Thank you so much for your video. On a job 7 hours from home, come in and refrigerator light was blinking and for your amazing video were back in action, by the way on new years eve. Thank you and God bless you for sharing and being a handy man. My dad was also and I miss him everyday 😔 have a awesome new year you saved mine
That’s great! So nice of you to give such a great compliment. Just remember, the safety switch tripped for a reason. Be sure to have your fridge checked out to make sure there isn’t a bigger problem brewing.
You are a life saver!!! This simple reset switch made my refrigerator work AGAIN!!! I will always subscribe to your site, and hope to turn others on to it!!
Awesome! Just be sure to troubleshoot in order to find the root cause of the problem to make sure there isn’t something more serious that caused switch to trip. In my case, the internal contacts were corroded so I had to replace the thermal switch.
I've been wondering about you 2. From Gilbert AZ as well. Please update your followers. I miss you!! I'm sure you have your reasons for being away, God be with you both❤❤
Hi folks, I think we can see you from our Solitude. We are across the street with the big black F450. Hope you are having fun here in good old sunny AZ. OLT
Hi Chris and Shelly! Thanks for reaching out. We came out of Mexico and have been here since Tuesday. Feel free to say Hi when you see us out and about.
Glad you made this video! I was thinking about you both today! Were your ears burning? Lol! Thank you for this tip on the refrigerator when it breaks down in Rvs. Miss you both. I still love you no matter what! Great video!
Might want to do what I did, ditch the abortion fridge and replace it with a 12volt only unit. You have enough solar to support it. You gain space too, as there's no cooling unit hanging off the back. Replaced my Norcold with a Norcold 12volt unit and gained 3 cu ft of space and it cools quick, within a couple of hours and maintains rock solid temps ALWAYS!!
have an older model frig. company wouldn't send me the "retro kit" explaining the same thing.... I wasn't a certified tech... so, I ordered a box of button temp switches for $20. built my own over temp circuit and then added a 2nd button temp switch so that a cooling fan I installed turns on when it gets up to 100 ambient.... I also like to add a "snip the tip" thermistor when I replace a board. Just seems to make the frig work a little better in hot weather....
I have the same refrigerator, but there’s no switch as you described. I’ve checked all the wires, the electrical components, etc., and everything is fine. But I do not have that switch that you have.
The switch could still be bad. The internal contacts were bad even though the over temp circuit breaker didn’t pop. Disconnect the wires to the switch and use a blade fuse to jumper the wires. If the fridge operates then the switch is bad. You may have to try resetting the control board too. Those instructions can be found on RUclips as well.

You have no idea how much time, money, and headache this video saved me. Thank you!
Yes!
As a HVAC contractor I thought about all the safety switches. Glad you found it.

Have missed your videos. I do hope that y'all are staying in a fairly safe area of Mexico.
Hi Brett! We are doing well and are very safe here!
My norcold will not so much as light up but it was working when I bought it. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tried the switch but still nothing. Check light stays on. Good video though.
