Just returned from Orlando this afternoon. This is the greatest ride in the history of rides. Waited 90 minutes to ride when park first opened. Went back at 6 and only waited 10 minutes so i rode it twice back to back. Im not a huge potter fan but Loved this ride. It is far more than a simulator as 4 person bench you sit on moves independently and goes from room to room where you are immersed into different objects being right in your face, also movie screen at times. A must do.
This ride was amazing! The thing I love most about this ride is even tho it was 3D they made it SO realistic! I really thought that the dragon was going to kill me! Lol! This ride was by far the best ride ever! Other than jaws :D
I rode this ride the other day and Im still blown away at how INCREDIBLE this ride is. It looks so real and its so detail Im still in shock over the demon scene. This ride is definitely the future of all rides!!
This was by far the best ride ive ever been on for the sheer entertainment of it. I cant wait to see more ridea like this come along. Hopefully we will see this type of ride in Australia soon!!!
This ride was totally awesome!!! Being a huge Harry Potter fan it felt like I was actually interacting with the characters. Being my first ride and experience at Universal it was really enjoyable!
We're getting this ride in Hollywood and I've already gone on this one and Flight Of The Hippogriff because of the soft opening and technical rehearsal it's such a awesome ride
I don't think there is a camera magical enough to capture the experience of this ride. You are left speechless after this ride. You just have to be there.
@Lucamati64 the Harry potter area is Inside islands of adventures, between the jurrasic park section and the lost continent. No separate ticket needed to be purchased.
This is the best ride I've ever been on! It's definitely worth the wait time! I was just there 2 weeks ago and I'm already planning a trip to go back in May! I highly recommend going!
This is such a great ride! An awesome mix of digital effects AND actual props that you almost run into. Waiting in line can be long, but you get to basically tour the whole castle and go to all the rooms from the movie. The ride is sort of like a roller coaster, but not as fast, with much more movement. Alot of people get sick but just close your eyes. I had to during the Quidditch part bc I was gonna hurl lol. The whole locker system to put your stuff up is horrible though and very crowded.
I could ride this all day!!! Absolutely fantastic. I think I'm boring my friends talking about it all the time even though its been almost a year since I was on it! Desperate to get back!!! Love love love it :D
@sunderlandgrl you'll see the same thing. the single line ride will reconnect to the other ride. i think it has 4 0r 5 seats attached together so whenever the seats are not filled up a single rider will be given it. so your going on the ride at the same place
This ride was "Bloody Brilliant!!!" Worth the hour plus wait. It was authentic and the props...OMG- you get so CLOSE!!! Silly me had to squint my eyes when Aragog and Dragon were IN YOUR FACE!!! Lol- so well done! A MUST for even the mildest potter fan. This muggle can't wait to go back again! The walk through in the castle before the ride had tons of cool models....best part was the walls of paintings "talking" to each other :) The butterbeer was dreamy and you must do the WAND EXPERIENCE too!
Best ride I've ever been on. Waited four and half hours for it (happened to be there on the busiest day in history). I'm a huge potterhead, and I literally cried while on it. It was like all my dreams came true.
No. According to a few recent LA news reports USH is planning on expanding the park and adding a Harry Potter attraction, along with at least 2 other new ones in the near future pending some type of approval. I don't remember what type of approval. I think it might be either approval from the city of LA or LA county, or even both. The entire Universal properties (theme park, CityWalk, hotel, corporate offices, etc.) lies within both the city of LA (30%) and unincorporated LA County (70%) land.
This ride was the BEST RIDE I have ever ridden in my whole life!! Seriously, to be able to similarly witness the adventures of being there after following along with the books and movies as a child, it's like a dream come true~ ^^
this was the most amazing experience of my life. it may sound cheesey to you, but it definatly was incredible. if you're as big of a fan of harry potter as i am, you would understand. it's like actually being there in a world much more amazing than our own. it's like the books have come to life, an everything you've always wanted to be real finally is real. it was truly fantastic. i want more than anything to go back.
