Main difference is that PSG will go all out, unlike Madrid who are more methodical with their approach, there’s no point bidding against PSG. I think in the grand scheme of things Amrabat + Ugarte serves our overall squad better.
About the midfielder thing, Id go for Ugarte straightaway, avoid wasting time over Neves and other signings. He's a good player and exactly wat we need. We can get another midfielder in January or next summer. But we need a "ready to go" asap.

One thing I'm happy about is that we having generational talents in the midfield (Mainoo) wing(Garnacho) defense(Yoro) and am also confident that Hojlund will be come a generational talent in a year or two. The future is certainly bright!

Just had to look up Joao Neves on RUclips. Did not know much about him. But, OMG!!! He is so good. Almost looks like he is playing against u16 teams. He was tearing them apart. Only thing is that his possition Will inflict against Mainoos or Brunos poss. But again, what skillset He posesses. Fanntastic player.
Mark missed what he’s been saying all offseason. PSG well get Neves at that price below the release clause because they will pay it in full up front whereas we would need to spread the cost over years to even have a chance. It makes more sense to get Ugarte and then move some players out.
What we need is a metronome midfielder good at controlling the tempo of matches, and, in my opinion, the best place to find such players are Spain, I watched jao neves at the euro and I wasn't impressed, I rather we go for zubimendi or even an ugarte

Joao neves, I think has a higher ceiling, competing in a more competitive league and Bruno rates him highly, but because of the price, I would say fill every other position and then go all in.

Ugarte is more of a ball winner/hard tackler while Zubimendi is more of a conductor. He's not as good at it but he's in the mould of a Rodri and Busquets so it depends on what holding midfielder profile you ten Hag wants.

One big drawback to neves is his physicality at about 5 fr 8. Playing with Martinez at centre backs has so many positives but one weakness is you lose a player in the team who can dominate aerially.
Rasmus and yoro provide that physical presence but we also need a player in midfield who can add some physicality to the spine of the team.
Mainoo and Bruno don't offer that at all.
We need to sign ugarte he is the right profile for our club and most importantly for kobbie mainoo . You have to understand the dynamics and balance of it all . And him coming will allow yorro to ease in . And we can get an ultra attacking full back on one side hopefully frimpong .

Zubimendi would be the better option, Ugarte really has not proven anything in the last year at PSG, in addition, i think Neves is too young to hold the midfield together. Joao neves reminds me of ander herrera. Neves is better than ugarte with the good range price. While ugarte price at €62m, Man United could beat PSG for neves with €75m-€80m bid
United registered their interest with an opening bid. You’d hope they are being kept in the loop regarding other interest ie psg. It makes sense that both Benfica and United would play it that way. Since our opening offer, we’ve had a bit more time to sort some ins and outs. Hopefully now we are in a position to match psg. Fingers crossed we haven’t delayed so long that neves has been fully wooed by psg.

Get Rabiot to replace Amrabat. His wages are roughly equal to Amrabat’s transfer fee + wage package, so it wouldn’t be a bad move financially. Then get Ugarte/Zubimendi/Neves (unlikely) to replace Casemiro. We’d have Ugarte/Collyer, Mainoo/Rabiot, and Bruno/Mount. That sounds a lot better to me than any midfield 6 with Amrabat in it.

I don’t really get why you keep bringing up Amad wanting to leave. It’s come out numerous times that we see him as a key player and are negotiating a new contract. Pellistri, Mejbri, and Kambwala are all in a very different position than him.
