I love watching people getting blown away by Floor. She's the best!
She's not the best... she's a fucking goddess!
@Ted Love That's exactly what I'm doing now. Hahaha. Greeting from the Netherlands ;-)
You just opened one hell of a can of worms brother!!! There is a reason why Nightwish is one of the most requested and reacted to bands on RUclips.
NIGHTWISH IS POSSIBLY THE BEST LIVE BAND ON THE PLANET!!! AND FLOOR JANSEN IS A METAL GODDESS!!!
Nightwish is a dynamic and versatile band... Ghost Love Score is on of many flavors. They most definitely have some really hard and heavy songs but the also excel at beautiful melodic ballads, epic metal soundscapes that tell almost cinematic tales... They cover many styles and they do it prolifically while always maintaining that nightwish signature distinctiveness.
Nightwish fans are among the most loyal, enthusiastic, and engaged fans you will find. We will watch your Nightwish reactions! We love to share their music with others and we support others in this Nightwish community. The live versions are generally the most beloved so always try to react to a live version if possible. If you want the most bang for your buck view wise I would do these reactions in this order. You are about to get mind blown...
“Song of myself” live at Wacken 2013
“Everdream” live at Wacken 2013
”Romanticide” live at wacken 2013
“Sleeping sun” live at Tampere 2015
“Storytime” live at Wacken 2013
“Weak fantasy” live at Tampere 2015
“Kiss while your lips are still red” live at wembley 2015
“Dark chest of wonders” live at Wacken 2013
“The poet and the pendulum” live at Wembley 2015 (you have to pause this one regularly because of copyright issues)
“Ghost River” live at Wacken 2013
“The islander” live at Tampere 2015
“Yours is a empty hope” live at Tampere 2015
“ I want my tears back” live at wacken 2013
“Seven days to the Wolves” live at Wembley 2015
“Shudder before the beautiful” live at Tampere 2015
“Amaranth” live a wacken 2013
“Last ride of the day” live at Wacken 2013
“Endless forms most beautiful” live at Tampere 2015
“High hopes” live end of an era
“The greatest show on earth” live at Tampere 2015
If you want to check out an song performed by their original singer Tarja watch:
“The Phantom of the Opera” live End of a Era DVD it’s pretty amazing.
And there are so many more... Anything from the live shows at wacken 2013, wembley 2015, or Tampere 2015 are great though Floor seemed a bit vocally fatigued in the wembley show. It was the last show of a huge tour to support their album “Endless Forms Most Beautiful”. The one song from wembley that is a absolute must listen is “The Poet and the Pendulum”. In my opinion this is the greatest song Tuomas has ever written and when performed live with Floor it is as emotionally gripping and inspirational as music gets. The arrangement, the lyrics, the instrumental performance, and Floor’s vocal perfection are mind blowing.
If you react to nightwish we will come in droves... we will subscribe... and we will support you in this journey. We are pretty hardcore in the best kind of way!
Wow BTL thanks!
lmao bro.. Nice you got it al there haha!
Well said..
Banderezz Tony LaPore need to watch this with a pretzel. lol
I love Sahara but it gets blocked a lot... That's the only reason it's noyt on there.
Here is some background information if you want to continue the Nightwish journey. Steeler fan here! New sub here!
Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a female
fronted symphonic metal band. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes
the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And
there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK
who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In
2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and now is
permanent.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen
(Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon
from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and
current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic,
soprano.....most versatile) - you just saw her.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live (Floor). I hope this helps.
I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you
like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise
you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable
live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol
Thanks, Ann, looking forward to it!
SO happy to see this again posted by the legend herself, Ann "Nightwish" Waychoff! :-)
Hola Ann, bienvenida.
Hey Ann, I live near Pittsburgh :) Always nice to see Steelers fans!!!
Hey Ann, how are you holding?
