- So today I bought a Dolphin 10 ft. kayak. I live in the Tampa Bay area so I have lots of bay to fish in. I took the kayak out and had a blast catching a few fish using shrimp. enjoy the video!
Hey robbie! I moved from boise to South carolina about 5 years ago. We fished the boise river together once in eagle upstream of the park. The silver/tan fish with the barbel on the lower jaw [8:50] was a whiting. They are really great eating you get awesome fillets off of them and can save the heads for redfish, shark, and snapper bait. We have had our best success with them on a high/low rig. 2 hooks, size 8 circle hooks, cut squid for bait, we use pieces the size of a nickel. Good luck! If you need any other coastal fishing help let us know! We've caught everything from baitfish to sharks
Wow, that's a great message! It's a small world. Thanks for all the info! It's good to know those Whiting are good eating because there's tons of them in the Bay here. Later
I won’t make fun of you too bad, it really looks like you’re having fun and it’s really cool to see you catching all those different fish. I will say though, you would be alot more comfortable on a sit on top kayak, and you can buy those pretty cheap as well.
Lol....thanks
pigfish @ 5:30, kingfish/whiting @ 9:00 to 11:00 (good eats), last one is a pinfish, lol.. thanks for the shout out!
Awesome thanks!
Find some structure... best yet, some structure you can tie to..
Good advice!
Where were you surfing. Looks like a kingfish/waiting
I was in Tampa Bay off the honeymoon island causeway.
