Thanks For Watching! Хобби
Love the content dude! Love supporting creators with lower numbers. Found the audio a little tinny but overall great!
Thanks man really appreciate the support. Yeah trying to figure out my audio is my biggest problem at this point. Playing with different mics and settings to see what works.
Thanks a lot, keep doing content!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey, thanks for sharing this. If I may, perhaps not include music as you test or compare the microphones would help hear clearly the differences.
I will do that thanks for the input
Great review mate - I have thrown in my two cents too - Complements some stuff not pointed out
Cheers
Thanks for the compliments and giving suggestions, I will keep that in mind and better mention all the features moving forward
Thanks for the video. Does the Go II has the same safety channel feature?
No problem and it does not. When you connect it using a USB cable with Rode Connect on your laptop or PC you have some functions but you don't have a safety channel.
Thank you!
You are welcome
having both would be good
It really is nice to be able to alternate depending on the situation etc
Does videomic go ii need a lot of power from camera's battery?
Btw, We are cooking channel, which one do you recommend for that matter?
The videomics don't drain that much battery and yoh won't really notice it on short shoots. I would assume if you are filming hours on end you might see a few minutes being lost, but not a lot.
Either would be good, but how do you intend to use the mic? Are you using it to film sound of the food cooking? Do you want just your voices to be heard or a mix of everything?
@@Jacqie Thanks a lot.
I think i'd like to take more sound from cooking scenes and some time add some voice over in the video editting. I have doubts between ntg or video mic ii.
P.s. i already have lav and it records all the noises from everywhere in the home
but what mic you use to record the video the sound is terrible? hope it is none of them :/
Can the NTG focus better over a larger distance? I've got the videomic go 2 and my current impression is it's not very good at isolating the person in front of it compared to chatter from the sides when it's more than a feet or two away.
The NTG is slightly better over longer distances, but it isn't drastic. Why are you recording so far away though?
@@Jacqie thanks for the answer, I would like to have a mic on the side/above my monitor on a 80cm wide desk so it's not* in the way of the keyboard+mice+monitor and from what I found shotgun mics are made for this use-case
Rode connect?
If the go II had gain control and 3.5 mm it might be worth it but not as is.
The go ii does have a 3.5mm out to use on cameras but yeah the gain control of the NTG is a really good feature and comes in really handy.
What rode mic do I need to buy for loud parties ... 110 dB?
What do you want to capture? Do you want to record yourself at a party or do you want to record the party?
@@Jacqie I make aftermovies ;( so just the music that sound there without crackling. I use an audio technica now that gived me the option to cut bass and or -10db or -20 dB but it requires a battery… ans i often forget to turn it on/off
@@benvanmassenhove the rode videomic ntg could work great since you can adjust the gain on the mic to be low and it has a -20 db cut and high pass filter to cut the bass which can be good and it turns off automatically when not in use. Or you can use the Rode Wireless Go IIs as they are also a greag choice and you can record directly on the mic module if needed with a -20db cut as well
Can't really hear a difference in sound quality between the GO II and NTG even with my studio monitor headset.
They are very close and the biggest difference really is the directionality is better with the NTG and is a bit better over larger distances. Then of course there is the physical controls but other than that they are very similar and it surprised me
I like the size and the no battery of Go II. Both actually sound the same to me.
They do sound a lot alike. The Go II is really good quality.
Or if the object is over 6 feet away
You should have run the mic tests without the background music.
Yeah I know. Something I definitely overlooked and learned a lot from that test
Just an advice, you should have really good audio quality in your content recommending audio gear...
I realized that and I have improved on my audio since and I am still improving going forward. Thanks for the advice though
@@Jacqie Great content overall! Keep it up!
@@nor690 thank you. I appreciate it
the hole vid sounds horribly compressed
Yes I did have bad audio and it is something I am still working on today
