    Would you be able to make the tail of the hood longer? Would it just be by adding more rows in between the increase rows?

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  3 года назад +1

      Yes! If you wanted the tail of the hood longer, just repeating the non-increase rows would be the best way.

    BOY O BOY, I'M LOVING THIS. Curious if the option of without the hanging.. nub? lol is in the paid pattern? I'm hoping it slipped ur mind Randi, the tute for doing n adding the TASSEL..?? i started making a hood as soon as I saw the post~ But here I am searching for you tassle vid and on ur sight.. cant find it. I'm so bummed as I'm all done but need that info.. HELP??? PLEASE~

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  6 лет назад +2

      You certainly can! I think I mentioned at the end of the video, just start with 6dc in a magic ring and you won't have the cone bit on top. And my file for the tassel was corrupted, so I have to film another one. Hope to get it done early next week!

    I watched this video, and love the hoods. I do not have a size P hook. Would a Q work and how would that effect the size on the adult that you are working ? I would like to try this but I have an N, an M Hooks and Q. Any recommendation ? Thank you.

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  2 года назад +1

      A Q might work! I'd say try an extra stitch or two with it and kinda measure as you go. So much of crochet is about experimentation, to me.

    • @marlawetherell8785
      @marlawetherell8785 2 года назад

      Thank you ,kindly. I did look at a store and was going to buy a P hook. But it said P/Q on the pkg. So I was thinking the Q will work that I have. I love the Hood.I couldn't find just a P hook in the stores I went to. Thank you. I will give it a try.

    Is it possible to attach this hood to a shawl? Its a beautiful pattern, just can't visualize it in my head. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated because you did AMAZING with this pattern

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  4 года назад +1

      It would take some careful lining up, but I don't see why not. You'd have to line up the center back of the hood with the center of the shawl and go from there. It might even be good with a poncho! Now I might have to experiment...

    • @jennifermeister7169
      @jennifermeister7169 4 года назад

      I think I will too...not sure how far I will get but if you figure it out I would love a tutorial. A hood that pretty, sheesh, I can't imagine how pretty a shawl or poncho by you would be.

  • @itsmireiasworld

    So to make the more rounded one you show at the end of the video, i have to make a magic ring, 6dc inside, for how many rows? Is it as if I had started at 9:25 ?
    Will it work with just 1 strand of yarn?

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  Год назад

      If you had bulky yarn, it might work with just one strand. You'd have to play around with row counts and the shape, though. If you don't want the little tail/thin part for the tassel, I'd start with probably 12 stitches in your starter ring. So begin at round 4 and just follow the pattern from there.

  • @marthasantanaguerrero5584
    @marthasantanaguerrero5584 3 года назад

    In row 7 did you chrochet into the same stich as your chain 2 and it’s not clear how many you should have by the end of that round I don’t have the written paper plus I don’t know how to read the instructions still learning

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  3 года назад +1

      Your first stitch after the chain should go into the first stitch of the row. Don't skip any spaces. And you should have 30 dc by the end of the row. Hope that helps!

    Does the pattern explain how to do a rounded top instead of a pointed one?

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  5 лет назад +1

      It certainly does! It's in the add-on section at the end of the pattern!

  • @shellinearmstrong7177

    Wow how do your hands and wrists hold up through this?!

  • @soniac.9162
    @soniac.9162 4 года назад +1

    How many yards per adult hood? Your pattern doesn’t say ??

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  4 года назад

      I would assume 150-200 yards of each color, or at least 600 yards total if you're using scraps. A regular sized skein of Red Heart Super Saver for each color usually leaves a bit left over.

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  Год назад

      The one with the rounded back & pom?
      It's this same tutorial without the first two very small rows. You just make a magic ring and cinch it together, starting with the third row.

    A metallic hook would make it a lot easier, just a suggestion

    • @TheDarqProject
      @TheDarqProject  3 года назад

      If you can find a metal hook that large, by all means. I've only ever seen plastic ones in that size.
