Abosolutely, Lily. That was really impressive. I predicted that this will be more viral than *INSANE DOMINO TRICKS* video and *THE AMAZING TRIPLE SPIRAL* video. :)
It triggers me a little bit that it wasn't dropped perfectly in the center though. It would have been more hypnotic to watch if it toppled over completely from the black hexagoncenter as opposed to being where it landed which was 1-3 hexagons off.
This was incredible Lily! I love seeing all of the building footage of your process! Thanks again for inviting me :) it was such a breathtaking experience to see your art in person!

The hexagonal pattern was absolutely enormous to look at, the color combinations were perfect, and the structure looked super massive. For real, I thought it was a prank on Makayla at first, but ahhhh.... that must have been super pathetic to rebuild that particular space. A huge congrats on the record!!! Loved watching the video :)

Really cool! When you topple big builds like this it would be really neat to see it on highspeed as well, after all that work why not stretch it out a little :)

Superb! Amazing world record Lily, My mind was blown when you rebuild the structure when you knocked it down accidentally, also I can't build that type of structure, you are a true Domino artist, you are such a miracle, my mind was blown when you build the base of the structure and after 52 days the hardwork came out as the World record Hexagonal Structure
Wow. Wow. Wow. Super fun to watch! Just came from the documentary and my mind is blown a second time. Though I can't help but wonder why this video doesn't have more views. It definitely deserves 7 million more! Let's get this one to 8 million.
This was super muper INSANE!!!!! I love all the precisely design and the patterns of that hexagonal structure. You use all the plans and the calculations of making this structure. This makes me feels like, building a world record domino structure is not just for patience, it also needs to trick your brain sometimes that you need to solve it. So, you spent all day and finally, you made it. This was the one which I feel a bit of touching. So Yeah, it topples. That means, the world record hope had accomplished. Wow. P.S.: Just now when you told your friend how to knock down that structure, you accidentally knocked that target. And, I was like, Oh no. While that chicken topples first, I thought that your 52 days of hard work had wasted. But then, after it knocked down, it only falls at the centre and won't knock down the entire structure. I love that your reaction while accidentally knocking the target. Wow, that fail had saved your hard work. But, I was super mind-blowing that the whole structure had fell in real life. Great job Lily. Your hope had accomplished. As always, Yeah. Let's keep on building! :D /|||||
YYYyYYYyYYYeEeEeEeEEEEEESSSSSSS!!! That was insane!!!! 😄😂🥲 However, the prank that you did was funny, and the rebuild was really scary for me, but at least you rebuild the structure so great job I really hope you can take less risk and keep on building.
Really pleasing structure, H5. I think a plumb bob with a taper would be the perfect trigger for a hexagonal build. Dropped right down the center of a tube it should result in a very even fall. Using an off-center starting point might be interesting as well. Keep it up, enjoy your art.
That's awesome! I cant believe you accidently dropped the chicken lmao :D and I also cant believe it didnt topple the stucture. And I also also cant believe you were able to rebuild that :D amazing. And I also really like it being called a hexagonal prison ^^
Interesting idea: build some sort of structure like this, and then lay sideways dominoes to make a flat surface that you put something on. Maybe make, like, a little town or something. Then disrupt the structure in the middle of the top layer, and watch the sinkhole open up. The way this toppled, it really felt like a sinkhole. it didn't topple where the chicken hit, it started off to the side, and then the chicken fell into the expanding hole.
Seeing how the premiere went, I think I got there before Lily, watch the replay and you'll see I was the first to react, but hey... this is by far the most unexpected video I've seen in the domino community, especially because of the process and the timelapse that literally started in 2021 and ended in 2022 (I'll never forget the moment when Lily placed the 13,000th domino live), well, it's actually been over 13 thousand (I think) for the part of the joke that unexpectedly not only did Lily fall into her own joke, but that the hexagonal structure had not even fallen, at this moment it would be logical to say that this happens if you do not build more than 13 layers but I think that is not valid, I think that the real reason for the fail is the hexagonal composition of the structure, I imagine that a hexagonal structure is more difficult to throw than a cube or a pyramid (besides being much more complicated to build), but the good thing about all this is that it did not end in such a treacherous way and everything went well, it's very funny how you threw the structure with a Harry Potter toy chicken... but I certainly loved the idea of premiering this video live, because it really is much more exciting that way, I would love for it to be like this for next week when the results of the 5-second challenge are released, I can't wait to see the results, well, with nothing more to say, congratulations on your record! 😉👍 PS.: We need to got this the first viral of Lily of 2022 YAAAY! :)
My kids (5 and 3) love this video and have watched it many times. I was amazed that it didn't collapse the first time the chicken fell on it. I guess a hexagon structure is super strong, even when made of dominoes. The top looks like a beautiful honeycomb!
A lot of modern RUclipsrs would have cut the plan short at about 4:12 And said, "Nah, I'm joking. I decided to just throw the chicken at it. 🍗" But actually building the pulley system for this build definitely helped The fall down to be even more satisfying. Props for actually doing it! 👏 👏 👏
nah, here we actually build the mechanisms! :D I think it was cool to have the chicken hanging from the ceiling just dangling above the dominoes. It gives it some tension and it just looks pretty epic when it falls! thank you :)

Amazing! I like how you described just how difficult these things are to build. It’s kind of hard to appreciate it until you’ve built something that big. And the chicken didn’t work?! Interestingly, more than once I’ve accidentally dropped dominoes inside my structures. Octagon structures seem especially resilient to this type of fail because there is so much empty space inside. So in retrospect, the chicken fail with hexagons makes sense.
Thanks! Very true. Yeah I think you're right that the octagon and hexagon structures are more resilient to falling domino fails. That's definitely a great advantage!
@StayFawnTop to describe how difficult it is to build these, you can point out to people that stacking 13,000 dominoes requires you to not make a mistake 13,000 times in a row. Even if your rate of placing dominoes without a (fatal) mistake is at 99.99%, the odds of finishing this structure are still stacked against you! (check the math if that sounds implausible)