This actually was, as many people are saying on here, the best ride I''ve ever been on. Legitimately scary, amazing effects, and just loads and loads of fun. You can always count on Universal to give you something to geek about.
That ride is awsome, when i went to Florida last year it was officially open but between certain times test rides were running so i managed to get on it. it was well worth the hour and half wait :-)
this ride was absolutely incredible. i literally cried when i got off because i was scared and mostly because of its perfection. unfortunately, i hadnt seen much of the movies but i thought it was flawless anyway.
Oh my word I went to the Disney parks and Universal and this was BY FAR the most amazing ride I went on. The line is super long, but completely worth it. It doesnt even matter if youre scared because you wont regret riding this!
@joshua4897 both. it moves through different rooms and has some images on screens, but also some things are actually there in front of you. it's hard to tell in this video - the camera doesn't pick up much and you're really only seeing like 1/10th of what's going on.
this ride is very popular so expect to be waiting in line for a little while, but the line-up actually brings you on a little tour of the castle with stuff to keep you entertained.
Thank you SO MUCH for uploading this! When me and my mom went to Islands Of Adventure on our Florida trip, we couldn't ride this because the wait was long and I wasn't feeling well (I was coming down with a sore throat).
This POV doesn't even begin to cover how awesome this ride is! (I know it's not their fault) but all the elements of this ride make it feel like you are really there! You have to ride this!!!!
This ride is fantastic!!!! You can really melt into the Harry potter world!!!! The simulator and all the elements are great!!!! Full of thrills!!!!! You won't forget!!!!!
Why are people comparing this to the Back to the Future ride? BTTF was a simulator that stayed in one spot and moved a little. This ride is on a big arm type ride with you on the ride and actually moves through different rooms in the ride. There are screened parts and actual sets you move through.
as a Floridian, I'll tell you: GO DURING THE OFF SEASON. I went in November and the wait was maybe 5 minutes. this is an awesome ride.. I was smiling from ear to ear.. you really feel like you're flying at times.
It switches from a screen to actual figures. It is constantly moving sideways it isn't stationary like soarin'. I would say it is a soarin', star tours, and peter pan built into one.
This is the best ride I've ever been on. It makes everyone feel like their actually in the world o Harry potter and it seems so real, it makes me tear up.
This is by far the best ride I have ever been on and you can't see it very well but it is extremely realistic. The dragon breathes real fire, and you can't see it but theres an actualy dimentor that comes at you its not an illusion its a figure. The feeling while your on it is indescribable. It was great, and if you ever visit the park, don't even think to hesitate to get on the ride.
never was a harry potter fan but i will say this ride was amazing! i would want to know how that track looked and how big the ride was from set to screen to set. just amazing
@gleek1fan make sure to do the new rockit coaster at universal. I went on it yesterday and it was awesome! And a word of advice, When I went the entire harry potter section of the park was filled to capacity by 9:30 am and they were only letting people in in small chunks at a time. So get there early and expect long lines for harry potter.
i remember riding this ride 5 times. i loved it. it was the best ride in the history of rides. now they need to make the ride inside of grinotts...with the dragon and have it play the bell sound to keep it calm. i seriosly started crying alittle when i started watching this video since the ride brought me so many memories
This ride itself is worth the 100 dollars! I freaked out....the best day of my life! I wanted to ride it over and over! I love fast roller coasters and upside down roller coasters, but this was hands down the best ride I've ever been on. I don't even know how to describe it!
this ride is one of a kind... I am a harry potter fan & my husband is not but even he had an awesum time.. it feel sooo real.... like seriously real.. the flying.. the dragon.. all of it.. hats off 2 the ride
i truly love this ride, went on it three times when I was at universal :) this video doesn't show half what its like though, to get the full impact you have to ride it!
Can you film this again? The ride? There's been some changes in the dementor scene and the opening and ending scenes of the ride have completely changed. Now you're just flying through green waves instead of going through chimneys. (or whatever the brick path is)
@kerryhotdog999 you won't regret it! closest you'll ever get to actually being a wizard haha! it doesn't have drops like most extreme roller coasters, just moves you sideways, back and forward a little. but all very smoothly. it looks dark in this video, but really you're only seeing 1/10th of what's going on because the camera doesn't pick up much. the ride moves through different rooms and you can see what's going on the whole time.
