That hook, ouch!! I had a buddy threw a jig (2 sets of assist hooks on it) with his hand and unfortunately hooked himself, went straight from the boat to the hospital...fishing is dangerous business

Well Andy. Stingrays have no teeth, but rather rasping plates. So you can put your hand/fingers in it mouth and pull it up the beach to a safer place to remove the hooks. And so you know a stingrays barb on his tail will never reach his head(otherwise he would be able to stab himself to death), so as long as you stay at the front your safe. Then to remove the hook all you have to do is grab his by the snout and slightly raise him off the sand to reach his mouth. Remove the hooks and grab him back in his mouth and return him to the water.
