The thing with my chronic fatigue it’s not that I’m sleepy, is that I feel like my body is constantly fighting a flu virus and has no energy and constantly needs rest. The idea of riding a bike for recreation sounds too difficult as my legs are just weak like I have a flu. Like my body weighs 1000 pounds and I hardly have any energy to do anything. This sometimes results in a nap but it’s well beyond just being sleepy. So thankful to have found this information and believe I’m going to recover from it.
Basically , you freak out about your symptoms which causes more cortisol which then exacerbates the symptoms, then you freak out even more etc etc . I believe cfs is caused by too much cortisol due to being obsessed and freaked out by symptoms
Cortisol may be the mechanism, but it's not the cause. It's TMS - too much stress. If we learn to soothe our bodies and calm our thinking, the whole system can calm down. Here are my suggestions: ruclips.net/video/3vJgBnrhFt8/видео.html
@@PainFreeYou thank again dan ; i am 62, have had a cfs type illness for 40 years : i had an awful childhood and teenage years, and then hep c from heroin addiction . I gave up heroin at 21 and alcohol also and was cured of hep c in 2005. But i am now sure tms has been at root of it, a lot of buried trauma and emotions, i am lucky to be a musician which has been my salvation. My health challenges have definately been too much stress, unfortunately meditation only helps a bit. It's kind of amazing. You unlocked the solution to so-called long covid years before it happened. It's stunning how the solution is right in front of us but most people choose to listen to those who are still ill instead of those who've recovered.
I work as a scientist for public health, not a practitioner, but most physicians don't even believe in adrenal fatigue, unless you have Addison's Disease or other physical adrenal pathology. You will get a diagnosis of adrenal fatigue from alot of quasi-professionals like chiropractors, alternative medicine bandwagoners selling you adrenal supplements. I agree with you Dan, and I think Dr Sarno would have too.
This is so helpful thank you. I have made the connection myself between feeling tired, digging a bit, and finding anger, stress or sadness, but it's really helpful to hear you explain it. Makes perfect sense, thanks again.
It very well could be. Regardless of which part of the stress response it is, it's part of the stress response. The goal is to teach your brain that you are physically okay already.

The key question is whether or not what they are measuring is the CAUSE of a problem or the result? Perceived Danger is at the root of most symptoms, even what they call adrenal fatigue. My stress is having to provide for myself and all the stress about pleasing those at work. The husband died I don't have enough to retire so I'll be working until I'm 70! 🙄 tired of taking care of everyone else.
I certainly do find it very difficult to let go of my anger at the developer who bought my late parents' house 4 years ago I suspect because the sale of the family home touched on so many unresolved emotions connected with my relationship with my mom and dad. Lots of high expectations and conflicts. Seems that if something else makes me angry, my anger at him will resurface like it's always just beneath my conscious mind. Quieter now, but it sure has been a struggle to release it. Lots of mental gossip. After all I did get paid! You have to wonder if there is a specific strategy for letting go of such long held grudges short of fisticuffs? Look at them logically and realistically like in a Zen meditation? Such things do seem to take time.
Makes sense. Like your child coming to you complaining about too much homework. The solution isn’t to help him to get rid of all of the homework or do it for him. The point is: why did we get here in the first place?
What if it is caused by high dose steriods induced adrenal fatigue? I was on high dose 1000 in my arm for 7 days then 60 a day for 2 months. I have been off for 1 year this past Sep. Now more and more I have low blood sugar and mostly low blood pressure. If I walk the blood sugar goes to 50! Im scared. I have been researching and got blood work was good. But low blood sugar in the 50's then have to eat a lot to get it up. Everyday! I see an endocrinologist tomorrow for more specific blood work. I met a nurse who said they put you back on steriods but I will never do that again! The other option I was told was dealth.
I'll add it to my list. For now, write down your current story and beliefs about fatigue. "If I do this, then I'll be down for days" etc. Then, rewrite the story with the exact opposite beliefs and expectations.

The brain is always active. Always. It's called thinking. Often, it's the belief that some/most thoughts are bad that is the challenge, but here's the thing. We don't have to do anything with our thoughts. We don't have to stop them. But....we don't have to believe them either. ruclips.net/video/A6Z6KO7b0lE/видео.html
Of course stress is going to be the cause, but does this mean the adrenals cannot be worn down in the process? No. Does that mean supplying the nutrients depeleted in this process and artificially restoring the hormonal balance will not be helpful, if not necessary to break the cycle of the disease? I don't think so either. On the contrary, it clearly seems that the chemical imbabances cause additional stress, thereby making it way harder to break the cycle without support. Of course you need to fix the stress, but what if relaxation techniques and trauma therapy only work to a certain degree and then stop working - if keep being constantly stressed out for no reason? Then you're starting to think past stress took its tall on your capability to handle stress and now the chemical disbalances are perpetuating themselves.
