I renovated my lawn this year in August. United Seed company. Great company. I bought BonFire and After Midnight from them. I’m very happy with my seed purchase. Also bought RESISTANCE II Mix From Twin City seed company. Great company. Mixed my own version of your seed purchases. Bought enough to renovate this fall and over seed this spring. Thanks again Brad. For doing all the research and sharing the information. I will definitely purchase when when it becomes available next year and let my Neighbors and family about your seed mixes& blends. Thanks again.
Good blend, and you show proof of it as well. As you said each cultivar will perform differently in each state. Looks like my custom blend should be Titanium GLS, Fastlane, Valsetz, and Firecracker GLS here in TN. Good luck on getting your blend made!
Purchased the Artimus for 2024. I am not totally happy. I am looking forward to purchasing your mix. Excited. Will yours have a spreading cultivar in it ?
No im moving away from that stuff unless I can’t get one of the varieties I plan on using. I have noticed for myself that the lateral spread stuff seems to lay over more instead of growing up.
@ I have absolutely no issues with it. Has top ranking cultivars which some of them had been out in my lawn previously. I’m just moving away from the lateral spread stuff as I personally think it’s lays over more than a standard fescue does. Again that’s my personal opinion from having used noting but lateral spread in mine lawn previously. Also a couple of the newer cultivars in my mix out rank all the lateral spread stuff and the other 2 are basically same score as the highest ranking lateral spread cultivars.
Yes as I mentioned I am trying to be unique without copying anyone which is hard because the lateral spread stuff is in every seed. Also some of the cultivars that I’m using rank higher than several of the lateral spread ones. I think the lateral spread stuff is a little overhyped as far as filling in problem areas. Does it fill in some yes but it’s still noting really aggressive and would still need to be overseeded.
@ I would imagine closer to spring just depending on how the crop is looking. I will call them in a week or so and get a better understanding or hopefully I will.

Any particular reason you didn't pick a laterally spreading variety?
