I guess the Lord had a plan for you even though you didn't even know it at the time. He was walking with you all the time. 😊

So heart breaking ,it's almost like you were orphaned. Forced to leave because of rules. I hope someday they can have their eyes opened. Thank goodness for your wife and family. Did you ever think you would be where you are today. Preaching to thousands in your truck. Thank you Eli for teaching and preaching . I look forward to every sermon.

I feel yah man. I left my homestate. Left ALL my family. Everything I've ever know for the unknown. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. The best thing I've ever done. For myself, for my now children (had 1 at the time). Now we have everything i dreamed of and honestly more. I couldn't be prouder of myself. What i left behind, was a past of secrecy & hurt scared little girl. Now im the women ive always wanted to be (still wirking on her). But my children are safe ❤ and happy.

I can only imagine Eli. A very difficult decision to make. We know that only Jesus saves. Only Jesus can fix it. He understands. God bless you and your loved ones.🙏💕

To leave behind what we are used to; what we know, and step into the unknown - holding God's Hand, is very difficult!
Congratulations on keeping your word to God (if not then, eventually) rather than staying in the "lesser" of your old life.

God doesn't care where you pray, or what group you belong to, it's the intent in your heart that matters.

Please announce your the next time you'll be publicly sharing the word I would love to shake a Yoder's hand I grew up and Knox county Ohio and seen a lot of Amish from Fredericktown and Danville, Ohio and the ones I met are seemed a little "stand offish" even when holding the door for them when entering the gas station.

You knew you were going to proceed and even though you knew you must, the pain of leaving loved ones and familiar routines was heavy. The Amish in equate leaving with spiritual death, but it’s quite the opposite. God bless you and heal your pain.

That took a lot of courage to leave your home and family at such a young age; going into an unknown future. Persevering through a lot of hard times...
"The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you."

    Mark 10:29-31
[29] Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, [30] who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. [31] But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
I think you are an example of these verses, Eli. Although your leaving cost you dearly, your testimony is helping many to see the light. Your courage is leading others to freedom! God bless you!!

No, those type of animals were not a normal animal the Amish used so therefore they stayed away from them

The Amish didn't get everything wrong. Self sufficiently is great, Jesus taught it when he taught a man to fish. They did get some wrong putting tradition and a few other things above the Lord...

Go to most other countries and either you'll meet a lot of people that make homemade food, or you can go restaurants and get homemade food, or very close to it. This pre-fried stuff like Applebees that they just put in the microwave is a very American thing
