Honestly, a imperial witness following the odin around just feels correct in-universe. If I was a tyrannical, evil, dictator. I'd also have my propaganda machine follow the giant walking war machine.

in the Starship Troopers Terran Command RTS the strongest unit in the game gets a special, weaker version that wears a flag as a cape & is followed around by a TV crew that it has to protect lol

Odin lived through the battlecruiser gank because he has immortality protocol which heals him a bit when he dies. He is very strong

Also the fact that a titan of steel that large can stay "cloaked" has so much "You no see Grog" energy😂

the royal guard version of the thor is the blackhammer, but the odin is a good fit for a one capped hero guard unit.

Fun fact: There is an elite guard wraith in Heart of the Swarm, it appears on one mission, doesn't have a merc skin and on higher difficulties is replaced by a banshee.
He also appears on Templar's Charge I believe

Once again the Fenrir has proven to have excellent comedic and strategic timing with Grant remembering it's strapped with Nuclear Ordinance.
10/10 would witness them again.

That mod seems to be EXTREMELY entertaining and should be a lesson for a lot of rts devs how to make impactful POWERUNITS. For this whole mod i can see pattern of:
1. It's a bit of struggle to get it going.
2. You level up, got more royal units, you are a GOD nothing can stop you.
3. OMG how did they put so many enemy units here, that's completely insane and unreasonable, can i even fight it?
Looks like there is this balance of both feeling like you are crushing everything, but also being so close to get owned. It's really satisfying. And just hilarious to see enemy bases just completely clogged with units. Such a fun mod!
Grant, once you complete the dig you get access to the zeratul mind crystal missions. Those give you zerg research. So you'll have earth splitters and a ton of stuff in the protoss research if you do all of the zeratul missions after the dig
Yeah. Ultimately, the research pace is just rough right now on account of Grant delaying Monlyth so long for memes.

Yeah I did the dig and all the zeratul missions first. Was able to cheese so many maps with Earth splitter if you unlock it early.
Oh my god the Elite Wraiths are just Tie Fighters. They're designed to do screaming flybys and do loads of damage in the process. That's beautiful.
Also hyped to see the Odin on one half of All In and the Balius on the other to keep things away from the keystone
(I now want to see a modpack that uses Star Wars units in an SC2 mod. Probably not allowed but man that'd be cool. Vader as a hero unit !!!)
Unless it were monetized I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed or possible with some effort. Stellaris, for example, has many shipsets and other related things from tons of different games/movies in the modding workshop, and because they are not being sold they don't get hit with copyright (I assume.)

So wait, the Wraith was firing automatically while he only moved around? I thought that he kept clicking on the individual targets all the time. That's honestly amazing! You could make a quick harass squidron and just move it in and out and weaking incoming waves!
thing is, the CD for each hero is big, and on top of that it starts on CD, so i don't think all in would last until both heroes are in the field

I feel like you underutilized the super cloak on the wraiths, it's borderline divine shield from WC3 pally and they only have 100 quickly regenerating energy, probably could have cut a good amount of stress from the end.
Get you a man that looks at you the same way Grant looks at Fenrir squad.
A man that throws you into an enemy base and explodes you like a nuke
i feel like grant completly forgot about the super cloak after the first time lol would have had an easier time on the other bases
man, watching this series makes me want more special Coop Commander campaigns! Also, having the missions be this hard while having super OP units is insane
Right now WoL has Junker and Mengsk. If you count Nexus Co-op then you also got Valerian and UED.
I get that Grant already made up his mind on the research, but I'm really intrigued by the Regeneration Upgrade, from like a gameplay design. Because if it's a very powerful regeneration, it can make things like Helion Diamondbacks more usable, and make gameplay less about smashing with big numbers and more about pealing the enemy apart. It can certainly spice up the Defense Missions WoL likes to give you by making skirmishing more valuable and affordable because you don't need like, 30 SCVs/Medics/Science Vessel to get everything back up to full, and instead that supply can be put into more combat units.
And I'm not saying all this to be like "Grant needs to change his decision or I'll REEEE." no, he probably needs that extra firepower for All In because if Hero Units are already this insane, so All In must be even more insane with the stuff they throw at you in order to overwhelmed these Hero Units, as well as Mengsk's Royal Guard in general, due to the amount of EXP that they'll be receiving from the amount of Zerg that's gonna die. No, I'm just kind of surprise that, with all these mods, no one tried to make Skirmishing more of a thing the player could do, let alone make a skirmishing unit that can operate independently from the main army and base and can still do stuff.
Maybe it's just a Starcraft thing, where people want to see big armies smash big armies, and those that want to do more Skirmishing go other RTSs. And there's the fact that microing multiple groups in a fast-pace game like Starcraft 2 is hard, and people default to what they're comfortable with, but still, that doesn't mean Mod Makers shouldn't try with new things. Like, why hasn't more mods make Crowd Control more of a thing. Why hasn't someone like, make a Spellcaster unit that's all about manipulating the battlefield and can make line of sight blockers, Barriers that only let small units through, or just spawn some rocks that blocks pathing, kind of like Force Field except any unit can kill it. And I'm not making any statement like "Mod Makers lack creativity." NO, I'm not trying to say that. What I'm saying is that I've come to realize there's uncharted lands, or uncolonized lands in SC2 Modding, and wondering why hasn't anyone tried anything anything in these lands.
Unfortunately it’s very, very hard to make regeneration good as an alternative to anything in sc2, especially in this instance. Realistically, especially given the lack of concrete numbers and whether or not it regenerates in combat, “regeneration” will never win vs “+50% attack speed, x2 repair speed + no vespene repair cost”. There’s no world where regeneration is a good choice when the other option is that insane, it’s unfortunate.
Speaking as someone who likes to take regenerative biosteel despite how bad it is, the only real way to make it good as an option is not just to buff it - which a lot of mods do to no avail - but to give players other reasons to take it over the other option. The point of the lab should’ve always been “Is this or this your play-style” it just never ends up that way.
Respect on completing every single side quest possible before moving on to the next artifact mission.
1:17 I'll just say that if you're pleased by the thought of getting the ARES after Piercing the Shroud, you're gonna be thrilled at what you *actually* get. (It's not just the RG Odin)