Just stumbled upon possibly the best singer currently. Listen to a few more Nightwish songs and you will soon agree as well. No doubt about it.
the best 2 singers ;) they havent heard marco yet ;)
@@dhaxgaming4488 true. Marco is just damn great. He is mostly unrecognized, but his harmonics with Floors voice are just unbelievable. And his appearance really fits to his voice when he does backing vocals for Floor.🤗🥳🥳
Thank you for NOT comparing her to Amy Lee. As Americans, she's pretty much the only standard we have to judge modern female rockers against, but trust me... the two singers are very, very different. Floor is on another level... and I am a big Evanescence fan!!
I concur! American to the bone and I love evanescence and Amy but she cannot even come close to floor. Floor is in my mind the most dynamic and multitalented female vocalist alive...
I can listen to Amy Lee play piano and sing all day as well as Elton John. But Floor vocally is at another level.
Floor can play piano, guitar and flute. She just doesn't need to.
Another level , meaning better , in my opinion. Floor is a powerhouse , Amy is too , to a degree , but not near as strong.
Agree... Love Amy but Floor is on another level vocally.
I think I’ve seen almost every nightwish reaction on RUclips. When you love this band like I do it never gets old seeing people experience their art for the first time. Great video!!!
Same here. I have seen lots of reactions to this and I love how everyone gets blown by this. In my eyes, this is the best live performance ever of a song that is even on album insane, can't believe this song does not have 1.000.000.000 views :(.
The funny thing is: I was there, Wacken 2013. Somehow the reaction train on this video makes it even a better feeling to have been there.
I didn't used to see reaction videos, I always thought like: Why I will want to see someone else watching a video? But I noticed this: We like to see others seeing the things we like, and this is kinda interesting. Now I even watch anime reactions haha and songs reactions like this one in the video.
I think we have the fear that the things we like fall into oblivion, so it is exciting to see that what we like is alive and spreading.
I would like to see a reaction video compilation of reaction videos of peoples Floorgasms !
Floor is a gorgeous Amazon of a woman with a fantastic operatic voice. You’re watching a rock opera.
Someone converted again. They're so diverse, I listened to literally nothing BUT Nightwish for 19 months, driving two hours every day to and from work, at home, and at work....and I never once got bored. Just absolute ear candy.
The same orchestra that did Lord of the Rings soundtrack, does the backing tracks for Nightwish.
The band is from Finland, but the singer Floor Jansen (3rd Nightwish singer) is Dutch. They also have a 6th member not on this song, the piper Troy. This was one of the 3 epic multi-part songs, most of their songs are around 5 minutes long. You should check out:
Nightwish - I Want my Tears Back live from Wacken 2013
Nightwish - Weak Fantasy live from Tampere 2015
Unleash the Archers - Awakening
It's so nice to hear that Nightwish is finally being paid attention to! If we will get out of mainstream American radio we would find some real music out there. Nightwish is the best!!!!
Welcome to the world of Nightwish!
Romanticide from the same concert is heavy 🤘
Yes!!!! And that note she hits is so... power, beauty, feminine, sexy, and amazing all in one! Floorgasm!
Nope !!!! Not heavy ---- > Epic !!! ;)
Wacken 2013 (I was there) and Tampere 2015 are both insanely epic.
The nightwish army is amazing! Good luck to you!
Like Ann Waychoff already said: you will be surprised how extensive musical catalog Nightwish has and you never know what there is coming and even which way the song is about to go next. But it's always so damn beautiful and so fantastic music, I guarantee you that! And they're at their best live - they're masterclass musicians!
Queensryche's Take Hold Of The Flame. Queensryche is the best kept secret of 80s metal. Epic guitar and a classically trained singer who in his prime was one of the best male vocalists in metal.
I’ve seen them twice on those metal cruises, great even though there are two queensryches!
@@TheBandSShow I was surprised how good their new singer is.
I love Amy Lee but she isnt even close to Floor in talent
Agreed. Amy is amazing but no one touches Floor.
And Floor is still in the shadow of Tarja the forever Queen of symphonic metal
@@bellowloudly7620 couldnt be more wrong. Tarja is one style and cant do Nightwish songs justice anymore. Floor can do it all. Theres really no comparison.
