But first I'll start work on a new Multiplayer map since the only ones available right now are Danger Canyon and Chasm 34 and I don't want to keep Multiplayer hanging with just 2 maps haha
@@sethaaron95 She might want to so something small before entering AOTCR so she gets familiar with the Forerunner assets well enough Silent Cartographer would be a good one to choose. Since AOTCR is very repetitive layout is the reason. But if she did AOTCR first, she could also do Two Betrayals alongside this as well for development reasons, which is another reason to do this (like T & R/Keyes)! Silent Cartographer on the other hand (same with Halo) are only used once in the original CE campaign.
@@Finger112 Plus, TSC was quite important as a test level for Bungie. In that way it kind of makes sense for her to test out creating Forerunner architecture starting with the TSC.
This type of graphical lighting and telemetry was not capable in 2011-2012 when they did the Anniversary edition. I am definitely looking forward to playing back through one of the greatest games of all-time when this comes out.
I don't care if it takes 5 years. The entire campaign will be worth the wait. I Especially love how you're focusing on Truth & Reconciliation & Keys at this point in time, as doing 2 missions set in the same location makes things less time consuming on your end.

Yeah lol I find it a bit annoying myself but I had to this time, the old version was pretty bad and I couldn't just drag and drop the tags from Halo 3 into the ODST mod tools
the lighting and environment at 1:10 is beautiful. I love how in the original halo ce covenant architecture is very dark with its purples and blues and I felt like the anniversary edition really ruined that look by adding to much lighting and making worse textures, but this looks incredible. Exactly how I'd expect the remaster to look
STUNNING WORK. the art style of halo 3/odst is in my opinion the best and most suitable for every halo, you should do a total conversion, in this style also for halo 4.

I just played through Keyes. This was genuinely one of the best experiences I had with a Halo 3 mod. It feels so authentic and you made the Halo 3 assets perfectly emulate the feeling I had in combat evolved. And I just want to also say I am so glad you REMOVED the dialogue from the Flood. Hearing the Flood in Halo 3 speak was honestly immersion breaking
It's hilarious but heart warming to see a lone Halo fan run laps around 343. Love this, subscribed and will check out the pre-release on the workshop :)
Literally only gripe I could even remotely think of is the top of the hud being completely flat instead of looking like Halo 3’s, but even that feels like a tiny nitpick. This is phenomenal work, far beyond anything CE:A had to offer.
The map lighting looks amazing, chief model incredible as well As for the interior with the fog and flood biomass, I'm glad you could add those to give the impression of the ship actually being overrun by the flood. As much as I am impressed I think the ship interior has too much light? Maybe you could add less lights in there to increase the spooky atmosphere and have the player rely more on their flashlight/visor.
I shared your video and your mod and credited on a few of my pages online. And I linked both this video and your mod on my pages as well in my posts. I downloaded the mod and started playing this version I played the previous one too.
Just got back from playing the Mod. And Honestly, It was very fun. *BUGS:* Not sure if these count as bugs but In the opening cutscene, the camera passes through some parts of the Geometry. And at the end of the level, when our Banshee moves to the right, it collides into the edge of the ship. You mentioned on the steam page that the VISR mode isn't finalised. Well it seems to work very well for me during my playthrough. *MY EXPERIENCE:* I honestly love how the sandbox is utilised, Making the Active Camo & Overshield set to our power up button instead of being activated upon touch allows us to play more strategically instead of just Gunning it. I love how the sniper is easier to use as killing flood in the original was almost impossible with it. Here, I'm more easily able to aim for the infection forms in the combat forms' bodies which is a nice touch. I like how the Shotgun is also no longer a "Get-out-of-jail-free" card when it comes to killing infected Elites, as their shields are rather wonky which makes shots feel like a 50% Hit-or-miss. Contrast this to normal elites who are more susceptible. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the Shotgun itself, or if it's just a weird quirk of Halo 3's AI damage tables. Regardless, The shotgun is about 70% as useful as it was in OG Halo 1, which is a move I feel is good as this forces the player to think about using other weapons. When facing hordes of infected elites with the shotgun, I felt as if I was almost always on the back-foot, and ran out of ammo if I wasn't shooting the shotgun conservatively as the infected elites were rushing me. This also prompted me to use my grenades a lot more if I couldn't deal with the horde of infected Elites, so I couldn't just save the grenades for large hoards in other areas I would normally use them in. This amplifies the sense of fear I felt as the flood are supposed to be scary. Which is very good in terms of atmosphere. Sadly, I didn't use the needler or AR, so I have no comments on them. *CONCLUSION:* This mod looks pretty much finished to me. Aside from a couple of bugs you mentioned on the steam page, I'd say it's VERY well done. I give it a Solid 10/10. Once you feel you're done with "The Truth & Reconciliation" & "Keys" what missions do you plan on remaking next? Do you plan on adding more H3 weapons like the Carbine? I wonder how the Library will play with how your version of the shotgun works against infected elites, it would make the level a lot more terrifying, which I cannot wait to see, as Pistol/Shotgun will no longer be the default choices for most players.
Yeah those floodcombat elites are a real pain in the ass lol, I honestly don't know why they tank so much shots sometimes. All of the Halo 3 weapons are available to use in Multiplayer through the custom games settings and the forge palette and in Firefight the enemies will also carry them, for campaign I have plans to have a hub world that's set in Alpha Base where you'll be able to select your loadouts and stuff for the next mission which is how you'll be able to select Halo 3 weapons. As for the next mission, either Halo or The Silent Cartographer and for Multiplayer I haven't decided yet but I did start working on a remake of Death Island (twitter.com/Kashiiera/status/1687231056024424448)

Truth & Reconciliation is still up, just not in the pre-release since I'm reworking the geometry on that mission to match the one from Keyes since I made a bunch of changes to it

I can certainly see why Keyes is your 'Silent Cartographer' for this mod, what with the Covenant and Flood, plus most of the weapons in the campaign being present. Only issue I can see from this glimpse is that the Elite AI still seems a bit lacking, any ideas/plans on what to do about that?

Damn, time to reinstall H3: CE again! Amazing work, as always! I figure not many people like Halo CEA, but personally, I kinda like it. The Reach artstyle isn't for everybody, but gotta say some of the skyboxes in those are incredible!

Amazing how Halo 3’s lighting and engine still hold up to this day. A testament to Bungie’s legacy and the amount of labor and love that went into it.
Only wish the artificial intelligence characters resembled their Combat Evolved counterparts like The Master Chief does.

Nothing much, if anything it's probably the animations that makes them seem lacking since their AI is setup to behave very similarly to CE
