Love this. Never forget that battle or those who were lost. Brave hero’s and some were boys. Braver then a lot of so called men today who hide behind mask.
Moore than 600.000 dead, it is not a sign of courage to run in firewall, old war system with modern gun, a cause without honor, fighting to preserve slavery is not an honor it's a shame. Fight against his Country is treason. On end a war that is not over in the minds of some Americans

@@t41flyer I agree with taking down some statues but that's purely situational. I don't think VMI should because everything they're doing is relating back to VMI. VMI isn't promoting the southern lost cause, they're teaching about how VMI cadets went to war.
What a total crock of 💩! Again the limp wristed left wing morons trying to rewrite history....trying to forget the truth due to there modern concept of political correctness. A word to the wise....when you forget history you are doomed to repeat history.
they should've had some blank artillery rounds shot to make it an even better experience for the heroes. at 8:50 we can see those in the rear who most likely haven't passed their apft yet.
I love this re-enactment, but there is one small problem, the Cadets charging across the field have no bullets, canon balls or anything else coming at them. I totally support the tradition, and love the fact that they remember their Confederate ancestry.
The cadets should take possession of the statue of Stonewall Jackson and return it to its place of honor.
Just showed this video to my four-year-old, and he was very impressed! I hope that he chooses VMI when he grows up, just like I did!!
Thank you!! :)
I'm so sad that I will not be able to partake in this tradition. Sad to see this is going away.

What a magnificent sight. All hats found.
Seeing that wall of white marching in line, a sight to behold.
Say goodbye to one more VMI tradition
You mean, no more charging the hill?
@@t41flyer that's correct. Along with Stonewall Jackson's statue being taken down, they changed the new market charge to the parade grounds.

The proudest day of my life up till that point. I'll never forget that charge. Rah '18
Rah 18' Brother Rat, I too will never forget that charge.
The only class to perform this with fixed bayonets WITHOUT the scabbard on for safety.

They never flew the Confederate flag.
we don't fly that anymore
That is really a very stupid statement .
@@iPepy I believe they advanced under the Virginia and VMI flags.
Screw the Confederate ancestry! The traitors only lasted 5 years... Let's instead celebrate AMERICAN ancestry!
Now they need to charge d.c.
yep just like in the American Civil War
