Fly Fishing for Bass | Davis Lake, OR

  • Davis Lake is a large, somewhat shallow lake at the south end of the Cascade Lakes Hwy.
    It is a fly fishing only lake that was once known for its trophy trout, a few can still be seen once in a while. But now is primarily a bass fishery as they were illegally introduced yeas ago and thrive in the warmer, shallower water.
    This video is from a couple of days of floating around in my pontoon boat. While there are quite large bass to be found, I mainly found small to medium ones but in large numbers, averaging about 35 per day. No matter what size of small or large mouth you get, they are all fun because they fight hard!

    I agree with what you said about catching a bunch of smaller ones instead of going to look for the big ones. the more the rod is bent, the funner the session haha. nice video 🤙
