The one handed grab is more of an intimidation move that isn't followed up with anything. In most cases the aggressor who does this isn't expecting a fight, which is why the one handed grab is a common school yard bully move.
In this FightFast self defense tip, you will learn a simple wrist joint lock that will quickly make the aggressor regret they ever targeted you.

Love how you explained the little points that most instructors don't even mention.

oh crap is she alright?
Thanks for this demo. I'm 63 and recently experienced an angry finger poke to the chest by a guy in his 40s...I want to learn such techniques and not become a victim as I age.

Am a senior citizen and have gotten numerous self defense tips, purchased dvds, and other accessories from them. Great people here.
Love how thoroughly you explained this technique!! Great teaching!!
Excellent demonstration, very easy to understand and enjoyable to watch! Thank you fightfast and the crew for making these videos!
Our pleasure!
This one technique is similar to some techniques we were taught in the Police Academy Defensive Tactics.
When somebody comes after you for a fight you have to put them down as hard (break there bones/wrist/arms/knee/ankle), and as fast as you can. Definitely don't be shy or second guessing yourself about it.
Agreed. Violent people need to be humbled.
agree
Do it so fast it's over before ANYONE knows what happened. Just don't kill em if you can help it.
Eyes, throat, nuts, feet, hands, then other, in that priority order.
Awesome demonstration my daughter can use this technique
Excellent video. The instructions were clear, thorough and you went slow enough for people to follow. Most do it so fast that the videos are essentially useless so it's basically them just showing off.
As someone who was disabled 45 yrs. ago (partially paralyzed) I'm always thankful to obtain some useful knowledge which I can hopefully never have to use.
Explanation I’d purposeful and educational. His ability to explain so well leave almost no room for confusion or questions
Excellent video. This has actually happened to me a number of times. I'm not ashamed to say it didn't go well.
Very good demonstration and effectively explained. Thank you!
Thanks Bob, this is the best demonstration I have seen of this move on a video. An old Green Beret friend first showed me this move but you filled in a few useful details. Also thank you for always encouraging restraint when the threat is not severe. People always need to understand that we do not always have to break bones or skulls in every confrontation. When we do - we do!
I like what you guys are doing here. Love the tips and advice. It never hurts to be prepared and you give us the tools by which to do so with. Keep talkin, im listening
I've been a customer for 5 plus years and now i'm blacklisted for NO reason. LOVE YOUR COMPANY ANYWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you
You really illustrate the technique on how to make it work in My favor.
It's one of the best videos that deal with self defense with easy to understand the instructor and not over done. Explanations of why and when are spot on.
Truly like how you detail everything about the self defense move your describing. Very informative.

Nice presentation, thanks.
This was very helpful. Thank you
Good video. I like the clear instructions, nice and simple. I'm retired military, and come from a very military family, and was taught very early the importance of torque control when it comes to holds. And of course, attacking the joints, as they are the weak points where pain can be afflicted very easily... great for stopping a larger attacker.
Very well explained and demonstrated
Awesome demonstration, thanks for the insight
