5:45 Puncturing a tree with screws, bolts, or nails won't hurt it. Wrapping something hard round the trunk will, over time. As the tree grows over the years, that clamp'll cut into the bark, and it'll slowly be strangled to death. I know this is a late comment, but if you want to keep your trees alive please switch to deck screws. Even a bolt going straight through the trunk in a pre-bored hole won't deal it damage- just avoid boring holes more than half the diameter of the trunk.
Here's something I found works good to replace your footings....roofing shingles! They are light super grippy conforms to contours decently and easily added and moved about.
Hey!!! I'm in SWFLA....you forgot piles of broken asphalt!!! With all the road construction around here, there is asphalt as far as the eye can see!!!!!🤪 (Got an orange cat too!!!!😁😁😁)
Awesome course and tips and tricks I have a backyard course and where I couldn't go out I went up 3 stories of pallet boards and tree limbs with a Rock first level looks like a mining town meets thunderdome lol I want to try the concrete out😁😀😀✌🏻
Great job on your build, we will be building a few tracks soon. I took a walk out to our un maintained property and we have a lot of fallen trees and about 35 years of leaves everywhere. We are building 3 tracks, very small track for the mini trucks, a track for a road course for my buddies with cars and a track for my brother and I to hone our skills with the Redcat Gen 7’s. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and your family.
Nice cource. I've build one similar in my backyard using scrap wood from my job, and stones from the surrounding fields. here in Denmark, we dont have that many sharp edged rocks and stones. So the challenge here, is to get a grip on the the round and "slippery" stones. I'm thinking about "spraying" them with a thin mixture of cement and gravel, to give them a little more rough structure/surface. Only "thing" to stop me from using scrapped concrete blocks, is my wife...
Love th concrete I'm slowly doing that myself but I just can't do woof stuff outdoors, its rots its expensive I'm far from rich ànd that's my opinion on that but to each their own still gonna visit one day
Wow the course looks great it's come a long way, this past summer,I'm adding 2 new sections this coming summer but man, love how the concrete looks great job brother..looks awesome
The Exoplex looks awesome! A plus for where you live is that it does't get -19C with wind chill outside (todays weather where I live) Thanks for the tips and ideas as I have a course in the works for the spring time!
Could you make a video on how you guys start stacking the rocks, well concrete in your case. I can never seem to get my head wrapped around where to start on my own course.
Wow! Great course! I know it's a LOTS of works to make a course big like this. When i work on my course, it's always Build-Test-Correction-Test Again.I love this hobby .At 4:35 It's the best "RedCat" Crawler ever! He Own the parcours & a tree.....;-)Great job man congrats.
I would love to hear more on the design aspect of the concrete work. Are you planning lines or just geometry that doesn't greatly exceed truck capabilities?
All this time watching your videos I assumed you had a concrete company and that you were bringing the wash out and tear out back to your house. Hand mixing all those bags is some serious sweat equity. What are you using to place the large chunks do you have a skid steer? It's an awesome course I'd love to visit it one day.
That's a cool course! Lots of time and sweat, no doubt. I'd like to know more about the how/why of obstacle design. Is it random, or are considerations made for travel, wheel base, width, approach angles, etc.? Thanks for sharing.
a little random and a bit of thought if that makes any sense. Toss them in place and just visualize if they are drivable or not, if its close, its good enough.
Cool! Have been building a course on my land in Tennessee. Watching anyone and everyone’s build video’s for idea’s. Most of my area is woods so have a number of log runs, some suspension bridge action, teeter totter that is built but not placed yet, a brick run that is a pumpkin catcher, Have a load or two of rock coming so your concrete section has given me great ideas for those. Did you move your larger rocks manually? Or you have a machine?
Awesome course!! How far are you from Ocala? My parents live there and we visit couple times a year always hit up scale Mountain but always looking for other places to visit. I would like to do week long vacation and hit up bunch of different courses. Florida is the meca of RC crawling and you get to enjoy it year round.
JMHZ2401 mr Exocaged I’ve never heard anyone talk about the arrma 550 can 12t and I’ve been looking for a bashing motor for the trx4. Well it’s a super fast brushed motor u should really do a comparison because it would be a perfect Capra motor or any bouncer. I have a titan 12t and it’s a turd compared
If you ever sold your property and didn’t tell the future owners what all this was, they would be sooo confused trying to figure out what you were building 😂

