I don't understand why some car manufacturers cheap out on such an important aspects like HID. Sometimes there a huge differences even between different models form the same company. A current gen 100 € smartphone can do better than that. What a shame, because it's a really nice car apart from that.
Nice. Seems that there are enough fast charging stations nowadays along the german autobahn. The EQC did a good job, but the disappearing charging screen is anoying.
Yeah.. But I'm not sure, why he needs to charge so often. This has a huuuge battery and he needs to charge 3 times between Frankfurt and Hamburg. Normally it should do with one stop. Or is the consumption so high?
Efstathios Dimopoulos Not possible if you don’t want to charge batteries every few kilometer and batteries weight also much so cargo weights go down. So everything cannot be electric but LNG is future of trucks
@@slidmeistah the ecascadia from Daimler can do 400km. The weight of the blade is not that much 15-20 Tonnes. Besides by law the truckers have to have breaks on civilized countries and is a perfect opportunity for recharging.
Efstathios Dimopoulos Ecascadia probably never comes to europe and the breaks are like 15-30min (if i remember correctly) what is not enought to charge it and in Finland weight limit is 76 tons without permit and heaviest truck is 104 tons so you need to stop charging for like every 100km. But LNG is like electric but better for trucks
Efstathios Dimopoulos in my opinion hydrogen will be the future for trucks, planes and boats. Batterys will need to be way to heavy for those vehicles and will greatly decrease performance. With such a big batteries it will take a long time to load as well I suppose. We only need to wait untill hydrogen is produced on 100% renewable energy and then it will be a good alternative for those vehicles in my opinion.
@@yannickpeeters01 the problem with cheap hydrogen is that is not renewable. (from natural gas etc). Hydrogen from electrolysis is very expensive. We should not waste finite resources .
Great content Bjorn and complete with all the details : food, hotel room inspection, price for them, car charging, road driving with nice views - exactly how I like it, so a big like from me for the content and for the car too. Keep up the good work ... and talk to you later:)
You have to differentiate between a regular Currywurst and a Bratcurry. The second one is a Bratwurst with the Sauce of a Currywurst and usually chopped up. By the way, Volkswagen produces it's own Currywurst and Currysauce and it's awesome.
I'm getting crazy looking at your very informative videos... My company allows me to choose between the Tesla Model 3 LR or the EQC... difficult choice to make.. between autonomy and luxury... I'm lost :-)
Honestly Bjorn, I love your videos because of your food reviews on the road! Keep doing them, maybe you can open a new channel with the Rasthaus reviews! Kind regards
Nice video. Just want to inform you that youre not allowed to drive on the left lane when there is a construction site. The left lane is then just open for cars under 2m in width.
In Germany, this is regulated by sign No. 264 according to StVO. The max. width is the real width including mirrors. In some construction sites max. width for left lane is 2,0m while in other sites it may be 2,20m. The max. width of the EQC is 2,10 m, so it depends on the construction site ("Baustelle") whether it is allowed or not.
Hej Björn, I really love Your videos. Not only for the comprehensive testing of EV cars, but for the deep insight views in Your hard daily life for the sake of electromobility promotion. I‘m afraid, longterm it could ruin Your health, being forced to sleep in cheap hotels alongside the Autobahn, stuffed with all that Currywurst and Burger fast food! O.k., Sushi is somewhat better, but surely not at Lidl!! And You should really make an extra channel called „Testing all motorway restrooms south of Oslo“! What a challenge! I do avoid them if ever possible. Apart from joking: What I really dislike (not Your fault!) is that You and other RUclipsrs are traveling since months now around Europe with promotional EQC‘s but Mercedes Benz is not able (or willing) to arrange a test drive for a potential customer like me, despite online registration and all that. „das ist nicht gut!) Again, keep on with Your nice videos! Rgds, Chris.

German restriction for 1 phase charging is 20 A or 4.2 kW unfortunately. Welcome to the home of bullsh.t regulations. We call it Schieflastverordnung, meaning unbalance regulation. Shall make sure that the load on the three phase grid is more even.
Well, it actually makes quite a bit of sense considering fire hazards and strain on the power grid. Germany is a country of many retarded, but also quite a few useful regulations.
Nice video! That number plate is not from Estonia, but from Spain. :-)

Estonia is EST
