Gotta love detailing this is why I enjoy it so much. Just seeing it shine and the clean look of it all is just satisfying. Even on my days off from work I still will detail my car and make it last me a good while because I enjoy it so much
Matt, get the new AUDI RS6 wagon!!! your qualms sound like them may be resolved with wagon setup. and the power and feel will be up to par with your imagination.
Nothing wrong with the silver Matt. In the opinion of a 70+ year old, that still plays with cars.

@@ObsessedGarage Just to be the contrarian, if you drove first and cleaned second then when you look at the M5 in bettween drives it will be closer to pristine clean for many hours of viewing pleasure without having to clean the M5 again(if you do clean the M5 a second time then the suggested change of order would save water and cleaning product as well). Am I crossing a line in suggesting a different approach?😥

I really like the 601M wheels on an f10 M5.
I think I like the look of the 601M wheels more but too bad they're not forged like the 343Ms. I think they weigh about 5 lbs more but I doubt you'd notice on this car.
This car looks and sounds so good. Such a different tone that what I am used to hearing. Even with the grandpa door handles. The nice walk around before you cleaned a clean car. ;)

After at moved to an apartment in Copenhagen I haven't washed the car for almost 3 months now. Finally I can understand the people who don't wash their cars so often. Man it sucks when I look at your clean car. No scratches. Not even one.
Dont worry about the length of the video. I enjoy when you go into detail when washing cars. Its always nice to learn tips and tricks from others
It’s bitter sweet. The power this car possesses. It’s so fast, but can get me into trouble. Always have to watch my speed mine. Can’t afford another speeding ticket. 😂 Looking for a daily driver.
I love the silver. I got my 335i m sport in silver and I’m glad I did. The BMW body lines in this color show well. Awesome car. Looks great 👍🏻
This is my dream super sports sedan. 4-doors of pure twin turbo V8 German power that handles and brakes just as well.
I fully agree on your comments regarding how you can't really "get on it" without nearly instantly having to take your foot off the gas because it accelerates too fast (or at least your exceeding the speed limit very quickly). I've discovered the same thing in my 392 Charger; I can only really get it into second before I have to shut it down due to the speed. Oh well, it's a nice problem to have, haha.

Great car and very nice mods. I truly feel everyone who is able to should try to detail there own car it need not be an awesome M5 just a humble daily yet the benefits of regular moderate physical activity multiplied by the years we own our cars all contribute towards good health and wellbeing that everyone needs. Really like the wash and drive format along with the close up wash shots. Crazy amount of foam in this wash it seemed. Keep them coming! Gotta get one of those hats your wearing as well...👍🏻
Concerning the MTM snow foam cannon bottles, in other quality brands of cannons I have had great success using the bottles from 1 Litre sprayers. These are more of a triangular profile with a wide base to aid stability. Quality isnt as good obviously but the design is better.

How do you recommend washing ( and rinsing) door jams and such? I can't think of a great way without just getting the interior wet. In this video I saw you wash the door jam of passenger rear door but not rinse. Also, found this channel from the G&G amazing garages video, top notch

Take it from me, use the DCT in manual mode! It will make that M5 come alive and be fun.
Im going to sound a little bland but i think the silver with black looks really good especially with that front lip. I think i just have an odd special spot in my heart for 5 series no matter the color.

I'd like to make an offer, an offer on how to get those windows perfect. ONR @ 1:256 with Waffle Weave of choice. BTW, I have great disdain for the PF22, started the day I unpacked it. Logically, there is no reason that the current bottle makes sense, even from a design or physics point of view, the bottle is rubbish. However, the PF22 still cannot be beat.
I think I’ve tried a dozen different techniques on windows and ONR is what I keep coming back to
@@pulledofftheroad Bro, I have tried a dozen and a half. The ONR approach is 99% guarantee of flawless windows. I just works, and also doesn't work with any other RW/WW concentrate. ha

Idk Matt i tried the new Adams wheel and tire cleaner and i like it more than break buster. Guess because it gives me that orange dew when im scrubbing the tire like the tire cleaner does on its own. Both work well for my 37" mud tires on my F250 tho
Wish we had the shape and wide mouth of the TriNova bottle with the efficiency of the MTM foam siphon system...
I agree that the M5 looks better with the stock wheels but I'm not feeling those wheel lugs.

I assume your using 2 GoPro's to record your drives. Can you talk about your setup, it looks likes one inside facing you and one outside on the road. Just curious about your setup.
Yes. Two Hero 7s. I use the Go Pro Mounts. Inside car in Wide and exterior in Linear. Then I have a single mic on my seatbelt. Edutige ETM-008.

I raced a 2019 M5 at the Thermal Raceway, with a top speed of 140 MPH, if want to really get to know this vehicle try it in those conditions - it was pretty freakin amazing.....although I really thought the M4 Comp Package was slightly better for my taste....

Steel rotors are only a few mm smaller. It is just as much a pain in the ass to clean the wheels

Circling back around to this M5. I decided against another E90 M3 and got an M6 gran coupe, essentially same as this. How do you like the ESS tune? Which one did you go with? Also, on the seats, try the M6 seats.
I never installed it. I ended up doing Active Autowerke.

The ZEP bottles from Home Depot seem good to go... Nice long neck on the 32oz commercial version too.

Those bottles and sprayers are not very good. I'm not sure why people are always suggesting this. They are like 25 cents.

Water behavior!! Exactly, it’s not end of the world if you don’t get the “tight beading!” It’s about the protection and look! Any sorta wax will give you “beading and water sheeting” who cares haha

What about after 2 years of the coaring on the car. Go thru the contamination wash process & & 2 coats of Exo 4. Would that work or do we hv to go thru compounding/polishing the car?
You'd could do that depending on how aggressive you get with decon and how much you care about perfectly corrected paint.
I noticed you don’t switch to a different wash pad when cleaning the lower areas, have you explained why in a video?
I have. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. You clean the top, cleaner areas, then you wash the lower, dirty areas, with the "clean" pad from the top. Then throw it in the washer and start fresh next time.
The cf mirror caps are just stick on over stock? Or were they full replacement? Didn’t see a video of the install. Love the car btw, silver fits the look well
They are full replacement of the OE painted caps.
Did you have to disconnect the battery when you installed the Red M1,M2, and start buttons? When you rev one to battery do you have to Re-register it to the car? Thanks

Hmmm... Good question. I would say neither. They are more utility and good looking that fun.
Thought you had plans to swap out the chrome on the handles. Do those not pop off as easily as one would think or would you have to replace the whole handle?
They don't just pop off. It is a big project to change it.

Matt, sorry if you’ve covered this before, but what are your thoughts / experiences with CeramicPro coating?
Meh...they are Pro Only and have had some bullcrap marketing. They have hired some solid dudes over the past few years and have started to improve their reputation, but I've choose other options. Their coating isn't bad, but I think there are better options.

I've only ever used v1. It was not very good. I've heard v3 is pretty decent.
