ECHO CS-602VL Bringing it back to its glory days!
WTF
What’s that?
Man I just found one in a mini storage dumpster. Are they all curve shaft? this one is.
I believe the GT 200 R were all curved. There was a same model and engine straight shaft though also. They often have both.
I’m a kid with a lawn mowing business and you just saved my weekend.
Love this so much! Happy to hear that it helped.
Demo not included here.
It’s hard some days to video and provide the tips. I’m just a guy trying to help out others!
Yep I'm starting to think that Echo is more goated than Stihl💪🏼
You’ll find a lot of people are realizing this!!!
How much are those machines
They are about $2200 $CAD right now at least at my dealer.
@@DependableDonsGarage 😬yikes
Not cheap but nothing is these days
I wish they still made those things
I didn’t know that they stopped! That’s crazy
That’s echo is a beast I bought one been very happy with it makes big jobs so easy thank you for the video
No worries! Thanks for the comment
Hi, I'm assuming since it's been a year, you probably sold this. You printed an exploded diagram of the carb, and i assume you discovered the high speed screw? its right beneath the purge bulb. If it wasn't tampered with, its hidden behind a rubber plug. Incase you do have it, you can adjust your high speed there. Also, were your fuel lines backwards? It looks like your black fuel line was connected to your fuel filter. That black line was connected to the left side......if that's correct, the left side is the fuel outlet. The fuel line with the filter is supposed to hook to the right side, which sucks fuel from the tank. I say all this with good intentions. Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe you don't even have it anymore. But I enjoyed your 2 videos on this trimmer that i just completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt. Thank you!
Long gone! I’d have to go back through the videos and check on the points you mentioned as I can’t remember. Some great tips for others though, thanks for watching and for the information!
I missed out?! I mean that was the time I purchased my Husqvarna 350bt backpack blower
You did! How do you like the Husqvarna? I’ve worked on a few units but never used them regularly
They can be tricky to start .I have brand new echo.. I think before anything this must be done in the off position..this video needs a little more details
Tricky to start? Super easy to start. For my trimmer it’s prime, choke on, pull two times, choke off and go!
@@DependableDonsGarage yes before you prime it with fuel.. should it be on off or on position?
Doesn’t matter if it’s on or off before priming it. I typically turn mine on first but it has no impact on the prime.
@@DependableDonsGarage thank you
@@DependableDonsGarage thank you for your videos they are informative
There is 2 adjustments one inside the carb that’s covered and one on top of the carb that’s covered
Thanks for the tip and for watching!
Nice video so weird how it has 2 likes
Thanks!! All good on the likes, I just do it all for fun anyways. Lmao
Where’s the choke on these?
My lawnmower runs very high then randomly shuts off within 5 seconds
Most newer residential mowers have an auto choke system in them. One that you can’t choke to start manually etc.
Sounds like a dirty carb. Probably hard to start I assume? If so, I’d try to clean the carb. Make sure you empty any bad gas out too!
What's the size and length of those cover bolts? If you don't mind me asking
Not sure honest. I’d have to look it up. The toro parts manual doesn’t seem to have it listed and the one is shorter than the rest!
Yeah I took mine off and went to put it back on and they were gone
I’ll try to do some digging tmw and if I can’t find it I’ll pull mine out and measure tomorrow night!
I'm trying to figure out what line everyone is using with the 410x , i picked up that twisted line but in 095 , I'll get a small one but at what size do you think? Has 42.7cc
410x comes with the speed feed 500, specs recommend the .095 Black Diamond
Nice🙌
Nice machine
Agreed! Perfect for the yards I do honestly.
Want to come fix my lawnmower? I’ll pay lol.
Happy to help if you’re in the area! Lol
Really great mowers. I was surprised when I got it running. Parts are not available too much...
That’s the only issue with these old mowers. Some of them will run forever with the odd part but….
I needed this video to impress my boss like I know something about small engines. Thank you
This might be the best comment ever. Lol
Very helpful, thank you very much!
Thanks for the comment!
Your going the wrong way. Supposed to go backwards
I’ve heard it can be used both ways but yes, it sounds like backwards is the most used way!
what kind of Toro mower is that and, where did you get it? We're looking to get a new one.
It’s just the Toro Timemaster 30 inch. I’ve honestly used it commercially for the past 2.5/3 years and been impressed by it. It’s not a commercial mower obviously but if you take care of it, you won’t be disappointed I feel. It’s much lighter then the commercial level 30 so easier to maneuver I feel. I’m an owner operator though, I know it would be harder to keep in good shape with employees though. Lol
@@DependableDonsGarage Yeah we currently have two 21-in Toro commercial mowers with Kawasaki engines, they held up really well but the engines on both of them are done for. We purchased a residential series 22-in Toro recycler and I've used it a few times, it's pretty good. I just don't know how well it will hold up to the abuse this summer compared to the commercial ones.
Where are you located? I’m sure we can find a mower you can test. If you’re used to the commercial 21 you should probably do the commercial 30
@@DependableDonsGarage I'm guessing you're also located in Calgary, personally I'm in the SE but our shop is on 32nd and Edmonton trail NE. I was away from the company for a few months, while I was gone the new owners bought that 22-in Toro recycler residential mower because it's lighter, and the old 21 Commercial units were really old and beat up. It lasted pretty well for them last summer, but I don't know how well it will hold up to repeat it operators now that the company's growing. At any large properties we use our Z-turn Deere, so I don't know how much we would need a 30-in push mower. Tomorrow I'm going to see if the old commercial mowers are salvageable at all, or if they should be sold for parts. If not I think we are in the market for two 21 or 22in push mowers. On top of that, if we keep getting more contracts I think a 30-in mower for the medium size properties would be good. I'm still undecided if we should go with commercial grade. The lightness and ease of use of the residential mowers is a huge bonus if me and the crew can keep them maintained properly.
