He was one on 6 selected for advanced Marine training, sub school, then too Pacific war on bora-bora island!

This might be my arrogance or ignorance showing but I thought that term "Hell Week" was reserved for Special Operation Units; specifically United States Navy SEALs passing a certain segment of training.
some military schools have their version of "Hell Week"....usually in the Spring ...allows cadets to use all they learned in one difficult outside week-long event...The "civilian " version of "Hell Week" is NOT like the REAL "Hell Week" subjected upon SEAL candidates or other military Special Warfare groups...Imagine the uproar of hearing the deaths of COLLEGE ROTC students in a real "Hell Week" situation ??? We would see VMI and Citadel shut down...hahahahahahaha !!! VMI grads DO NOT have to join the military...same with Citadel...
Now some reality. The Arch looks naked without Jackson’s statue there. The superintendent, Peay, lost a lot of credibility by caving to leftist pressure - when he didn’t have to. He could have hung on unitl the Governor’s election. Half those rats won’t last the next 4 years at the Institute. My class graduated half of those who matriculated. It’s a tough school.