@@aether13x69 Tarja isn't a one trick pony. Her work with Within T, Lacuna Coil, Delain etc proves it
Bellowloudly 🙏♥️💯WORDS
Nightwish is beyond compare, and so is Floor. She whipes the floor with any other vocalist. Wish I had a ticket to their show this upcoming tour.... 😓
2:23 two men got a smerky smile.....the beginning of a floorgasm!
Welcome to our world. Enjoyed your reaction. The facial expressions speak louder than words. I would suggest either "Ghost River" or "Romanticed" as your next foray into Nightwish's musical greatness.
Welcome to the magic world of Nightwish.
Now you wont be able to leave! 😁
Great reaction by the way.
They have songs more metal, some epic, some celtic...you have a vast menu.
Greetings from Portugal.
Thanks Nuno, hello Portugal!
Welcome to the Nightwish Army!!! YOU WERE NOT READY FOR THE NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Floorgasms. How new Nightwish fans are born.
Yours is an Empty Hope is a heavy song from them.
Yes!! Please do this next- the live performance from the Nightwish cruise
Dark Chest of Wonders too.
Love the Neverending Story reference! I'm an '80s kid, and I grew up on movies like that, so kudos to you for getting that vibe!
Hahahaha that double floorgasm, by god you two gents are in for a wild ride now you're hooked by the Goddess Floor and Nightwish.
I recommend Nightwish Ghost River (Wacken 2013) its heavier and the bassist sings too.
“Do they have stuff that’s way more metal then this”
Me: wait for it..
Come on check out yours is an empty hope
I wondered when you would get to this one.
It's practically a rite of passage for reaction channels. : )
Nightwish are usually described as symphonic metal.
The lead singer in this video is Floor Jansen, "The Flying Dutchwoman".
She is their third lead singer and was born in the Netherlands.
Their first singer, Tarja Turunen, like the rest of the band, is Finnish.
The second, Anette Olzon was Swedish.
I wish Funassyi Charamel was a regular for reactions, I keep suggesting, but almost no one does it, ruclips.net/video/Z1XXSLzf148/видео.html
I still shake my head when I come across comments like yours. Reason being I remember a time when finding a Nightwish video on RUclips was like stumbling across a unicorn or the loch ness monster!
I'm a Floornatic and watch all these reactions, but you gotta give a good shout-out to Jukka's drumming. It was spot on!
Unleash the Archers - Awakening! Gogogo! I know you'll love it due to your reaction to this song. Gogogo! :)
I agree about the Celtic vibe. I pick it up in a number of their songs but they are much, much more as I am sure you will see.
You poor guys, just now finding Nightwish so much to hear ✌️
And now the adventure begins... Enjoy the the ride of the Nightwish train guys...
Seriously, even how much i love "original" nightwish. Tarja leaving was best what happened to nightwish. Now they are fucking epic band with Floor Jansen, i am so amazed always when i see that wacken concert over and over again.
Well the years with Anette were pretty... well... lets forget about that :P
@@cedricwilson1593 Yeh, please, lets!
LOL.....I love coming back to this where you all started!
You've done it now. Enjoy the Nightwish journey. This whole Wacken 2013 concert is amazing.
I am a senior citizen , a lifelong musician, and a big fan of Nightwish. Saw them in concert in 2015 and 2018 and they were amazing. And I’m happy to see that you got a very quick comment from Ann Waychoff, she is beloved in the Nightwish reaction community, and is recuperating after an illness as you saw from the other comments. She has helped so many people learn about Nightwish. Regarding other bands, you might enjoy Epica. Their lead singer Simone is a longtime friend of Floor. Also Delain was a great opening act at one of the Nightwish concerts. Many of the symphonic metal groups are familiar with each other and friendly and supportive to each other. And I am a new subscriber keep up the good work!
You should do more from THAT concert. The sets, lights, sound and camera work is great and the other songs are even MORE EPIC with the male vocals from the bassist. Floor's voice ranges from rock to opera to death growls.
