This handshape/sign can also be used a bit more casually. It is not uncommon to see it used as a parting gesture between friends. Depending on the situation you could use this either way. There is a sign in which you cross your arms across your chest (see it here) ruclips.net/video/0bPCY4BjdG4/видео.html Also, check out this link for some additional info about the ILY handshape.

Hi and thanks for watching. I'm sorry to hear that your wrist is in pain when you sign. The only thing I am aware of is "warming up" your wrist. Often on my way to work (I work as an interpreter - ASL) I squeeze a stress ball. It's a tip I was taught very early on to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.

    • @ASLLOVE

It's a great question honestly. It can be used as both. It depends on the context of the situation/conversation. If you notice, I use it at the end of my videos to "sign off" with. Without seeing it, I can’t be sure but that sounds similar to the movement for “yes”. Maybe he means yes, yes I love you. I’m only guessing.

It would depend on how you interpret it. I wouldn't want to sign FOREVER - FOREVER but maybe the signs FOREVER - ALWAYS together.
