    Good vid. I took mine out last weekend on a old dirt road that winds up through the mountains here in Nor Cal. I did things in the truck that I had dreamed of doing in my EVO but lacked under armor and the correct type of suspension. Baja mode in 4H is what I used on the way up and mud/sand on the way down. Terrain managment does a great job transfering power front/ rear and making sure the wheels keep enough traction. The truck's suspension definitely smooths out as you get a little faster. You find that sweet spot for the terrain you are in and it will glide. Even my dirt driveway which I usually drive 5-10 mph, if I take it at 20, it's like a different road. I have no complaints about the truck. Gas milage is actually pretty good for a big truck (18-20) on flat freeway under 60mph. Once you get to 70mph it's drops to about 16.8. Still not to bad for a truck with 35s. Auto start stop is a feature they could have left off. I just have to remember to turn it off every time.
    Keep Racing !

      Where in NorCal did you go so your truck could stretch its legs?

    Thanks for the video!! I had a 2014 that I put a 143k miles on, I loved the truck it was bullet proof. My second one is a 2020 and this is hands down a better truck. I am hopeful that this was will be a bullet proof. The sound obviously isn’t as good but this truck will put a smile on your face!!

      @@bjmcdole6294 Got a little over 12,000 miles on her now and she has scratches and dents from offroading in 13 states already. Her name is Freedom Badger. Wound up flying to Houston May 1, 2019 to pick her up. Dealer had her hard parked in the showroom when i arrived. It was a rad experience.
      - I made a fun game out of it by letting all my friends know I had custom ordered a new something. The only hints I gave was $90,000 all in (tax, license, warranty, loan, options, etc.) And had Alcantara and carbon fiber. Then the whole road trip from Houston to Seattle every day we were posting "drop" photos on social media but they'd be like super close up shots of the leather grain and such as. Only 1 person guessed Raptor. Because I have a pretty bad ass built trail rig most people thought sports car. The top guess was by far Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

    I test drove a Raptor yesterday and during Sport mode, I felt a "kick" every time it shifted gears, a noticeable shake. Is that what you mean by "it shifts Harder" on Sport mode?

    • @bjmcdole6294
      @bjmcdole6294 4 года назад +4

      Yes, it shifts harder in sport mode. It's supposed to do that and in time the truck will learn shift points based on your driving characteristics. Typically, it takes up to 1000 miles for the transmission to fully "learn" your driving habits.

    Always makes me chuckle when people shit on raptors for being "mall crawlers". When a race driver and someone who's hooned a raptor around the nurburgring says his mind is blown by what this truck CAN DO yet some interweb troll who's never seen a raptor let alone driven one says "but muh v8 sound though"... lmao. You want a v8, buy a normal f150 or whatever equivalent truck from a rival brand... want a stock offroad truck that is fucking hilarious to drive, get a raptor.