Enjoyed your reaction guys : ) and welcome to the wonderful world of Nightwish! Next try "Romanticide" from the same concert
Nightwish is from Finland and the singer Floor Jansen is Dutch but now lives in Sweden. The band is considered symphonic metal. On this song and on The Greatest Show on Earth (which you must react to) they use the London Philharmonic Orchestra for their background along with a choir. That is why you get the vibe of the Moody Blues (same orchestra). The musicians are all the "next step above" and Floor Jansen is considered to be one of the best female vocalists who was trained in both classical and opera singing but her heart is into metal.
Epica Sancta Terra live feat Floor Jensen
Amy Lee is coke and cheeceburger, Floor is champagne and caviar....
:D
Amen!
Here we go with the Amy Lee comparisons again. Y'all Nightwish fans can't live an entire day without mentioning Amy, can you?
@@theseeker2586Nope :D
That’s pretty dramatic. They’re both great vocalist. Floor just happens to be on a whole other level than Amy
From the same singer, in her former band, After Forever- Dreamflight live.
You won't regret it.
This is THE gateway metal to non metalheads. Nightwish has great range of song from power(ish) through progressive, folky, heavy af to super epic! Basically you just give a hint what you like you get a list of song. For metalheads Song Of Myself or Romanticide would be the next, if you like celtic, folky than Weak Fantasy or Want My Tears Back, Yours Is An Empty Hope for brutal and we save the epic ones for later ;-)
And movie score feeling is not by accident, Hans Zimmer and Vangelis are major influences for Tuomas (band leader/composer/keyboards)
Love both Zimmer and Vangelis!
Yh its this. And 6 monthd later you're listening to car bomb and meshuggah lol
The music is called symphonic metal and i very populair in Europe and South America. The band is from Finland and founded 1996. So far the band has had 3 vocalists
1 Tarja Turunen (Finish) pure opera voice also very good live. (until 2005)
2 Anette Olzon (Schwedish) more pop style. fine in the studio but not good live. (until 2012)
3 Floor Jansen* (Dutch) (current)
. * She is the vocalist you saw in this clip. She has a classical vocal background education and can sing any style she likes from jazz to opera high to growling low. Believe me when i tell you you have not even scratched the surface yet of what she capable of.
Band members
Tuomas Holopainen (The keyboard player and creative mind behind the band. He writes about 95% of the music and lyrics)
Marco Hietela (the viking with the long beard (Bass and vocals)
Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen (The drummer)
Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen (the hobbit like guitar player)
Troy Donockley ( a person who did not play on this song but is a multi instrumentalist from the UK)
The clip was shot a few months after Floor jointed the band right in the middle of their US leg of the world tour. They asked her to join after tensions between the previous (Anette) vocalist and the rest of the band had rissen so high that they fired her. With close to a year still to go to complete the tour, and their next concert planned 2 day later they, needed a replacement fast. They called Floor because she had toured with them when she was part of the support bands"After Forever" and later "Revamp" on several occasions and they were quiet impressed by her vocals (who would not be?). She only had 2 days, including a flight from the Netherlands to the US, to learn the setlist and only had one rehearsal with the band a couple of hours before her first show and nailed it. Since they were making a documentary about the worldtour a lot of what happened was recorded. The documentary is called "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours" (ruclips.net/video/vhExkmWKMEU/видео.html )
As a next song to take a look at i would recommend their masterpiece "The poet and the pendulum" live at Wembley. Before you take a look at it i would recommend to take a look at the backstory of this song. This will make you appreciate it much more. here is the link ruclips.net/video/gbn9GczYBkw/видео.html
BTW that last note she just sang? Nightwish fan created a whole new word for when she does something impressive like that. We call it a Floorgasm. Welcome to the club and boy are you going to receive a lot of traffic on your channel. ;-)
Thanks for all the great info, Ronald!
