Honest video, made in real time learning as you go. I like it. I just bought my first 440 saw, it was used and suppose to be refurbished but haven’t been able to run it yet.
Those choke/kill combo switches take getting used to. But once ya do they're freaking awesome. Pull out/ push up to choke push to neutral for run and push down to kill. Don't have to touch it again to start, just to kill.
@@DependableDonsGarage don't understand why they don't use it in more. Seems to be just the ranchers. Took me 5-6 uses to break old habits when I got my 450.
Same thing happened to me with the choke. Brand new saw . I saw this .lift out the chhoke. Work like a dream Thank you . P.S. I have 16in. Husqvarna and it don't have pullout on the choke
@@DependableDonsGarage I've got 3 different Husqvarna saws and my 440 has the same choke as yours, personally I think it's a rinky dink design on their engineers part.
you realy dont know nothing bout huqvarna chain saws it tells u on the saw body how to start the thing thats wat you get when u dont read the owners manual
Lol! Haven’t used too many you are right. It’s more fun to not study the manual and learn yourself. Learn a ton more about the equipment that way in my opinion. Thanks for watching

Thanks so much! Let me know if I can help send any ideas or anything on your saw! I’m no expert as you know but…
I proudly own one, not used in 2 years, always used pre mixed fuel, I pulled the cord yesterday and started right up, it`s refuse to die! 🙂
Love that!!! Glad you know how to use the choke. 😂😂

Yeah it was new to me for sure but a cool feature.

I have over 20 saws, my Husky 445 gets the most use. Easily started, instant throttle response, really reliable
I was pretty impressed by it!
You have a decompressor on the top of the saw for easy start.
I don’t think after sitting for that long the valve would help in this case. Lol.
It’s a brand new saw put fuel and bar oil in it and it will start.
Lol. Needed a bit more but… 😂😂😂
Pull the red button out and up
Yes sir!!! Works well once you learn that 😂😂

Seems a bit strange to “re-create” how a choke typically works. Wonder what the reasoning is for those models.
