I was mowing with this and the brake lever return spring broke. When I pull the brake cable it doesn’t engage/disengage the flywheel brake, so I think the cable is shot too. I’m trying to remove the cable from the brake but it’s tight as hell. What am I missing?
Actually, just was trying to fix a mower today with this same issue. Is there a tiny piece of plastic right near the end of the brake cable? The cable has a tiny piece of plastic that you need to pinch to feed that part through to pull back out. I’ll try to post a short asap on this.