@@TheBandSShow Jukka "Julius" Nevalainen (The drummer)
old drummer (but in that video for sure) he quit the touring and drumming (in Nightwish) (because he was having some kind of sleeping problems etc... )
i listen to ghost love score with Tarja , Floor sounds so much better and .... even Live Tarja is to much opera
Love your reactions 😁For a slow and beautiful song: sleeping Sun live at tampere, for a Heavy song with Floor and Marco: weak fantasy live at tampere, for some folk metal: my walden live at tampere, for some beautiful Marco action: kiss while your lips are stil red live at wembley, for the most epic breakdown: storytime live at wacken 😁👍 looking forward to follow your Nightwish journey 👍😊 for the most powerful and heartbreaking song: the poet and the pendulum live at wembley. That song require some background check before your reaction. In short this song is Tuomas suicide. He got so depressed after kicking their first singer (Tarja) out of the band. The fans hated him for it. He spills all his emotions out in this song. They avoid doing it live because its so hard for him. In this performance you see him singing into the sky and emppu(on guitar) and Marco(on bass) going over to him to support him. That performance tears me up every time😪😍
Nightwish runs in a lane of their own, heaven felt that G# at the end.
Welcome to the world of Nightwish...chaos time lol. Holy shit on a stick the Floore factor appears!, You should try reacting to Epica-Sancta Terra featuring Floor Jansen(singer from Nightwish), Fucken blew me away the first time I heard it. Cheers and and rock ya later.
I like your reaction, you're really comfortable and relaxed on camera, honest and have a good dynamic going on, thanks for doing Nightwish! Greetings from Finland :)
everthing is great like it to see the band and floor
I am a simple man. I see nightwish reaction. I upvote.
One of the best symphonic metal bands (since 1996) with the 3rd vocalist, the 6' 1" Dutch dynamo Floor Jansen who has range, power and a commanding stage presence. She was made a member of the band just before this concert at the Mecca of Metal (Wacken Open Air) in Wacken, Germany before 80,000 metal-heads and knowing it was being recorded for a CD/DVD album (no pressure!!). This band has over 100 songs and plays Metal, Folk Metal, Instrumentals, Ballads and even some Pop. The band mixes it up in many of their songs and is at their best LIVE!!!!! Try these other favorites from this great concert:
Romanticide (ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html) for the heavier metal side and Floor and Marco (bassist) dueting!!
I Want My Tears Back (ruclips.net/video/ga-hR7CYbwQ/видео.html) Folk Metal with Troy's Celtic bagpipes dueling Emppu's guitar riffs while Floor and Marco rock out!
Shudder Before the Beautiful (ruclips.net/video/7oQ8sNSYXmQ/видео.html) great opening song that shows off Floor's presence and the bands stage presentation!!
Great job and now the Nightwish army will descend upon you for requests...good luck (Hey Go STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!)
in 96 they played power metal
I believe Floor To be Danish, not Dutch 🤔
@@hannapakarinen6182 Maybe she has Danish ancestors but she was born in Goirle. North Brabant in the Netherlands. That is why she is currently on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers. She lived in Finland (due to Nightwish) but after being married now lives in Sweden. I can well understand why any country would want to claim her especially since before this TV show she wasn't well known in her homeland!!
Nice reaction! Looking forward to more Nightwish 😍👌👍
Loved to see tour faces while listening! Great reaction! Nightwish my fav symphonic band ever. Greetings from Argentina.
Guys, Nightwish are founders of the Symphonlc Metal subgenre
Nightwish - Greatest Show on Eart Live Tampere!
Nightwish is from Finland, except for Floor (singer), she is dutch and a goddess of Metal. She can do anything with her voice. Even growlin' is no problem. Try "Song Of Myself" from the same gig. It's a little more intense than this one. And... try some TOOL by time. You will like it. It's totally different from Nightwish, but TOOL is known to be one of the best rock bands around these days. They are heavy influenced by bands like Zeppelin and have a very complex style of music. Start with "Schism" maybe, wich will let you easier into their style of writing. Go with lyric videos for TOOL. Maynard (singer/writer) is a poet and the lyric are very deep. Also the videos (if there are official videos for the songs) will distract you from the music. By the way, headphones would be a good idea for TOOL.
I almost guessed Finland aloud! I shoulda said it! I’ve been to Norway and Denmark.
Oh and tool is a long time favorite would love to see stan’s reaction- and i’ve never seen them live.
