Should women keep silent in church or are they allowed to speak? Well, from the sound of 1 Cor. 14:34-35 it seems as if Paul is commanding that women cannot speak in church and if they want to learn something, they need to go and ask their husbands at home. So, how do we interpret this? In this video, I give you three basic interpretation principles that will help you determine what Paul means by, "women should keep silent in the churches."

Sorry Allen, I think your wrong here. Women are instructed as follows:
      1 Timothy 2: 8-15
8 I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; 9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness-with good works. 11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve; 14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. 15 Yet she will be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

Jose Hernandez Feminist activists will dislike this. But it's so true that men and women have different roles.
Yet, when I preached this 1Cor to a feminist gay who is ex-catholic, he became very emotional, condemned me as a "gender terrorist", and block all my contact.
Perhaps he is very feminine in this gay relationship. He believed deeply there is NWO and he is against it, but become blind to reject feminism is the doctrine of NWO. I told him exactly what you said, Brether Jose, but he gave a F word to me publicly and acted like a possessed devil emotionally suddenly. I feel so sad about that. I preach very patient and kind to him... Hope we can pray for him.
Many people are brainwashed today and they dun accept the words of God. But I hope we can hold the words of God tight and never give up.

I was taught that with the culture aspect, the men where inner courtyard and the women were in the outer courtyard because in that time period women were not permitted to sit with their husbands, so they were yelling from the outer yard to their husbands and that is why they were told to keep silent. I'm always open to learn more of why people believe that this scripture is taken wrong. I firmly believe we need to study and research to get a better understanding of scriptures.

Well there are a lot of cultural interpretations, but you are right in the fact that even I mistakenly was picturing a "church" in Paul's time as a bunch of men and women sitting in pews together! And they certainly would have been separated just as clearly as men and women praying at the Western Wall are still separated! Interesting observation!

This scripture did confuse me, since women in the JW religion do not speak or have any authority and are required to wear a head covering if they say a prayer for a group when a 9 year old male (who is baptized) is present. This has helped me understand better using the three Cs. God bless

