It should be stripped and redone. Why do shocks when its likely all the bushings are bad from front to back.
This car needs to be stripped all the way to the frame and rebuilt up. However I don't think this guy has 50k laying around to do it right, so a few snap on parts, some videos, plus subscribers, why bother.
I wouldn’t strip and restore this car it’s not worth it to a coupe, you can buy coupes here (Ohio) running and driving waaaaayy better than this for 5000 all day long I’d do a maaco pain job for 1500 and undercoat the underneath and just make her a presentable daily driver

Fastback roof swap, disc brakes, 5 speed & 347 stroker.
Front is perfect, but drop the back to match.
It can be stalling from your vacuum advance over advancing the timing to quick. Try taking the vacuum advance off the distributor and blocking off the hose on the intake side

Fuel filter, idler pulley maybe ? Or crankshaft ?
You should change the air filter for a cold air intake. Let more air flow to the engine, that way the the car doesn’t struggle to breath. And you did get new headers so it would make sense ✌️

Ride height is good. Do over whole suspension and brakes too but maybe body and paint should be first.

What you should do? Don't get the car. Wait. I'm 19. Was just like you, I had no credit. They will completely FUCK you on interest in a heartbeat with no remorse. I'm talking like 20% APR. Easy. I joined the Marines at 17, got a credit card through them and built my credit for two years. I'm 19 and have 750 credit score. Now I'm looking at buying a car myself. And I already have a Harley. Patience is key my friend.

That frame has a lot of rust... it’s probably going to cost you around 15k just on body/frame work and paint...

The front looks OEM cause they have the undercoat sprayed on then covering the blue. On mine they arent sprayed sadly :(
I would totally sand down those fender liners all that rust is no bueno. Atleast sand and throw a coat of black paint in it

It’s at the perfect level now just get bigger wheels and wider tiers also you might want to get a better braking system cuz I have a 65 and as a classic owner The breaks suck.
Give it a paintjob with racingstripes, should make it perfect for the eye

Just get the entire bottom of the car sand blasted and replace parts as needed.
You're making more headway than I am on my 69 mustang... Butttttt you probably should sand blast the car and get ahold of the rust take the carpet and interior out and see if the floor boards are rusted out too

Kinda feel bad for the kid cause if he's gonna upgrade the front brakes from drum to disc, he's gonna have to change the lower control arm and I'm pretty sure the new coil over shocks won't work on the new arm.😥
