If anyone is watching to find out if it’s a ride they can handle: I hate drops (can’t do hulk or river adventure or mummy or velocicoaster) but loved this ride. I watched this before going on the ride and was nervous because it looked like there is a big drop at 1:54 but was so relieved to find out it’s not a real drop! Just a screen. At the very beginning, there’s a small drop that I would equate to Flight of the Hippogriff as far as intensity but a little scarier ‘cause it’s in the dark and it’s all of a sudden (fairly easy and actually fun!). I was scared when the track tilted forward because I thought it was gonna b a big drop but it wasn’t! You’ll love this ride. I jumped right back on for another go. Hope this helps someone!
@@imyself4874 If it helps to know that usually all 3D/AR rides like these never have a big drop. The screen animates it like so but the drop is pretty little, your mind just thinks it is big. I wouldn’t worry

I don't think any ride will ever top the moment I saw Harry and the Dragon fighting Voldemort. I know it's not even in the books but DAMM, it would have been so awesome to see that in the movie. I get chills everytime I see it!
That's one of those little things that frustrates me about HP; there are no genuinely friendly dragons! I wish Rowling had at least created a talent for her characters to communicate with them...
I can not do rollercoasters at all! I flip out on just about everything I get on. I was not going to get on this ride but at the last min decided to just get on cause I love everything Harry Potter so much. I’m so glad I did because I would have missed out on such an awesome experience. The drop in the beginning was not a big deal at all. If you love Harry Potter don’t miss out on this ride cause of the small drop. Totally worth the 1 or 2 seconds of discomfort that’s at the beginning of the ride.

Small tip, if you hate drops, please request a seat in the front car. You don't/barely feel the drop in the front car. If you're in the back car, you will probably not want to ride this again. The drop height in the front vs the back is noticeable! Still, for anyone afraid, this ride isn't that intense and doesn't do much and the first drop doesn't give you that "OMG" feeling. If you have motion sickness but would like to ride, please request a seat in the 2nd or 5th row. Sitting in the middle seats will reduce spinning and other forces and is noticeably less spin!
@@hushbolman It’s seriously nothing, trust me. The height of the biggest drop is less than trollercoaster’s height. Front just makes it even less high. Once you do it once you won’t feel it. I’m used to it but I made this post for people who aren’t
Actually, I'm a college student and I study physics and engineering. All seats in roller coasters have equal momentum and you get the same POV from all seats except you get a better view in the front of course.

With the momentum on rides like iron gwazi the back has more pull due to the front cars clearing the element or going down a drop. there are also specific forces to each seat such as the middle row being better for motion sickness or the back outer seats giving the most spinning.
I just rode this yesterday. When you are on the ride, it feels like you are in VR. The drops are hard an intense because it's basically a roller-coaster. Also, they break the 4th wall with subtle effects of touch. For instance, the dragon has its fire turned to water and you get spritzed at just that moment. Or you feel the heat from Voldemorts spell.
oh god lol I finally went on that the other day with a friend. she was right, the queue and the pre-show are just as good as ride, maybe better lmao. WHY is it still there?
The funny part, when I went on this ride, was we didn't even know it was a ride.. this was my first ever roller coaster, we found out when we saw the sign, "do not ride if you have...". That track shift on the ride felt so real, we all felt like we were falling, the dragon spit and fire was amazing. I'm so glad they added those effects. Only thing I advise knowing, is the line is soo long in Orlando.

1:33 I will never forget that part- when I went in May of last year, I noticed something wrong and bam, the whole ride stopped. We were stuck for about 4 minutes. Someone booed

Ye I get what you mean but I'm TERRIFIED of rollercoasters (not so much of these virtual ones idk why) and this was my dads favourite ride so we went on it alot so the anticipation of the drop was really scary but also I kept on thinking I was gonna die on the drop/mega fast bit which I get is like the point of roller coasters but it was terrifying (the other fast bits and smaller big drops were really fun) so ye also sorry if this didn't make sense im dislexsic
Damnit now I’m crying. It’s my dream to ride this someday but I know I likely never will. The soundtrack and entire experience is just beautiful. These movies got me through a really dark time and hold a special place in my heart.
Its a great ride. Infortunately I've gotten stuck twice. It wasn't a horrible experience because I did get cool footage of the evacuation for my channel and I put it in one of my universal vlogs. And I also got free express passes but it was a little annoying.
My mom warned me abt the drop and i was extremely scared but it was also really fun lol I loved the ride because its the closest thing to the real wizarding world
I went to Universal Studios Orlando for the first time a couple months ago and it was absolutely amazing!! This was my favorite ride!! I wanted to find a video of it to experience it to some extent again and it’s just what I hoped for! (The video made me cry tho cause I miss it so much 🥺) No video could do the thrill of this ride justice though. The 3d was amazing, you could feel the heat from the fire and the water, the downward drop in the beginning was incredible, and it was themed so perfectly. I hope to experience it again someday!!
AK Photo I absolutely hate roller coasters but the only part I didn’t like about this one was the drop in the beginning, afterwards it’s really fun and it’s not even like you’re on a roller coaster so if you can handle one drop then you’ll be fine
AK Photo the hogwarts castle looks really intimidating when you first get on but the ride is very immersive and actually seems like you’re riding on a broomstick, the worst part of that one is that at times it will slow down while you’re on your back. I really hate roller coasters and I’m deathly afraid to go on then but this I went on this one multiple times and it just got better each time (hope this helped)

These are the type of rides that screens work on. Unlike Fast and Furious.

Not worth it, you wait 1 and a half hour for a not very good ride
@@tragic5894 yeah it’s better if it’s like a 50 min wait. If you’re going early it has to be the first thing you ride so you can get to experience it but not have to wait that long

personally it didn’t feel as big as it seems but my glasses did fall off 😭 but i don’t remember it being as huge as others like jurassic park
There rlly isn’t a drop at that part it’s just a acceleration and you go up a little hill back to the station it’s it bad