When Jesus would speak to the people he only spoke in parables and no one understood him, not even his own disciples, but after everyone left his disciples would ask him and the truth would be revealed to them. Jesus Told them:
Mark 4:11-12 (KJV) And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
He said "all these things are done in parables". When he said this he was referring to everything. Everything and not only the parables he spoke but everything in scripture (and more). When Paul wrote that "a woman should learn in silence" he was explaining something deeper (a hidden parable) that is often not recognized because again no one understands, not even us the disciples of Jesus (But when we ask Christ he reveals the truth to us). Paul gives us a hint near the end of the chapter where we can find the meaning behind these verses.
1 Timothy 2:13-14 (KJV) For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
This tells us that the mystery behind these scriptures can be found back in the story of Adam and Eve. What I am about to share I pray it blesses you. But do not take my word for it. Pray on it and ask God. When we ask him he reveals the truth to us (Mat 7:7).
When God created Adam and Eve the scripture says he "called their name Adam".
Genesis 5:2 (KJV) Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
The scriptures also say that "they were one flesh". Genesis 2:23-24 (KJV) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
They were one flesh and he called their name Adam. Adam and Eve are symbolic of being one, the same person.
The meaning behind all this is this. We are all Adam and Eve. Every single one of us (individually) are Adam and Eve. Here is an example of what I mean: When we were kids we used to watch cartoons and sometimes in cartoons they would show a little Angel and a little devil that would sit on the shoulders of the cartoon character. The little Angel would be saying "do the right thing" while the little devil would be saying "do what you want". The little angel and the little devil are symbolic of Adam and Eve. The voices within us, within our mindsets. Adam is symbolic of understanding the Truth while Eve is symbolic of not understanding. Eve is symbolic of the fallen state, our carnal nature. When God gave the commandment to Adam that he may eat of any tree except of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, Eve had not yet been created. After he gave him the commandment God said "It is not good for man to be alone".
Genesis 2:16-18 (KJV) And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
When the serpent approached Eve, he approached her because she didn't fully understand. because God had not given her the commandment
Genesis 3:1-3 (KJV) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
She told the serpent that God hath said: "Ye shall not eat of it neither shall ye touch it". God never said neither shall ye touch it. Which shows us that she didn't understand.
The story of Adam and Eve is the story of every single one of us (individually). Everyday the serpent approaches us all and tries to tempt us to follow the desires of our flesh. We either know the truth (and do what is right) and listen to the voice of Adam within us, or we do not fully understand and follow our carnal desires: “because it was pleasant to our eyes” (the voice of Eve).
Everyone in the eyes of God are equal. No one is greater than anyone. Men are not greater than women nor are women greater than men. In fact we are all made in God's image.
Genesis 1:27 (KJV) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1 Timothy 2:11-12 (KJV) Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Now when Paul wrote let a women learn in silence he hinted about Adam and Eve. Which tells us that "Man" is symbolic of Adam who understood the truth and "Woman" are symbolic of Eve who didn't fully understand. So when scripture says "Man" its referring to males or females who know the truth, and "women" are male or females who do not understand. When Paul wrote let the women learn in silence what he was saying was : let anyone who doesn't understand (male or female) learn in silence. And that a person who doesn't understand should not teach nor usurp authority over someone who does understand (male or female).
1 Corinthians 11:6-7 (KJV) For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
When scripture says that a woman should cover her head it means a person who does not understand (male or female) should cover their head with the word of God, with the Truth. When the scripture says that a man should not cover his head it means a person in truth (male or female) should not cover their heads with the lies of the world.
Genesis 3:20 (KJV) And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Why is Eve called the mother of all living? Because again Eve is symbolic of our fallen state. Jesus once said "let the dead take care of the dead and let the living take care of the living". To be dead means to not be awoken to the truth, It means to be in darkness, to be veiled from the truth. When we were in the world we were all dead. We were all Eve, we didn't understand the truth. But when we gave our lives to Christ, we were brought back from the dead. We went from being dead (Eve) to being alive. We are alive in Christ and no longer dead. So Eve is the mother of all living because we came from Eve (from being dead to being alive).
Elizabeth said to Mary the mother of Jesus: "Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb". When Elizabeth told her this she was actually referring to all of us. I will explain again women are symbolic of not understanding the truth. We were all once women (males and females who didn't understand the truth). Mary the mother of Jesus is symbolic of all of us. Mary gave birth to Christ through a virgin birth. According to the Thayer Greek Lexicon a virgin is defined as "a marriageable maiden" in other words someone worthy of being married to the bridegroom to Jesus (Yeshua). When we think of the word virgin we think of someone who has never had sex or in other words someone undefiled. But when scripture refers to us as the bride of Christ we are being called virgins because we are marriageable maidens who are undefiled. But wait? How are we undefiled? In Jeremiah 31:34 the scriptures say: "I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more". Which tells us that when we are forgiven we are cleansed of our sins and are made pure. In other words: undefiled virgins. When we give our life to God he changes us he gives us a new heart and a new spirit and we give birth to Christ within us (we receive the Holy Spirit). So when Elizabeth said "blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb". She was talking to everyone who has received the Holy Spirit to everyone who has given birth to Christ within. Blessed are thou (you, me and everyone who is born again) among women (those who once did not know the truth) and blessed is the fruit of thy womb (the Holy Spirit).
Some people tend to disagree when I say that when Jesus said "all these things are done in parables" that he was referring to everything written in scripture. People will say "no that's not true" that he was only referring to the parables that he spoke. But the scriptures tell us that "It is the Glory of God to conceal a matter and the honour of Kings to search out a matter " (Proverbs 25:2). We are also told that it's the spirit of the story that gives life and not the letter because the letter killeth, in other words it's the moral of the story.
2 Corinthians 3:6 (KJV) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
When we are in Christ we no longer walk after the flesh, we are now in truth and we walk after the spirit.
John 4:23-24 (KJV) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
God is all loving and we are all equal in the eyes of God. We are all made in the image of God and he "called their name Adam"
      God bless

