Hey Bjorn, lovely to see part 2 and you being so positive about the EQC, it is proving to be a better car than I expected. Just as info, I have finally gone on a long trip in my I pace and can now say that at a temperature of 7c and air con on, starting at 86% and finishing at 12%, I went 234km against a 10km/hr head wind travelling up a 700m mountainous country Road with over 90% at 100km/hr. I just wish Jaguar, Mercedes and Audi hadn’t overpriced their first EVs so much, especially the I-Pace. It’s too small, cramped and weird looking to command a price over $90K when optioned well. It can’t match the range or acceleration of a Model 3, let alone Model S and it’s not useable as a family SUV since it’s so small. Then you have the issues with Jag reliability, expensive parts, slow charging speeds, etc. I feel the Merc EQ C and E-Tron are also about $30K overpriced. With a range of just 200 miles, you’re pretty limited (in the US) where you can go without having to stop super frequently to charge.
It's the first real attempt by Mercedes to make a workable EV. It is well done. Let's hope that Mercedes continues to do its utmost to develop EVs. Then it will be good in the future!
Very nice video Björn, thank you. That is a benchmark for other SUV. Yes you get better range from sedans like TM3 or TMS but this is a good result for a SUV. Keep it up!
