This could also be a lesson on why walls with sudden height increases of several levels are likely to stop...which is why the test didn't surprise me where it stopped.
FlippyCat!!!! I love your videos!!! (Watched them endlessly in middle school 8 years ago lol)
I did not realize how much the world needed a definitive resource on this technique until watching this. Such a well-explained video, you touched on all the points that I would've included if I were to make this video, and more. I'm sure I'll find myself referring people to this video when I mention the "dark arts of stopping a 2D domino wall" 😆
I admit I also guessed 200g, but wasn't at all surprised 100g was enough. I was thinking "100g might stop it, but if not, it'll juuuuust barely work" I bet if you repeated the experiment like 100 times (do not do this lmao), you'd find 100g has like a 50-60% success rate.
Great tutorial, very thorough and informative! Also that first person pov was intense!
Gonna be super useful for tutorials
I dont build with dominoes ever yet I watched the whole thing. I think that either says something about me or or how good your channel is lol.
Such a helpful video! You are doing great on domino masters! It is my dream to work behind the scenes of a show like that.
Steve's next video: how to rewind time to rebuild dominoes instantly
Or how to use Eric's cloning machine to help build dominoes twice as fast
@@SpriceMachines new pro strats right there
I am never going to need to use this information, yet I found the explanation incredibly interesting. Thank you for sharing this.
I always thought of if there was a way to stop it from falling but I didn't think of this.
Really cool
Great explanations from a truly skilled builder :)
I hope the dentist I'm about to visit (next month) has a steady hand like you....
Amazing! Very cool! You’ve got two steady hands! 🙌🏼 👍🏼
Sprice Machines I absolutely loved the VIDEO it was so INSANE so SATISFYING and so COOL
I think the best thing to do is maybe to always have a weight just in case
And moving the weight during the building (maybe using two to be sure)
Awesome video!
Great tutorial,so informative
Science! Super helpful (runs out to buy a box of 200g weights…)
Great tips
Great tutorial that domino builders should know!
That was a good idea. Because i built Domino tower the first time and it keeps falling down all the time. So next time, I am going to do it what you did. Thank you so much bro!!!
the ammount of weight to stop the wall is atleast partialy related to the height of the wall
here the wall is ~1m tall whitch is on the taller end of the scale but it's also the alternating wall so I'd say about 300grams could be enough to eliably stop it
if you simply hot glue the dominoes as you build the wall things like this wouldn't happen 🙄
Guinness does have a rule about using glue unfortunately
If you glue every domino piece together, then the wall would never disassembles and this would be a trouble 🤦
This would have been very helpful to know before Domino Masters 😂
I'm not the first to make a tutorial! @midobo
I am really enjoying watching Domino Masters. I have watched every episode so far on Fox.
Glad to hear it!
I didn't expect the wall to stop at 200g, I thought it would of stopped at 300g and good luck for the guinness world record of longest domino wall
nice
Nicee
Good
Yeahh
Hi Sprice Maxhines,
You’re the best at Rube Goldbergs! I love rube Goldbergs! In fact, I’ve got a challenge for you-make a Rube Goldberg machine that delivers PANCAKES! Here are the requirements:
1. It MUST start by rolling a red ball down a ramp before it hits the dominoes.
2. It must end with a pancake being served onto your plate.
Love,
Dylan,
have you got any requirements as to the thickness of the pancake itself
@@DaSpecialZak Thick please!
So why not add a weight as soon as you hit the height you want? Then you don’t need to react if you can’t fast enough. Awesome video, I never would have thought of that!
That's why I said you can use this as a failsafe!
What about a speed wall?
I bet you could stop it but you'd have to be even quicker
How you can stop it like put pressure on it?
Yeah
I'm a girl who's Starstruck in the hallway when I saw you
Aren’t grams supposed to measure mass instead of weight?
As long as you are not building a domino wall on the moon, a 200g mass gives you the right weight needed
Instead of placing your fingers on the wall. Why not just place these weigths. Every 20cm or so when you build.
500 gr
Noice
500g (edit: WHAT)
if you are the dominoes
Hi
wos
Imagine the camera not recording.. 😌
Or imagine if I angled my action camera a little bit too far down and I had to rebuild and save the wall a 2nd time for a better shot...
