  • Now that the exterior is done, it's time to start on the interior. I ordered some black trim from IND to replace the janky stock interior panels. I coated it with CSL and EXO to help alleviate the chance of scratching. I also started cleaning up the leather with Swissvax Forte and treated it with Leather Milk.

One thing I use on my maintenance interior wipe downs....SWIFFER 360s. Perfect for a quick wipe down of dust. etc. and super quick. I keep one in all my vehicles for my OCD moments.

We have 3-4 UPS devices installed at any given time here at home. Can't imagine running computers/networking/TV/etc. without them being on one. When the power goes out for a second or two, our movie night doesn't stop. When it goes out for over a minute or two, we shut down everything gracefully. No more interruptions or blown data drives.
Get the UPSs. They are super useful, and quite affordable for the time/money they save.
Maybe if the power went out only once every 5 years or so I'd not have them, but where I live the power might go out 3-6 times a year.

I use a Festool dust extractor for interior vacuuming.
Top quality product, amazing performance......only downside is it’s expensive but I don’t think that’s something that would bother you.
I use the Festool Midi as its not too big to manoeuvre around the car like some of the others they make.
    Great long hose as well.
    Definitely worth a look 👀

Love that you like the M3 best. 😀👍 I think this car is so amazingly cleaned and detailed that BMW might want to buy it for their museum. Been fantastic thank Matt

Awesome video, I think this the first time I see you cleaning an interior more than 10 minutes, LOL. That trim looks awesome, but it will scratch just by looking at it, I would have replaced those pieces with carbon. You have a new interior cleaning guy, LOL!!, Great video Matt

The windscreen does protect inside from UV but the side and rear windows in almost all cars do not. Alcantara, as well as other materials, will fade in the sun and change colour over time. So, for someone looking to prevent this from happening a fabric coat is a good idea.

This car is sick! Definately de-grandpad it ;) Those small details (start button) really make the car unique.

This is going to be the coolest looking and running M5. I suspect that Matt may keep it for a few years. However, he might look for another one with a different color paint and do the same thing over again. Who knows? That is one fast sedan rated at 155 mph top speed 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds.

I love the Swissvax kit , It’s the best cleaner and conditioner I ever used, it brings the leather back to original matte finish,I’m glad your stocking this now sometimes it’s a pain in the arse to get
Looking forward to try the colourlock too

Antimatter what would be better? I just saw colourlock and I thought that was the best to use?

Cheyenne Obregon I’ve been using Swissvax for 2 years and if you like your leather like factory style, no greasy or slippery, no smell, with a nice matte finish the Swissvax is awesome , But it’s comes at a hefty price , I will give colourlock a try it may be just as good and similar for a more reasonable price , You can also see in the video how Matt reacts using Swissvax it’s really good stuff .
I also like the fact it’s so easy to apply

Used Meguiars scratch X followed with light polishing to take scratches out of high gloss wood grain paneling. Works great on piano black finish also.

    Hi Matt,
I am just revisiting this video for a quick question on Swissvax Leather Milk. Just purchased last month and used it yesterday. Does it have gasoline like solvent smell to it?? Is that normal?

Hey Matt, Try using compressed air for the nooks and crannies of the interior. it works wonders at my shops. even a Tornador® gun tool is useful for that. Cheers from Barbados #ilivewhereyouvacation

BMW trims are the worst when it comes to scratches, the lightest of graze and you'll have a fine line scratches, but when your clumsy passenger bumps into the trim it leaves deep scorings easily. So rule to thumb, microfiber wrap your passengers limbs or leave them behind.

Most leathers in cars have a clear coat , so pretty much pointless for the leathers and protection. Just use apc

    • @BrianGuy
      @BrianGuy 4 года назад

Not true. APC’s usually have a very high concentration of chemical solvents that’s not necessarily the best for leather... Example: would we clean our own skin with APC?? Or better yet, a dedicated cleaner that’s gentle on our skin??
APC will absolutely do it’s job of cleaning but the long term effects will have a negative benefit to the leather.
