Depends on your goal, if you want to lose weight or gain weight you have to be in caloric deficit or caloric surplus as it’s the only factor that matters « calories in(what you eat) - calories out( you total Daily energy expenditure) »

You don’t need to calorie count on Omad
started omad after watching your and some other youtube videos as i wanted to shed some fat
start date = 6th sept (111.2 kg)
today's date = 19th sept (107 kg)
weight loss = 4.2 kg
height = 6' 2''
workout = 30 minutes cardio + 30 minutes dumbbell + body weight training (as gyms are closed)
daily calories = 1500 - 1700 calories
diet = 1 scoop myprotein impact whey + 1 fruit + multivitamin (post workout )
6 - 8 whole eggs + tomatoes + onions + green chilies + 1 tbsp coconut oil ( bhurji/omellete)
1 bowl (150 ml) boiled mung / channa
2 phulka roti (with 1 tsp ghee) or jira rice (1 bowl)
desert /snacks (preferably chocolates / buicuits / gujju snacks..yes I am from Gujarat)
Initial 3-4 days were very tough for me but after the initial craving period hunger subsided. Very happy with the results. Planning to continue for a month or so.

Yes you can take ACV during fasting also as it has 0 calories. You can try slowly narrowing your eating window from 12 to 8 to 6 hours and so on. But o won’t recommend OMAD for longer period of time

I drank plain water, green tea(without milk and sugar) and black coffee.
And it’s completely fine if you drink once or twice water with salt as it hardly any calories and it helps to retain water also.

Anu Sree Yes sure, even I couldn’t survive with the OMAD for more than 10 days then again continued with 2mad which according to me is more sustainable and you can maintain the weight also if you don’t drastically increase the caloric intake 😊

So!! My weight was 60kgs and i want to lose about 15 kgs to reach my goal in 2 months bcz i was so insecure about my weight then i try to eat 1 meal a day i only had 500 calorie meal like 1 roti with any sabzi then in a month i lose 8kgs now I'm 52 and trying to losee more....
These are very less calories. i would suggest consult a doctor before dropping this much calories. It can cause alot of problems in body and a lot of deficiency. Be careful 😊
I think you have body dysmorphia. This is clearly unhealthy. It will have a lot of negative affects on your body in the long run.

I took 5 times suger tea whole day and chicken cooked spicy , daily roti and rice and fruits eggs and butter. Still oose 5 kg in a week bcs I know the basics and one v imp thing. Which no one talk about

Yes, I did regain weight within a month or so but I started eating a lot that was my fault or anyways during OMAD I was eating very few calories and after that I increased my caloric intake, so, I’d say gaining weight is pretty much expected
Actually u hav to eat the daily caloric intake on OMAD n before u return back to ur normal eating u need to eat less only....start slowly to ur normal eating....1500 on omad means then 1000 or under 1000 on nxt 2 days n then 1500 calorie
did you put on the weight back?
No, not in the first month, i was around the same +/- 500gms but later next month due to prolonged quarantine i started eating shit then i gained 2-3 kgs but that isn't related to OMAD/IF , just my eating choices became bad.
What were the energy levels?
Not good at all. All day I was so low, it was during covid so I could get away with that. I don’t know how will it be now, as for a week I became so obsessive about food May be I wasn’t doing anything entire day. It might be different if I would been busy

How did it affect your cognitive performance?
It did affect my Cognitive performance that too not in a positive way, I thought if i will eat only one meal, i'll be cooking once so less thinking about food. But it was other way round, my concentration went down because all i was thinking about food and i was hungry during the day. So, i left it after 10 days
@@kirtisha1809 10 days are very less time, try it for atleast 3 months without cheat days. It did increase my focus and memory.

@@kirtisha1809 I felt hungry badly throughout the day only for first 2-3 days, 4th day onwards i started experiencing euphoria for no reason, i gained mental clarity and i realised that i started remembering names and numbers, so my short term and long term memory improved too and i found that instead of watching videos i started liking watching them on mute and reading subtitles, so my cognitive ability improved as well.
what went wrong with me is i one day broke my fast and ate a lot and then next day my self control weakened a lot and next few days went as cheat days as well, i restarted it again and started reaping benefits. When i feel hungry now I take green tea or black coffee as appetite suppressors.

With me it was like after OMAD I am just scared if I don’t feed myself when I am hungry then later when I will eat, I’ll eat a lot more than a point of feeling full. And during OMAD also in order to complete my caloric intake in one sitting I used to eat a lot and then I became inactive and sleepy due to excessive food.
And also, do you think it’s sustainable for your lifestyle ? Or didn’t you find it little more restrictive ?

Yes exactly, but you should restrict up to a limit only, going too lesser than your BMR could be harmful.
too less calories can cause weight gain, deficit should only be of 200-300cal

Cookie And mayo I think she means that restricting too much can reduce you BMR(Basal metabolic rate) by reducing the muscles in your body and once even you leave counting and restricting your calories you put up on weight even faster.
Im 77 kgs currently this is my 3rd day on omad Now I don't feel hunger like day 1 I will update after 2 weeks my weight .