What if there was proof, not emotional or "Spirit of the Word" truth, but scriptural proof that this was incorrect and that the interpretation of this particular verse is incorrect? If that were proved irrevocably, that the original Word of God said something different than this - would you accept that as truth or would you stick to this? Moreover - if every respected theologian, even this channel, changed their stance and accepted the correction - would that influence the decision?

    • @awakeandalive4248

@@user-wn8mc1yc1g. You have to go with what 8original text says, in this case if the greek text shows that the English translation and the Spanish translation which says the same is correct you have to honor God's word and not try to change it. by trying to invalidate a scripture is how we end up with false teachings, the culture of that day is not even close to being as bad as the culture of today ,just look around you I see women bossing men around in marriage even in Christians marriage, even in the church I have seen the wife of pastors usurping their authority. God inspired Paul to write what he wrote to protect women not to make them feel less. Women can teach other women but is not God's perfect will for them to be pastors or to be teaching men, however there may be a time when only a woman is capable of teaching his word like in a mission field where maybe the men there don't have the gift to teach and the only one that has the gift is a woman and you have this people living in remote places that have never heard the gospel, I'm pretty sure God would approve of her teaching men in that kind of situation other than that we have to honor God's word.

@@OneMwataK. Is more likely because the pastor is like the head of the church, but of course Jesus is the head of the pastor, like in the family the husband is the head of the wife, but women have very important roles in the church and they can teach other women also prophesy. Jesus could have called 6 men and 6 women for disciples to be the 12 apostles but he chose 12 men for a reason. I think is more to protect women from pride and usurping authority over men 1Timothy explains it very well. The fact is that we have to honor God's word because we can get into a lot of trouble if we start to deny what one scripture says because we don't agree with it, that's how false religions get started.

No where in Scripture does it allude to or mention "but if the culture changes..." we humans tend to think we've got it all figured out better than God and we always without fail have "added" to His Word in the form of "mandates" being followed by the masses. Think people. As for women...just as important and worthy as any man in God's eyes. Period.

ok, after reading some of the comments....those of you who want to argue go find a brick wall to argue with. if you truly want to learn about God's word and know what it says, get in it yourself. find out yourself. youre a smart person arent you? of course you are. what do you do for a living? how did you learn how to do your job? someone showed/told you how, but you really didnt learn it well until you did it for yourself. i did this in my 20's. wanted to know who God and Jesus are without others telling/influencing me. and this is after i was already saved. my dad was a preacher, but i wanted to find out on my own. there are LOTS of bad preachers/teachers of God's word, thats why i say to find out for yourself who He is. dont get caught up in semantics, cant do this, cant do that etc...i believe a woman can be called to teach, you may not. dont get caught up in it. practice what Christ preaches: love, respect, love. what else does He teach? go read the Gospels and find out. dont like Christianity because some pope or priest molested a kid? thats not Christianity. religion is man made, a CHRISTIAN is someone who follows Christ. God bless you Allen, & thanks for have bringing this out, because it’s highly misunderstood. Because so many, even including ministers of sound doctrine who have been preaching for decades, don’t believe woman can speak or teach in church. I’m surprised Voddie Braucham has taken this out of context. It actually saddens me because he is against false teachings which is great. But it’s scary to know that a preacher who has been preaching and studying the word for so long, that they take this out of context and don’t agree with woman speaking or teach in church. Praying for him so God may illuminate him and tell him that he has been taking this out of context because the verse is not speaking about church in specific, rather the conduct of the women with men in regards to teaching. And it’s like you said, the verse isn’t saying all women, so that is why culture/purpose of the book in the Bible has to be considered before applying it to us gentiles.

