I have the same model! After sitting in my shed for the last 10+ yrs, I decided to see if I could get it running. I dumped the little oil it had out, put fresh, put fresh gas & GENTLY pulled the cord & IT STARTED! Same plug, a decade old & I cut the lawn. Even with the 100% rusty blade it still cut better than my NEW $600 Honda. Great video!
Brilliant stuff Joe Carroll mate awesome job and who.d have thought of it more simpler than you for a simple Flywheel key replacement fix and wheel replacement and blades etc
I had to replace the carburetor on my 194. i found that it was not just the bowl that had been corroded. the idle passage had been corroded and clogged. it would not idle. it only ran on fast. check the in tank filter. :-)
bro my dad found on of these things being thrown out and after sending it in for a service it is just as good at cutting grass as my new $2200 21 inch commercial lawn mowers. I might just fix these things up and run them until they explode, it will be way cheaper and just as good as spending fortunes on new commercial equipment.
Grumpys old faithful was mine at some point another hr194, it had some cracks in the base and wasnt that great until he re ringed the motor and spent some time repairing it, this thing is immaculate for its age.
That came up really well. I prefer the longer videos but I can never hear what your saying when you're standing next to a running engine...I tried it with headphones but all I can hear is engine

I have heard this model is one of the best mowers ever made! Im keeping my eye out for one instead of buying the new junk thats out now
The HR194s are the best mowers ever built. I still operate them for commercial use.
I’m glad it started. I saw the lump hammer next to the mower at around the 40 minute mark, and got a little concerned.

im sorry to keep commenting. I used a pair of spring clip stretchers to remove the jet. its a plastic jet number 65 i think.