@@TheBandSShow saw them 5 Times and it was awesome!!! Mindblowin
U are not quite right Troy Donockley ( the multi instrumentalist) is from Workington, Storbritannia
@@MsStecarl storbrittannia? You are swede, dane or norwegian? Not related to anything, not making fun of you, just caught my attention :)
You did lots of hard work with your reaction videos so - therefore I would like to say to you, Merry Christmas and Thank You for the year 2019 , those enjoyable moments will stay in my memory. Warm Christamas wishes! Nightwish on my mind since 2000
This is my favorite song of theirs after Floor joined. Such an amazing song.
You guys had a great reaction. Try watching "The Greatest Show on Earth". Live from Tampere. It a long one. Maybe for your next one you should watch "Storytime" from the same Wacken 2013 show. Nightwish is incredible LIVE.
Nightwish is one big rabbit hole. Floor, the vocalist has so many vocal tools under belt that she is far beyond Amy Lee. Though, I know that's were most folks go when they hear the beginning of GLS.. For heavier stuff, check out Yours is an Empty Hope or Romanticide. Poet and the Pendulum is a Nightwish must.. it will be important to understand the backstory relative to the bands history to put the song into context. Nightwish has so many great songs that it is hard to recommend just one. I'm sure the Nightwish brigade which will no doubt descend on your channel will provide plenty of options :).
Great reaction, gentlemen!! Every time I hear that last note, chills. They have amazing talent and range. Greatest Show on Earth, proves it. Floor captures your attention and takes you where she wants you to go.
You've just been FLOORE,!!
Magnificent
Thanks B and S! I liked that reaction for this.
Floorgaaaaaasm! Down the Nightwish rabbit hole now.
Great reaction. Any other song from the Wacken concert would be good. If you like Celtic, try Last of the Wilds, which has been called an Irish jig on crack (instrumental) or I Want my Tears back. Or try Romanticide, which is considerably harder. Nightwish is like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates - you never know what you're going to get until the song is over.Try to always listen to the live versions - they are much better live. They have been around since 1996, and this singer Floor has been with them the last 7 years. I mentioned the Wacken concert, but there is also Wembley and Tampere concerts - not a bad song in any of them. You may have your hands full - the Nightwish nation will be arriving soon.
All the songs I suggested give you a full depth of their abilities as a band. It is once in a lifetime a band like this emerges that can do so many genres of music so well working to the singer at the times strengths. Their greatness will be missed when they leave because everyone will do maybe one or two genres the talent to crossover to as many as they have is unprecedented and they havent finished what is next from them they are recording a new album. They have made a movie that never was produced properly or it would have been big. Very few bands have that in their bag of tricks as well. An actual movie not a concert video. Imaginaerum
The drummer is playing like he's evading death for a split second with every hit.
First time I've seen one of your reactions. I'm 57 and discovered Nightwish a few years ago. Always been a metlalhead though. I'll watch some more of your stuff. Keep it going
With every respect. Nobody is like this magic artist floor
If you didn't know, there were 82,000 people at this Concert. Great song guys and great reaction.
Yes more nightwish!!
-Romanticide
- The Islander live at Tampere
- Floor Jansen as a guest in the band Epica with Sancta Terra
- ghost river
- The poet and the pendulum (read up on the backstory!! And with lyrics)
- The greatest show on earth (save that one until you have seen the above songs or some others, it is a long song you have to take time for it)
Greetings from the Netherlands (the small country where so many amazing female symphonic metal singers are from ;))
I expect you'll get quite a few great suggestions from Nightwish fans.
They're a very cool community.
As far as other suggestions are concerned, now that you've heard a Nightwish song, I don't think you've ever reacted to anything from Mastodon. A bit heavier, but one of my favorites.
Here's 'Crack the Skye': ruclips.net/video/1vGsUQqpByI/видео.html
Dude I havent listened to mastadon in ages but dig them. Certain Stan has never heard them.
