Kurt just proved that humans don’t connect across cultures because they fear each other. A fearless man who respects everyone he meets has no cultural barrier. The tribe welcoming you brought me to tears. It was a beautiful moment of human connection crossing all barriers of race and culture. An amazing moment.
They are literally third worldist
truly, inspiring to me as a white man with love to give
Omg you actually believe this is the first white man they have ever seen? Look at their clothes, did you see their cooking Pots? Lol
Truly a beautiful moment ❤️
Not necessarily true, many cultures were just extremely brutal and not the least bit ecumenical.
to be accepted into a tribe and also be a historical moment for that village is 100/10... Kurt, you do realize multiple generations will be talking about you for years to come, stay humble my friend. thats why i like you, you stay humble, you're not cocky, arrogant, none of that. you're a down to earth human with great humbleness. keep on keepin on Kurt! cheers
CHEERS TO KURT HE HAS NO IDEA
He's VIP man

You're going down as a legend in that village Kurt. I'm Papua New Guinean and I'm impressed with the courage you got. Respect 🙏
Do you think this could lead to other tourists visiting the villages, especially if the locals are in control and directly benefit? I'd like to go, if it could be done securely and the locals benefit and want it.

These are the videos I love. Immersing yourself into a culture. whether its traversing an unknown city most of us will never visit, or interacting with a remote tribe. Eating the food, chatting with the people. This is where you shine. Nicely done Kurt.

This was a rough video to sit through Kurt. I can only imagine how you must have felt killing the pig. It must have felt powerful being around this tribe but surreal knowing that you’re a foreigner. This channel has opened my eyes to just how different people live around the world. The real world. In the west, in Europe and much of the Americas, we are so lucky to walk into a grocery and pick our next meal. We don’t have to scavenge for food, it’s all there just waiting. This tradition seems more primal and community oriented, it’s so interesting, so real and beautiful . Safe travels where ever you go next!
Thank you brother. Thank you for visiting Papua New Guinea, especially the highlands. Your genuine exploration of our culture and connection with the people in remote locations has made a lasting impact. Hi Curt, as a Papua New Guinean from the Highlands, I really enjoyed watching your video. I believe you've really touched the hearts of many people in Papua New Guinea, especially the people of Hela. I just love the part where you said "people can come to Papua New Guinea, don't believe all the lies from Social Media." Papua New Guinea is a really good place, the people are friendly and respectful. You're fearless and you're going beyond what someone from a civilized country could do. Most times white people come to our country but they don't often do stuff like that, going around with young boys in the streets of Port Moresby, eating fast foods from the street markets, chewing our betelnut with lime, drinking the country's number one beer (SP), drinking our energy drink (Bu) up in the Highlands, traveling our cold mountainous and bumpy roads and you broke the hearts of many Hela people by killing the pig and enjoyed the mumu with them. I just love how you enjoyed yourself here in PNG and showcasing our culture, our people and our lifestyles to the world. Thankyou Curt for your courage and bravery, you are a real hero. I just want to support you on your comment to the world that PNG is not a bad place to visit and people can come to PNG. All the bad social media news is just a small part of PNG, the whole country is a great place to visit and all people are very respectful and kind to new comers. Thankyou for telling the world that PNG is not a bad place after all. All the best in your future endeavors😊
What a heart warming, once in a lifetime experience. Wonderful to see such a vibrant community welcome an outsider with such honor. Much respect.
The fact that you have not died visiting places like these is what makes this content great, no one is trying to do this and none of us would probably be willing to do it. You’re showing us something most people will never see.

For me this is one of your most memorable videos man. Excellent work. You've earned those 2.5 million subscribers and I'll raise a beer to millions more. And very good on you mate to give back what you could. I'm sure it meant a lot to them. Really man I can't say enough good of you go along with everything offered. I've been in situations myself where you are amongst a native peoples and they invite you participate in something unexpected. And you go along because it is the proper thing to do. So big ups.
Out of all the videos Kurt has published on RUclips, this one by far has the most sentimental value.
I'm very happy and honored to be able to witness this, even if it is only through my screen.
This is just pure immersion with a rich culture - mind you, no tourist will ever get close to what you just did or go where your heart takes you. One of your best yet, if not the best, Kurt. Thank you for visiting our country and taking everyone on a thrilling ride first-hand thru your lens, as it is, without the media spin on trivial issues painting a stereotypical negative picture every time, is just marvelous!
Lmao y’all really meat riding Kurt so hard. There are millions of tourists who do shit like this all the time, they just don’t post it online, but even than there are many other RUclips channels who have done this with tribes before Kurt. Kurt makes good videos, but the glazing you’re doing is ridiculous. Imma guess you don’t travel much yourself, because if you did you would realize many other tourists have done this before Kurt. You seriously need to get offline and travel yourself.

I smiled all the way through this. Well done Kurt.... a million times better than the flashy Dubai videos with some random chick
Felt like he went back to his roots on this one.. the flashy Dubai bs was to satisfy his ego IMO, but he’s still young and when you get a huge increase in money you’ve never had, you can’t really blame him for the flashy Dubai super car hot girl stuff. After going to so many countries of poverty full of ghettos, he definitely needed and earned that trip though.
Air con, Ferraris, fifth degree heat or this experience??
I know I’d rather do & watch this than all the flashy designer shite in the west.
but Dubai is in the east? It's not about west or east. I live in the west and this type of village life is how I grew up. It's about developed vs non-developed. And trust me you would think is great and all until a family member is dieing from some curable disease and you can't get access to the kind of treatment that is available only in developed countries. Besides you can still get this type of life even in developed countries. There's a lot of countryside in the US etc
Indeed!

I'm not going to lie, as an American, and before seeing Kurt's PNG series my mental picture of PNG was remote jungle sparsely populated by uncontacted savages thanks to a NatGeo documentary I saw as a kid. This was really eye opening and educational. It makes me wonder what other parts of the world I have been given a false view of because of American media.
not to sound too much like an asshole but when someone says uncontacted savages this is just about exactly what I picture lol
u just said u seen it as a kid. population has probably grown immensely since then. still live in jungles as u can see, just more unified than other remote places like the amazon. However there are still areas in png that are just as remote, as it is still mostly jungle. Not everything is black and white and natgeo wasnt giving a false view lol

I don't know how old you are but if the image of a country is based on something you saw as a kid it's not going to be accurate no matter what it was and it's not the fault of American media, I am 99.9% sure you can find up to date documentaries about PNG and other countries also from American media. In the end there's a lot of sources of information in today's age.
The island of New Guinea is still largely forested. For now. Both sides of the line are under threat from the palm oil industry. We all really need to start thinking about the products we purchase.
