Elder surprised me for sure, I wasn’t expecting a good performance from him but he came through, and the offense actually backed him up.

Great performance by Elder and a flurry of hits/ offense, Braves have convincing win over Brewers.
Personally, am underwhelmed by the trades garnered by Braves.
I still contend that until Olson and company pick up pace znd start producing offense, no outside help will correct the problem.
The key to success rests within the team as it is currently constituted!!

    Go Braves.
    Oh Baby!!
The bats came to life and Elder pitched great.

I’m probably in the minority, but I’m pulling for Bryce Elder. His style of pitching is becoming a lost art. Pitch to contact can still be effective

Hot take: soler was all the braves needed at the deadline and they will be fine for the rest of the season

@@954ram7Anyone can change during October im not expecting soler to play like his 2021 postseason self, but other braves have the opportunity to play well at the postseason

You know why I have faith in Elder? Same reason I have faith in Kelenic. They are guys who desperately want to win and be the best. When Elder walked a guy, ONE GUY he was up there cursing at himself. When Snitker came to get him after 6.1 innings of great pitching in a situation that wasn't entirely his fault (Alvarez needs to get that lead runner) he was PISSED. He wants to be out there, he wants to strike out every batter, he wants to be a winner. Like REALLY wants it.

Easy thing to say in hindsight. If you expressed the same degree of confidence *before* the game started, I'd give you credit.

@@arzdiamondbacks I expressed the same degree of confidence before he started in the playoffs last year and everyone shit on me for it. I expressed the same degree of confidence about a week ago here on this channel. People don't give him any leeway to have a rough time because he doesn't throw 95+ but he's a good pitcher and he's going to get better.

@kyleOWillFixIt I have to disagree. He'll have one of these games sometimes, and then the next few will be awful or shakey. We've seen this too many times. Sure, he shows passion and wants to be great, but he doesn't have the stuff or velocity to consistently get hitters out. And against great hitting lineups it's not even watchable. I hope we never see him pitch in a playoff game again. Unfortunately

@@kyleOWillFixIt He only pitches good against weak offensive teams like the Nationals or Marlins. When he faces a real lineup, like the Phillies in the playoffs, he gets exposed.

It's simple for Elder: When he walks guys, he's bad. When he doesn't walk guys, he's good.

I wanna see what Soler does the next couple weeks...

It is bitter sweet: Matzek (co-hero with Rosario in Dodgers win in 2021) for the hero, Soler, in the Braves win against the Astros. I think AA just want some outfielders to ride the hot hand since offense has been down across the league. I predict at least 1 HR from Soler in his first three games with the Braves. I could be wrong though.

Snit uses Chavez in a 1-run game, but Minter/Jimenez/Iglesias in a 4-run game. Just doesn't make sense.

Chavez is supposed to be the more reliable pitcher. That’s why he has put him in, in those situations

Does noone see an issue with 14 hits and only 5 runs? This game shoulda been 7 or 8-1