Nope. Not insulting us at all. XD. There are indeed Scandinavian and Celtic folk roots in a lot of their music, and Tuomas (the keyboardist / composer) is a massive fan of movie scores in general and Hans Zimmer in particular. He’d probably be thrilled you made a comparison to Neverending Story. Most people go for Pirates of the Caribbean. XD
Came here to say this :D I think you guys made one of the best analysis of their influences anyone has within the first 5min of listening, so good on ya and please continue your NW journey!
the singer on "Neverending Story" was a Frenchman named Limari
LMAO I think it does kinda resemble Pirates of the Caribbean though. I remember listening to this before and my 10 year old sister asked if I was watching one of the movies
Symphonic Metal. N’ she’s awesome. Both her n Tarja both. Amazing talent!!! Tarja Damned abd Divine!
Welcome to the world of NightWish, this is called Symphonic Metal, NightWish spawned the genre. They are truly amazing - maybe check out Ever Dream or Romanticide from this Wacken show for your next reaction 🤘
I love NW since the beginning but to be honest Therion was first and all for symphonic metal at the beginning - when NW was playing kind of operatic power metal stuff.
@@draagnipur8767 I'll bow to your knowledge on that, although it was my understanding that NightWish were the first band referred to as Symphonic Metal, right back on their first album - but I'm new to symphonic Metal so I'll take your word for it dude 🤘
Congratulations on your first "Floorgasm." !!!!!! That is what her last note is called. Welcome to the Nightwish Army!!!!!
Top 3 phrases from new listeners: 1) oh my god 2) holy crap 3) who is this woman, accompanied from floorgasms 😂😂
THEY ARE STORIES.WE DO LOVE CARE AND ARE **HERE** FOR NIGHTWISH.THAT SONG ? 10 YRS PLUS AGE.
Nightwish is not just a Band. It's lifelong journey to your soul and mankind.
I know what you felt, fell in love at the first sight
Keep them coming....
They have a HUGE library to explore, with lots of different styles of songs. Operatic, metal, orchestral score, some pop-ish, romantic, even gettin' down with a jig. Their end-all-be-all masterpiece is The Greatest Show on Earth (either live at Wembley or at Tampere), but Ghost Love Score is one of their many epics. If you want a journey to the theme of "Who is Nightwish?", their Decades live DVD is about to be released and covers their work over the years from start to finish (from the first song off their first album to the last song off their last album).
If you guys do more of this reaction to Nightwish i will instant click the like in every video, like everyone said, Nightwish fans are really in love with this band and with Floor Jansen (the singer), is one of the best bands in the world if not the best in live quality, so try to react always to a like version.

What is really awesome about Floor Jansen the singer, she joined the band in the middle of a tour and had to learn all fifteen songs in 2 days. She did it and they made there next gig.
You've done it now - be prepared for the Nightwish Avalanche - keep going with them and watch your subscriber base skyrocket. You're in for a ride! 82K people at this concert at Wacken Festival in Germany, (pronounced 'Vocken')
I suggest you listen to a few more live performance from nightwish and Floor(the singer) as they are quite the best live at the moment and she is probably one of the most technical, emotional, versatile vocalist at the around hands down..try everdream live (wacken) greatest show on earth(tampere) storytime or romanticide... thank us later ;)
The Queen has spoken
Good reaction guys. You have no idea what you’ve done! The Nightwish Army is in bound.
Nice reaction, great, great band.
Planet hell another hard driving metal song from nightwish with original singer
Thank You!
The band is Finnish and the lead singer is Dutch. Amy Lee doesnt hold a candle to Floor 😎
Omg. Ann’s back. U guys have been anointed with the Ann speech.
you're right, symphonic metal is mostly about telling stories cause of their connection to the folklore or medievil part and the celtic influences. theres a band called "delain" who started a supergroup project with some other singers and recorded an entire album as a musical split in parts (tracks). thats so freakin beautiful. its a whole story put into songs which you can basically put on a theater stage.

vocal perfection
The keyboardist who writes and composes 95% of their music alone, is one of the most talented people in the music business. They have been around since 1996, and they've done all sort of different styles of music. They have over 125 songs, and over 100 of them are masterpieces of music.
