@@Shenron666 that's.. not a problem. We'll tell you to immediately log out soon as you can and we'll get there. We can get into PvE to protect *if needed* but you'd have to specify what is going on for us to send a proper outfitted ship out to you and refuel you as needed. We have done it before.

The first time you run out of fuel is the last time you run out of fuel, because that little gauge in the right hand corner becomes your new best friend after the first time.
With the new boosting FSD that I think makes the previous one obsolete and what's the point of buying, it's easier to run out of fuel I've temporarily modify my jumperconda with fuel tanks if I'm boosting all over the system.

@commander_maddogtheog yep, i play to explore so i'm often in the dark regions or mapping systems and i get real nervous when i encounter brown dwarf fields in deep space but so far my fuel mishaps are still 1. o7 captain
The first thing I got after I lost my newly bought Vulture to out of fuel was a fuel scoop. I now take at least a 1 sized scoop with me all the time, even if I only bounty hunt in the same System.

Lol. Bad timing, homie. 1st time for me was in a PA & Rail Chief w the effect that lets you use fuel for ammo. Was doing CZs w my squad in a CG sys. Over-exerted my ship and ran out of gas, as i boosted towards the station, literally 500m from the mailslot at a station where a pack of gankers were just chilling about 5km behind me. Luckily, one of my homies fired a fuel limpet at me just as he came out of the slot, about the same time the gankers began to take interest in my disabled ship. Close call, man. o7
Lesson learned: NEVER FLY IN OPEN. Have you or one of your friends set up a PG and invite everyone into it so you can play without the incels attacking you
I had been playing ED for over two years the first time I ran out of fuel. I went out to start the Robigo mines passenger runs and thought my Python could make two round trips on a single fuel up. Of course it was the first time I ever flew without a fuel scoop, lol. I felt really dumb calling the fuel rats to bail me out, and I only had to wait about 5 minutes or less for them to arrive in system.
I had a close call a few days ago after a long time exploring, I had repaired my fuel scoop and I didn't know doing that disables it. I noticed I wasn't collecting any fuel after jumps but I assumed the stars weren't scoopable. Luckily I took notice of which one was the fuel star in the path, and when I couldn't scoop that, I started to Google to see why I couldn't scoop an M type star lol
it took me 1800+ hours to run out of fuel ONCE and only because i bought a small viper to try it out and was just driving it back to my main base to outfit so no scoop and terrible fuel capacity (there was no scoop in the system i bought the viper in and i ran out of fuel so not even enough to supercruise not like there was any stations in the system i was in)
@@filipbitala2624 depending on what activity you've been doing the rebuy is the least of your problems, lets say you've been bounty hunting for hours, there goes the vouchers, exobiology for a while? There goes most likely half a billion data down the drain. So yeah, the rebuy isnt the issue.

The only time I ever ran out of fuel was in an imperial eagle. I had way more than enough credits to say f*** it and I hit the self destruct. Hull points were in the toilet anyway.

A is the best rating you can get, if you've got space for it obviously a 4A would be better than A3, but there is a powerplay prismatic shield generator slower regenerations rate but more shield strength. Pledge to the empire Alison duvall and a few weeks after pledging to that particular empire complete enough of their power spreading mission enough to get to at least level 3 in their ranking system and then after 4 weeks you can buy as many prismatic Shields as you can afford.
Hate to say you got everything you deserved. Running out of fuel in real life a few miles from a gas station is supreme stress. Running out of fuel fifty million miles from a gas station is a death sentence, especially with 25 minutes of air remaining and if a buddy has no fuel limpets. o7
not having enough fuel to jump is one thing, but really... really? managing to use the entirety of your fuel until your pp goes offline? here, before running out, your ship was consuming 4.07 units of fuel per hour. that means if you somehow manage to finish a jump with only 1 unit of fuel left, it would still take about 15min to go dry. without you at any point looking at that fuel gauge...
If you get in trouble just call the fuel rats

Top of my head I don't remember any pre-engineered or powerplay railgun other than engineering them yourself.
