  • It's my parents' wedding anniversary, but Alzheimer's has my mother in hospital and confused from dementia. A year ago, she sat down for an interview about her life for a video biography.

Thank you for sharing your vid story Scott. I thought being a nurse would surely be the best in home care and support my Mom could have with her advanced Alzheimers. I was wrong. It truly is akin to a cancer of the personality the way it can absolutely rob and obliterate, your loved ones's true nature and character (for some only not all). I'm suffering from significant PTSD behind this after loosing my Mom right before Christmans 2021.

This scared me to death. Moved 3 hours to be with mom. Still driving and mostly good. walking 2 miles daily, reads and enjoys word search.....But she can't remember or problem solve. Hardest part is being clueless to the speed or slowness of the decline. When will she not know me. Only child, and its mine to work thru. Horrible disease.
    Thanks for the video!

God Bless you, Scott. This brings back memories of my mom. She passed 24 years ago, and I wish I have a video of her as I knew her. My main memory is how she was during her decline….. it’s like two different people.