Love how you filled in the holes, seems tires always find them in a crawl
Love it! Looking forward to coming out and crawling!
Taking shape quite well. Looking good.
Hello Sam.
Here's something I found works good to replace your footings....roofing shingles! They are light super grippy conforms to contours decently and easily added and moved about.
I may have to try that one. Thanks!
Awesome scene my friend. That course is huge. Thanks for the tour and the tips👍👍
Just what going to do, find things around the and build something. Got a couple old tries to use. Thanks for sharing 👊
Nice looking course, my course has more cut trees as part of it.
yep, gotta use your natural surroundings in course design
Great course it’s to be proud of. I’m building an indoor 1/24 crawler course and having a blast doing it.
Hey!!! I'm in SWFLA....you forgot piles of broken asphalt!!! With all the road construction around here, there is asphalt as far as the eye can see!!!!!🤪 (Got an orange cat too!!!!😁😁😁)
I don't get asphalt, just concrete. If some asphalt becomes available I'd get some.

Awesome course ! Reusing the fire hoses is pretty neat !

Love the cat . I think sam thinks this video is about him. Lol
I love the “Hand of God” “Ladder back to heaven”. ~;+}>

What a commitment! Great job.
Awesome track, great ideas, my track is always growing
I watch all THIS. I have some good ideas, for mine. Like the footers. NC❤ back yard RC.AND MORE. 🖒✔
I’m looking for ideas for a small course. Thanks for the video ❤
Wow the course looks great it's come a long way, this past summer,I'm adding 2 new sections this coming summer but man, love how the concrete looks great job brother..looks awesome

Exocaged RC ..... O Hell.... Killer 🤙 what’s your monthly dates

I don't need to build anything ... I have trekking trails at the door of my house .. Endless crawler courses ... 😎
pedro da costa that’s awesome
@@ExocagedRC I don't want to say with this that there must be great satisfaction in building a circuit and using it with your rc's👍
Could you make a video on how you guys start stacking the rocks, well concrete in your case. I can never seem to get my head wrapped around where to start on my own course.
basically just toss them where you want them, then shift and make them look like something, I do have some rocks I can do this with.
Sam is a cool dude.....& a complete cat, doing exactly the opposite of what you tell him 😜
lol yep
Would a double heavy duty sip lock bag help to fill in those spots ?
Where do you get all the broken concrete slabs? This is awesome!
I would love to hear more on the design aspect of the concrete work. Are you planning lines or just geometry that doesn't greatly exceed truck capabilities?
Kinda planning lines and kinda how they fall. I do shift rock and set concrete as needed to creat line I see that are challenging but possible
All this time watching your videos I assumed you had a concrete company and that you were bringing the wash out and tear out back to your house. Hand mixing all those bags is some serious sweat equity. What are you using to place the large chunks do you have a skid steer? It's an awesome course I'd love to visit it one day.
the large ones were placed with a small loader, they are too heavy to handle my hand
I wanna be able to build this in like a day, I’m wondering how much crack I’ll need
That's a cool course! Lots of time and sweat, no doubt. I'd like to know more about the how/why of obstacle design. Is it random, or are considerations made for travel, wheel base, width, approach angles, etc.? Thanks for sharing.

@@ExocagedRC Thanks!
thanks helped alot good idias
Where are you in Florida? I just got back home from Panama City beach
I'm not too far from you ( Keystone Heights) . I'd love to bring my rigs over and try your course sometime!
When I'm home you're more than welcome, you may end up on youtube... lol
@@ExocagedRC If you're interested in seeing my rigs, check out my channel!
I wouldn’t do cement due north and frost heave and crack cement

Eric Shanahan some by hand but we did have a small loader to move the vast majority of it.
Yah I have been thinking I need to buy a loader........amazing what you do just to have fun 😂😁😂

Have u ever done a video of your collection of RC?
I haven't, I just have a big group pic on the channel page, still have most of what you see in there.
what setup you run in that red cat ?
Hey bud I accidentally powered my reefs triple 5 at 8 volts for a lil bit. Do you think it messed it up. It hasn't showed anything yet.
nah should be good, I run the rear 555 on the capra at 8v and its doing fine
Do you still have your wood course I never see it in videos
👏 👏 👏
Where can you get the fire hose from?
Stop by your local Fire Department and ask the guys if they have any that failed inspection.....worked for me
Also you can search Facebook Marketplace, letgo or craigs list. I found some on FB cheap.

sure

😂 you’re so right about that!
Haha , your cat is very friendly, I think he likes the course more than you lol