@decraziness It's just four seats. I know it's the same thing, I'm talking about the actually queue for the ride. As a mega Harry Potter fan, I thoroughly enjoy walking through the castle in the queue because there's so much to look at and I was wondering if the single riders queue saw the same thing because you don't normally see anyone from the single riders queue until near the end.
awesome ride didn't think I would like it because I am not not really in to harry potter but as soon as I got on it I loved it and lined up 3 more times!
I love Universal and I.O.A! I was born in Orlando, only took about 10 minutes to get there from my grandma's house! BTW, This ride was awesome! and the park is still a little bit crowded so I suggest riding this in the afternoon.
@Kanjanapisan yeah init- apparently they are going to add on to the park with other attractions and shops including when they and griphook go into gringots on that ride-like thing.. i think that will be so cool lol :P x
This was incredible!!!! just did it yesterday....me and my parents got early admission to the park and the wait wasn't even 15 minutes, at the least....I was sooo happy and was actually mistaken for an employee at some points because i was the only one in the park in costume lol one of the best rides i've ever been on :)))))
@devolition5456 i am not coasterforce but i know the forbidden journey is kinda close to it. But they both have extremely long lines so it would be only like 80 feet away from where the lines started
It feels completely different when you are on the ride. Truly fanominal ride and worth the line wait
Just returned from Orlando this afternoon. This is the greatest ride in the history of rides. Waited 90 minutes to ride when park first opened. Was I the only who was holding on to the handle as tight as possible on this ride?
I was espicially at the spider part...
J'von Lee OMG YES.
Lol
***** right? I thought i was gonna fall off the freaking ride lol
***** oh my gosh lol. I feel sorry for you.
One of the best themed rides i've ever been on in my life. if there's a really long wait hold through, it's really worth it!!
This ride is actually really intense
Im going for the third time this August and I'm so stoked! I'm dressing up and staying in a hotel and everything :D
This ride was amazing! The thing I love most about this ride is even tho it was 3D they made it SO realistic! I really thought that the dragon was going to kill me! Lol! This ride was by far the best ride ever! Other than jaws :D
My little brother was so scared of the spiders he screamed “WE’RE GONNA DIE!” 😂
I'm goin to Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure next week and can't wait to go on the Harry Potter rides, they look like so much fun!
What I like most about the Universal and Disney parks, is that they're all so elaborate. They really go the extra mile.
The video really does the ride no justice. It's so amazing.
This ride was totally awesome!!! Being a huge Harry Potter fan it felt like I was actually interacting with the characters. Being my first ride and experience at Universal it was really enjoyable!
Really love that ride, looking forward to go again...Everything is amazing the school, the village the food well everything
I went to Islands of Adventure last summer, This ride was badass. One of the best simulation rides I've ever been on
We're getting this ride in Hollywood and I've already gone on this one and Flight Of The Hippogriff because of the soft opening and technical rehearsal it's such a awesome ride
I don't think there is a camera magical enough to capture the experience of this ride. You are left speechless after this ride. You just have to be there.
I just got back from Universal on Monday. I rode this twice. Best ride I've been on in my life! There's nothing like it :)
@Lucamati64 the Harry potter area is Inside islands of adventures, between the jurrasic park section and the lost continent. No separate ticket needed to be purchased.
I'm so taking my friends up in Canada to this place; It's so awesome, and I miss it so much!
This ride has a couple fast dips and turns but no loops or upside downs. The visuals are amazing for sure!
I LOVE this ride. Rode on it twice. Definitely worth waiting for
I cannot even begin to count the number of rides and roller coasters that I have been on. This is the best... The technology is amazing.
This is the best ride I've ever been on! It's definitely worth the wait time! I was just there 2 weeks ago and I'm already planning a trip to go back in May! I highly recommend going!
This was my all time favorite ride at Universal, I ran to it at the last minute all the way from the other park! IT'S WORTH IT!
by far the best harry potter ride video yet! i love it!