If you read my comment above, I am extrapolating on that. I asked the pastor if we take 'women be silent in church' literal and w/out context, what about women's heads being covered in church? He said that was a "cultural thing' going back to prostitute's having their heads shaved and waiting for hair to grow back if they'd been "saved." Of course, this cultural context comes from the likes of Euripides and his contemporaries, not the Bible. Which is fine. BUT, I tried to point out to the pastor that he was cherry-picking WHICH verses were interpreted with cultural context and which ones were not; but he would have none of it. To be honest, I think some Christian men use SOME Bible verses as a not-so-closeted form of misogyny. The man I was talking to looked like he was getting quite a kick out of this stuff.

    • @sevp.8185
      @sevp.8185 3 года назад

This scripture means different things. First I think it teaches the accountability towards Godnthat we have.
And second, and I heard two great sermons about it, is in the context of inheritance. In those times only sons were able to inherit stuff and land from their parents. So not the slaves, not the greecs and no females were allowed to inherit stuff. Slaves could only inherit if there were no sons or male persons that could take the inheritance but thats another issue.
So Paul is talking here about the inheritance of God's kingdom, His Spirit and all the promises he gave to his Son Jesus because He is the first born Son and therefore inherits everything from the Father. When we are in Jesus we inherit in him everything that God promised to him. And for this inheritance it is not important if you are a Jew or not, male or female, meaning if you had permission to inherit or not. If you are in Christ, you inherit things from God. End of story

    • @MrInfoPhilly
      @MrInfoPhilly 3 года назад

it means as FAR as inheriting the kingdom of GOD., ALL people can become the sons and daughters of GOD and be saved. AS before., the Jews were the chosen specifically. And the Men were elevated. But there is no special race, gender, or social status to becoming saved., based on the promise given to Abraham., that THROUGH HIS seed all nations will be blessed.
look at Jeremiah 31:31, a new covenant is made., Jesus fulfilled. In which the house of ISRAEL will be saved.... so what about the rest of the world? no jew or greek??
      Read here
Isaiah 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
      which leads to Jesus as a baby in the Temple being spoken about by a man filled with the holy Ghost{read entire chapter}
Luke 2:32 a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Thy people Israel.”
So we Gentiles(non Jews) were already in the plans of Jesus to be saved. So IN CHRIST we are all grafted in to be Jews an inherit the promise of Abraham from GOD.
But thats as far as inheriting the Kingdom of God through the promise given to Abraham.... While we are still in the flesh now., we fulfill our roles., wives being submissive to her husband. Men obeying the laws of the land., and being humble., etc.

Let's also not forget who blame-shifted and listened to the deceived himself. That argument has always been a pretty poor inference, Adam was utterly equal to Eve in stupidity and disobedience.
However, I do think it's pretty clear that God doesn't intend for women to lead churches. The longer I live, the deeper this seems to me. Women do have a harder time being as decisive as men (though we are more sensitive usually, and nurturing), but men also have more of an ego issue.

I just debated someone for 4 days on that topic and it's amazing how people can misinterpret the Bible.
      Woman can't teach... PERIOD.
they need to Be subject to their husbands.
BUT I DO NOT ALLOW A WOMAN TO TEACH OR EXERCISE AUTHORITY OVER A MAN, BUT TO REMAIN QUIET.
      1 Timothy 2:12
For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.
      Ephesians 5:23
But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.
      1 Corinthians 11:3

