03.03.2024 - I am a ground zero beginner in ASL and your mannerism in teaching is outstanding. You teach at a level that I completely comprehend. Other instructors sign so quickly as if they are teaching an experienced signer that I do NOT understand. I am just beginning to learn this language, and I need 1st grade instruction to supplement with my Saturday Signing class. So Thank you for taking your time to instruct this beginner.
@@SigningWithOmar Absoluenty a delight to learn sign language with you! Not only do you provide a wonderful tutorial but the ease of comprehension provides me a sense of success. Thank you!
Absolutely agree! I am the learner just like you described @ericallen4123 @SigningWithOmar allows me to follow with understanding and visually seeing what exactly the hand positions are. FANTASTIC!
AGREEEEE starting a new language with a totally different structure from scrap is hella hard. Being thrown into the deep end is confusing. This is exactly what I've been looking for
He takes his time to teach each movement with details to make sure you understand. I like when he shows how it looks facing the person and from the side. It gives me a better understanding. Thank You
I'm a DSP and my client is Deaf. No one knows how much he knows and because of you I am starting to recognize and learn what he says and how to talk with him. Thank you very very much. I was not given training for it. I'm so happy to be able to communicate with him a bit better!
I just found your videos today and WOW! I have been trying to learn ASL, and it's been too fast pace for me. I really appreciate how you break every sign down.
I think you have one of the best pacing and explanations of common signs I have seen. Some of your signs are slightly different from what I learned, which is extremely helpful. Slight differences in the signing methods are like "accents" and it helps to see how different people sign common signs. Great job!
You are so blessed to be able to teach and assist. I am hearing but ASL is a helping to communicate with a not hearing friend at our local YMCA. Also keeps my ancient brain working. Thanks and God Bless all your endeavors. You are a great communicator.
Wow, you are a born educator. I'm using RUclips to help me learn asl and have found several good teachers, but you're the best. Signing at conversational speed then slowing down, showing each sign, individually, from both the front and side perspectives and then re-signing at conversational speed is the best technique I've experienced. I can't thank you enough. May God bless you for your good works.
I just watched this video with my 7 yr old grandson. I've been teaching most of my "littles" (grandchildren) ASL since 2020! I learned some ASL in 5th grade & after rededicating my life to Jesus on 3/3/2020, the Lord renewed my love for ASL worship & ASL in general, so I began doing video visits with my grandchildren to supplement their education while at home during that difficult first year of lockdowns. I noticed your shirt has JESUS on the sleeve! I love it!! God bless you, sir! 👑✝️❤️🌎👨👩👧👧🐑☝🏼💪🏾⚓️🪨🏔🏰🛡🗡📖🙏🏻🛐🎶🙌🏼🧂🕯💧🔥🕊🤟
I have a client I work with that will especially appreciate these videos. One of his largest complaints is that he feels like he is stuck in his head because people do not know how to comunicate with him. He has taught me a lot but these videos will help a lot more. I appreciate the work you are doing. He also doesn't know sign like you would think and I feel like me learning will only help. This guy is fun to talk to. THANKYOU for breaking it down in a natural level. Only a few folks on you tube really do this.
The way you demonstrate signs and your pacing is outstanding. However, I am HOH, and I cannot hear your narrative. Either the talk must be MUCH louder, or you need to fully caption, not just show a key word, if you want to be wholly accessible to the HOH community (we are a large community, and getting larger every day as the population ages).
@@Unidentified863they’re saying that they can’t hear his words/explanation, so they are asking that he adds subtitles to the video so they know what he’s saying
