. It looks and tasted like glue. I love the cottage cheese and cream cheese though:) Good Culture has good cottage cheese without the tang.

    We thought the cream cheese tastes like sour cream, I am interested in what you think!

      I definitely got a sour cream vibe from it. It wasn’t my favorite. I might try a different kind next time. I’ll probably end up using it as a base for a dip or something. Hmmm. Is there one you have found that you like?

      @@CalveyHomestead sadly no. As much as I prefer better ingredients nothing beats Philadelphia 🤣

    What are your thoughts on the sour cream?

    • @CalveyHomestead
      @CalveyHomestead  Год назад

      It is not your typical store brand sour cream. I honestly think it’s less tangy. BUT my picky husband and son couldn’t tell the difference so I could have been over analyzing it.