I was wondering how we will explain 2 Timothy 12

    • @MrGustavo2891
      @MrGustavo2891 3 года назад +3

@@clarenceoliveriii There were prophetesses in the Bible, The 4 daughters of Philip in acts 4 ,no names are given, also Anna,Miriam, Deborah, Noadiah,Huldah and others that the Bible does not give names) in Joel 2:28 also talks about woman who will receive the spirit and prophesy wich the apostle Peter talks about in Acts 2:14 -21
But a prophetess and a teacher or pastor is a different thing.
A teacher teaches the Bible, A Pastor also teaches the Bible and pastors a church
A prophet or prophetess prophesies about things to come,,foretells or foresees .....future things to come.
Now in Revelation 2:20 we have Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess...This are the woman who try to be pastors or teachers
No woman can teach, PAUL said it and Paul had the spirit of God.
People would sometimes use Luke 19:40 as an excuse for woman to teach.... But Jesus answered, “I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!”
      Luke 19:40 NASB
And woman will say..."well if man can't speak then we can"
But Jesuschrist meant this because people were doing this...
shouting: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord ; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
      Luke 19:38
So Jesuschrist meant that Yes God is powerful to make stones cry out...(some commentators say Our Lord meant the Gentiles)
As John the Baptist meant in this verse...
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, “You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance; and do not suppose that you can say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father’; for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.
Matthew 3:7‭-‬9 (also some commentators say it could be the Gentiles)
Theres this verse too that they might use
Now hear the word of the Lord , O you women, And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a dirge.
      Jeremiah 9:20
This verse talks about woman teaching their daughters to lament, wailing, not teach scripture.
Timothy was taught by his grandmother Lois and his mom Eunice 2 Timothy1-5, I'm sure at home..it had to be that way because his father was Greek and an unbeliever....Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And a disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a JEWISH woman who was a BELIEVER, BUT his father was a Greek,
      Acts 16:1
PLEASE READ LOTS OF SCRIPTURE, I HAVE SEEN AND HEARD MANY HERESIES SUCH AS "WHAT PAUL WROTE WAS A MYTH" OR "THE BIBLE ALONE OR THE WORD OF GOD ALONE WONT SAVE YOU" PEOPLE READ MANY BOOKS AND CAN ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO BUT PEOPLE WOULD READ MANY OTHER BOOKS BUT NOT THEIR BIBLES AND THAT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS, ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE TO TEACH YOU THE WORD SUCH AS PASTORS AND BIBLE TEACHERS WITH ACCURACY, SOUND BIBLE TEACHING AND SOUND DOCTRINE.
PREACH THE GOSPEL OF JESUSCHRIST A GOSPEL OF REPENTANCE AND POWER....GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR UNCONVERTED FAMILY MEMBERS IF THERE ARE ANY..MAY HE GRANT THEM REPENTANCE, EYES TO SEE EARS TO HEAR AND A HEART TO BELIEVE.

This reminds me of a story our pastor told us. To keep it short he wanted to run for state governor. He did a great job at running and even taught some people about the Bible. As the election rolled around he never won. He was quite upset and asked god why he didn’t win. God said it wasn’t his place, that was all he needed him for. As women we can still teach people about the Bible, even men, just not in a church setting. More specifically being a pastor. At least that’s what I take from it anyway.

I don’t find the lack of education argument compelling because back then, in that culture, most men were also not educated. In fact, 1 Timothy 2:8 indicates that in Ephesus (an even bigger/deeper cultural root of goddess worship than Corinth), the men were also quite unruly in church. Even in 1 Corinthians 14, verse 6, 20, 26 & 39 notes that both men & women were unruly.
I have heard an argument that in that culture, women were accustomed to dominating worship because of their cultural roots in Aphrodite worship that was later merged with the worship of the goddess Isis. That seems to be a more compelling reason to single women out for a special dose of public shame rather than lack of education to me.
But that being said, I still can’t make sense of 1 Corinthians 14:35 since obviously not every disorderly woman in church has a husband/man & even if she did, not every husband/man is knowledgeable enough to answer even rudimentary questions. But the next verse seems to indicate that wasn’t really the problem at all. The sarcastic nature of the questions exposes that there was a power battle where these unruly women were not asking legitimate questions so much as they were trying to usurp the service with prophetic answers of their own (perhaps through the use of rhetorical questions).