That ride was so fun

This is the type of ride that you go on once or maybe twice and then you're done with it for good. I miss the old Universal.
There is no word to describe how awesome this ride is.
this was the most amazing experience of my life. it may sound cheesey to you, but it definatly was incredible. if you're as big of a fan of harry potter as i am, you would understand. it's like actually being there in a world much more amazing than our own. it's like the books have come to life, an everything you've always wanted to be real finally is real. it was truly fantastic. i want more than anything to go back.
I rode this on July 2nd. This is now my favorite all-time ride. Amazing!
i love this ride! i like when u getting on the ride and its like a moving walk way also when u see the charcters in line and ron makes it "snow"
I'm going to Florida next Saturday, can't wait to go on this ride :D
This actually was, as many people are saying on here, the best ride I''ve ever been on. Legitimately scary, amazing effects, and just loads and loads of fun. You can always count on Universal to give you something to geek about.

This ride was amazing just went on it last week loved it
None of the POV's do this ride justice....this is easily the best ride in the entire world.
That ride was not just amazing... It was awesome! Universal Studios is filled with fun rollercoasters!
Although I had my eyes shut and i was crying for the whole ride, I loved it :)
This is by far the best ride I have ever been on and you can't see it very well but it is extremely realistic. one of the best theme park attractions I have EVER experienced, on another level!
never was a harry potter fan but i will say this ride was amazing! i would want to know how that track looked and how big the ride was from set to screen to set. just amazing
Going to Universal Studios, but not getting a hotel, going to a relatives timeshare, but anyway I'm so excited!! Probably not for a year though
Omg, I went there last summer, and I cried when I was this ride. Im a huge harry potter fan, and this was soo beautiful!

this was one awesome ride, too bad didn't have the time to go on it a second time!!
i waited 70 mins for this ride its long yes but its worth the wait plus theres lots to look at while your waiting!
rode this one and had my eyes open the entire time.. its one of the best! feels like im really w/ them!!
this ride is one of a kind... I am a harry potter fan & my husband is not but even he had an awesum time.. it feel sooo real.... like seriously real.. the flying.. the dragon.. all of it.. hats off 2 the ride
is this a rollercoaster or one of those rides where the seats move? like the FX theatre with 3D sponge bob at Canada's Wonderland?
I went on this ride last year and LOVED IT! Me and my sister almost screamed when we saw the spiders and dementors.
The tears of massive joy are streaming down my face!
i truly love this ride, went on it three times when I was at universal :)
this video doesn't show half what its like though, to get the full impact you have to ride it!

this really was the most AMAZING ride i have ever been on in my life time!
I LOVE THIS RIDE I RODE IT 10 TIMES STRAIGHT AND NEVER STOPPED CRYING EVEN GOING THROUGH THE CASTLE!

I can't believe you filmed this... amazing work!!!
awesome ride didn't think I would like it because I am not not really in to harry potter but as soon as I got on it I loved it and lined up 3 more times!
i miss islands of adventures and this and universal studios so much
i'm going to cry
I'm going here in like 3 days and I'm most excited about this ride and the dueling dragons one :)
I love Universal and I.O.A! I was born in Orlando, only took about 10 minutes to get there from my grandma's house! BTW, This ride was awesome! and the park is still a little bit crowded so I suggest riding this in the afternoon.

@MegaSkybieber Hope you don't have too many people there on the days you go. When I went, the lines were crazy long :(
loved it! i went a few week ago! i went on it 3 times in a row cause the wait for single person was only 15 minutes!
This is a ride you really have to experience. No matter how long the wait is, RIDE IT. It is the BEST ride.
This was such a fun ride. Even the line was fun. It doesn't go upside down.
This was the most remarkable ride I've ever been on.
so is the whole ride is like watching a movie, you're not moving but the depth in the screen makes you feel like you're moving?
@thespy672 You tilt sometimes but its not like other rides when u tilt back and stay back. you go side to side up down all around you know?
@ClaireGlee you seem like you're going upside down but I'm not sure. it is a very fun ride.