Keep me posted. I can definitely help Out if needed
What does the limited edition have that the normal one doesn’t? (Just curious)
As far as I remember it’s just the colouring And labels highlighting the 50 years of ECHO!
Its time! Although it might snow again this week :/
Probably will some tmw or Tuesday. We need the moisture either way!
@@DependableDonsGarage Yes the forests and the farmers definitely need the moisture. I would rather it come in the form of rain than sleet, but some is better than nothing.
Get a shindaiwa
Both are made by ECHO. Lol. Can’t even by that brand here.
I do love my shindaiwa m262
Cool!
Hey Don, is my price too high?
I honestly have no idea what the value/price is. If someone is willing to pay it, that’s what it’s worth!
LOL I REALLY WANT IT.. BUT IT IS JUST THE COLOR.
How'd you get one?
I won mine in Echo's oldest equipment post 2 years ago.
Thats nice
Powerful little blower for sure!
I told my boss that I can't go out today and remove snow because I have a family Easter thing. It can really stop anytime now.
Yeah I got out early to try and get done before some stuff I have planned today too. The only downfall to that is I didn’t use my backpack blower. Perfect day for it though
@@DependableDonsGarage Yeah the snow is light, but we have too many properties to get it done on time. Even if we had all 7 guys out with backpack blowers. And, as you know, even though you legally can use the backpack blower at 5:30 a.m, you probably shouldn't. I need to clarify with my boss when our contracts are finished up. Fingers crossed that snow fall next week amounts to nothing.
Doesn’t sound like it will be nothing but hopefully I’m wrong. Lol
where abouts are you? we got snow like that too where I live.
I’m in Calgary! You?
I'm in Ontario @@DependableDonsGarage

@@DependableDonsGarage looking at it again it is an older quantum on first glance it looked much newer. Still a nice grab though
@@iloveap83 no complaints from me, runs like it’s new. Lol. Thanks for watching and for the comments!
What a beast 🔥❤
Can’t wait to get the carb cleaned out and test it out!
Wouldn't work on wet snow
Works better then you think. I’ve been impressed with how much the 9010 can blow. Does come a time though where you do need a snowblower though for sure. Different equipment for different days 😊
I have a Toro 721 also. I replaced the gas and oil with fresh. Started fine with the choke out. When I push the choke in the motor runs SUPER fast and super loud and smokes. Is there a fast idle adjustment somewhere on the carburetor?. Thanks for any advice.
Did it have bad gas in it? Or at least older? I’d recommend cleaning the carburetor still. Sounds like something is clogging a jet causing problems. When you changed the oil, I assume you dumped out the oil? If you didn’t tilt it to the right side oil may have made it to the other side of the engine and it will burn off eventually!
Didn't use it last winter because we got no snow, but I thought that I had dumped or ran all the old gas out, although there could have still been some in the carb I guess? I drained all the oil, before replacing with new 5w-30 synthetic. But it is running super loud and super fast after I push the choke in for normal use. @@DependableDonsGarage
@@randyr.212 I’d pull the carb bowl off at least and see. If it’s the first time running it, make sure you have enough oil in but then let it run for a bit. Clean out any of the oil in the gas and see how it runs after that.
I'll try cleaning the carburetor. Thanks.@@DependableDonsGarage
Ok, will do...thanks Don.@@DependableDonsGarage
The city is responsible for the streets as well as the sidewalks!!! THEY hold and maintain an easement upon and across everyone's property, if they refuse to maintain it not only can they be sued but it also negates the easement. When the cement cracks and causes a tripping hazzard or there are potholes in the sidewalk, they are responsible & typically fix/repair them. Likewise, if they do not maintain a street and an accident is caused due to neglect, they can be sued for that as well. Property owners are already burdened with undue amount of bullshit "taxes" & fees so cities can line their coffers. Property owners need to take back their rights and start suing the fk out of the corrupt cities.
Ok whoa. Lol. When someone buys a house they know what’s expected of them. Lol. I could talk on the rest but this is a RUclips short and for entertainment. Hope your Monday is better then your Sunday!.
Was that a special screwdriver for removing the jet or homemade?
Typically need a thin flat screwdriver
The sidewalk belongs to the city, they should clean it ...
It’s your responsibility as the homeowner. Check the bylaws in your area to be sure!!
Good job man
Smoke em if you got em.
To much noise. So lol
They aren’t quiet but they are effective!
I have one!
I won one of these too. Haven't fired it up. For Sale for the right money!
It’s sat in my garage since then!
Seriously! HOW MUCH YOU WANT FOR IT?
$500 plus shipping.
😂😂😂
is it noisy? leaf blowers should be banned because of the noise, is this the same?
It is a leaf blower. Leaf blowers have their place if used correctly. Prices of lawn care and snow removal will go up substantially I’d banned. I know here where I live 90% of companies use them for snow removal
@@DependableDonsGarage Thanks for answering Best Wishes
Just do not use it for chipping,
Curious on what you mean? I rarely if ever chip ice. If it’s that icy I use a product or preemptively handle problem areas so that chipping isn’t necessary
@@DependableDonsGarage sorry i send you a link and it dispersed.
@@ShepherdProSacapes all good. I stay away from chipping ice. I don’t take on that kind of risk because I don’t want the liability

@@DependableDonsGarage nice, have you used it in the snow yet?
Yes sir! My most recent shorts would all be using it! Take a look, the power difference is unbelievable. Obviously not comparable to the BR600 head to head though but I am very impressed.