So the last 2 areas were tough huh? Sounds like this mission has a very unique design with 4 progressively stronger enemy bases you have to clear out in order to win.

The Wraith being a hypermobile glass cannon is really cool. Also combining the fire rate bonus from level 3 with the new research is just going to melt the entire universe.

The specialty of winged nightmares seems to be the insane damage they can put out while cloaked+immune to detection

it didn't even need to jump - it just stepped on the wall like it was a side walk. dunno what's the real size of the Odin is, but this suggests it might have leg length rivaling that of a colossus.

Hey Grant,I witnessed a bug with Fenrir Squadron. When it shoots a zealot who is in melee range of a bunker,the bunker gets emptied and you lose all the units inside of it.
This only just occurred to me, but when Stettman goes "I have no idea what that is" in regards to the Devourer samples, I find that rather amusing lol. 'Cause like, no one really knows what the heck Devourers are, 'cause no one used them! They were way too expensive for how specifically niche they were.
Also, powerful Wraiths? Who would've thought!
The Fenrir squad is the hero we needed but didn't deserve. Shame the guy wasn't here to celebrate the win with us xD

Yeah that was kinda infurating... LIke super cloak -> go in kill all the anti-air (or most of it at least), and it would be lot easier to clean it up then once odin goes in too with him...

I'm pretty sure the reason the Fenrir levels up so fast is because you are suppose to throw it away when it hits level 3. I suspect that is also why it's so tanky, so that it can really get stuck in there before going off.
Grant you should look at the command center it has a button that enables you to see the "mercenaries"/heroes that you can have. 1 you can get early in each missions. Otherwise nice videos as always. Peace Out !

Having some Winged Nightmares providing air-to-air cover for Royal Banshees might be pretty powerful in the future.

Those Royal Guard wraiths at level 3 is peak harassment. Keep them _away_ from my mineral line.
The mineral line no longer exists after they have been there. Can't even prevent them from getting there with the cloak.

That lone Fenrir is the MVP in this mission, bro charge enemy base like no problem and detonate entire base with single nuke
On 10:30 you had 3 Nightmares on Lvl3, they just glide over an enemy and kill everything. I imagine they are powerfull if you just use them to do a fly by over an enemy position while being super cloaked, they will get the extra damage, and by attacking new targets due to the movement the attack speed also stacks.
Remember that in train robery you miss a zerg research, so if you adquire it and then you do secret mision you will reach the 25 zerg research

The Royal Guard Wraith with their insane movement damage bonus at level 3, plus the 50% bonus attack speed would melt everything. Even the sun.
Something I learned for this mod is if you are killing units with at least one maxed out Royal guard near, the exp from the unit killed is shared throughout the map for all other RG units. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

the wraith honestly feels good when it starts getting numbers up and brokenly op when they get to level 3 with numbers.
The regen doesn't work on some of the royal guard heroes either way, so until the person taking care of the mod fixes it it is indeed the best option to grab the atk speed.
Yeah, seems like you won't be using the Earth Splitter for some time sadly, that is, if you choose that upgrade.
Do archive missions get all the upgrades that you get later? or you get to them in the shape and form and it stays forever as such? Because if you can play from archives, i'm positive that viewers will want the clearing of the enemy on these missions ;D
The final base is so overbuilt relative to all the others it's funny. About twice the number of tanks as the ones before it and a host of about four or five lokis, not to mention other battlecruisers and combat units.

In Mediablitz you can build the odin as a mercenary but the original odin (from the sneak attack) has to die first
