When you're rock crawling you need to air down to get better traction. If your running the tire pressure that is called for you need to air down to about 15 to 20 psi
You really like it because the interior design in Ford Trucks is a hell of a lot better looking than the Chevrolet/GM truck models. The exterior design is a shit ton better too!
Rock Sliders that stick out from side and are strong enough to lift the truck are priceless just for these incidents. Every time my rock sliders would hit on my Land Cruisers I would smile as I knew that was money saved from damage and a rattle can of black paint was small price to cover up the gouges and scrapes on those heavy tube sliders. Definitely wouldn't want to do a lot of rock crawling with them there. That's where they are supposed to mount per Fox though. The factory bumper and skid plate would protect them, the ADD bumper is that much smaller.

Here is a idea for a awesome project. Get a 2011+ f150 with the 5.0 in a single cab short bed 4x4 and do some suspension and tires to make it really good on the trail. Would be a cool build series for the channel

Your really need to put a rock solid engine and drive train in the blazer with 4 wheel drive fixed. Then after that a long travel suspension for rock crawling and mudding. That way you will not be tempted to take your 95,000 dollar truck off road.
i can say with experience that with basic mods, the XJ is an incredible off road rig.. I want another one.. but Steve's needs a locker or LSD at the very least.. Those electronic diff's in the Raptor are pretty cool for sure.
Honestly , when it comes to gas vs diesel, especially now a days , both engines are extremely reliable and similar due to all the electronic added to the engine as well as emissions and software that helps save fuel , but if one gets an older model truck , I prefer a diesel in that regard, Now it’s really all bout personal reference both engines are a work of art
Because the first one is gonna end up being a shit box after that big jump lol, stuff will break over and over from that until someone dumps MANY thousands into it😂 that thing is toast
Great video. I think you can justify a high end second truck. The High Country is a great work truck and the Blazer is rad for getting crazy but a truck like this Raptor would be a great middle ground. You video provide a nice 20 minute break from my work day and all the Skateboarding videos I watch.

plus the xj is one of the most capable stock 4wd platforms on the market. highly modifiable, and cheap as hell too. didn't even look like the low range 4wd was working at all in that xj to be honest.. I'd say a lift and some locking hubs and that xj would outperform the old blazer any day of the week. can't beat that short wheelbase for off roading in the technical stuff.

You lost me when you said "that thing sucks" to the Jeep. Not everyone has an expensive rig and has to make do with what they have.
plus the xj is one of the most capable stock 4wd platforms on the market. highly modifiable, and cheap as hell too. didn't even look like the low range 4wd was working at all in that xj to be honest.. I'd say a lift and some locking hubs and that xj would outperform the old blazer any day of the week. can't beat that short wheelbase for off roading in the technical stuff.

@@tennysonjames2969 its nit one of the most capable platform. Not even close really. Literally doesnt even have a locking diff and its a solid front axle. And if you modify a blazer too it'll literally smoke a modded Jeep lol
Ford Trucks,hard to beat,all l have ever owned.Watched other brands made me hold on to built 460 great suspension, gobs of torque. Looked like a lot of fun