      Thou Shall Not Kill... { Is this a commandment or culture }
~ 1Cor 14:37 Paul states himself that he is addressing the issue of the Corinth Church as "commandments of the Lord". I'm confused as to how he was addressing culture. A commandment of the Lord Is not culture.
~ 1Cor 14:33 Paul himself wrote as in "ALL THE CHURCHES OF THE SAINTS" He was not just addressing Corinth for that timeframe. It's was meant to all churches with the same issue. "all" means all.
~ 1Tim 2:11-15 Here Paul was not dealing with culture, he was dealing with teaching this as a leader. He instructed Timothy (an upcoming Bishop) to teach this to all churches. It's amazing that Paul is instructing Timothy to teach the same thing.... 1Tim 6:20-21
I'm am not against woman doing anything for Christ. However, the key word is "In The Church" It amazes me that there is so much work and teaching to be done by everyone "outside" the church but we waste time going back and forward with each other with issues that the Word has made clear. It has been this way since Moses time
~Numbers12:1-9 Miriam was a prophet just as Moses was. However, when it came to speaking to Israel, that was given to Moses. That was God's order. Have anyone ever consider why only Miriam was punish and not Aaron when both were guilty....??? Numbers 27:16-17
      I just want to show that this has always been an issue among God's people. I don't understand why because the word is clear. How can we look over things like "all churches" and "commandments of the Lord" {going back to 1 Cor 14}
Love You Bro... Be Blessed... Stay Faithful.... Stay Strong....

Definition: From G4602; to keep silent (transitive or intransitive): - keep close (secret silence) hold peace. ]
Another fascinating study we Christians must understand is found in 1 Timothy 2:12
    Paul wrote:
I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.
But once again if you look at the word here it means this:
    [Greek: ἡσυχία
    Transliteration: hēsuchia
    Pronunciation: hay-soo-khee'-ah
Definition: Feminine of G2272; (as noun) stillness that is desistance from bustle or language: - quietness silence. ]
I think in both cases God wanted these women to cease from busyness, to be still in the house of the LORD.
    One of the reasons
it is so vitally important we understand these passages in scripture, is because time and time again we find misogyny where it certainly does not belong, and that place is the church of God.
Double minded men take these passages of scripture OUT OF CONTEXT and use them as weapons for abuse and "Biblical" examples of their views.
Abuse and Misogyny are two extremely serious sins from the pit of Hell, Praise God he will not take it lightly.
There is no excuse for misogyny in the church of God. And there never will be.
Thank you so much for talking about the importance of reading the word in context and for tackling such and very tough but nessasary topic.

.What is unclear with this interpretation is women cannot speak over men, but their mother is female and in many homes taught, and took them to the Bible. Now that you are all grown up, women cannot speak over you. When men start looking at women as servants and not who they physically appear to be, we will begin to be united as one in Jesus Christ. God uses whatever is necessary for his purpose, remember the donkey? Jesus did not create denominations either, but they exist, tradition. Christianity is a movement. Denomination literally means division, the work of Satan. The Scripture confuses many because even though the church was started, they were still Jewish Apostles with specific codes in their culture that they followed. The contemporary world has women standing in both places as mothers and fathers and works every day. So how does going to a husband make this matter appropriate in our time? This walk is an individual endeavor, and you must find out for yourself what God has revealed to you through your study, prayer, application, and relationship with God. Just as a denomination was not in his plan, and interpretation must come from the utterance of the Holy Ghost.

@@sharonbrooks2535 there were 12 apostles, was one of the 12 apostles /disciples woman??
I think it is quite clear that Jesus knew why He only choose man and not woman.
He only allowed men to become apostles. THAT HAS TO BE CLEAR IN THE REASON WHY HE DIDI THAT.And for those saying mary magdalene was also there ,she was not one of the 12 ,she was just a woman who wanted to learn and be by his side.Just like his mom.She was never a disciple or apostle.Because she knew His amazing grace over her former life.
