I've always wanted to try making a rolled omelet. I can make scrambled and fried eggs, but this is the one that's always had my attention and curiosity.
I got one of those square pans for Christmas and I am loving it. Thin egg is more fun to cook and if you roll thin ingredients up into your omelet, like ham or greens, they make cute little pinwheels when sliced. Still haven't perfected the egg rolling technique though... 😅
If those cucumber seeds are tender, they go great whizzed up in a in a tzatziki sauce. I lived in Japan for 4 years back in the early 80's. Your videos are great, arigatou gozaoimasu.
When I stayed in Tokyo, the hotel served a soup for breakfast. It was a tomato consommé of some kind but I think it may have been miso based. Have you seen this type of soup as it was delicious and light. Soup for breakfast was a surprise to an English man. Thank you for sharing your recipes, I have tried some and will be trying more.
I think tomato with miso based soup is not really common, but sounds good! Thank you for watching my video. I'm so happy you've tried some. Please enjoy more Japanese foods 😁
Asagohan = Breakfast💛🧸 All is very beneficial and inspirational. Thanks for teaching cooked fish and meat, tamagoyaki, simple soups and sidedishes making. * Please wait and teach until i make 6sets almost same to my boy child studying and remain pictures. *After watching simple summaries providing daily these day~! engrave easier to my head.
These are wonderful. I like the variety of cucumber dishes you prepare since it’s hot summer. I like the Japanese cucumber potato salad minus the roe. 😊❤
@@JapaneseCookingChannel I thought they were good, but not as flavorful as what I was used to. I might want to try them again though, fix them a different way,
Fantastic! Thank you for filming and sharing your recipes. One day a long time ago I was at university and was starving. I had many choices. Fast foods... but I worked for a Chinese family for many years hosting and waiting tables. I chose to trust the Asian people and bought their food. Miso Soup. It was so delicious and made me feel refreshed and ready for more classes. I love your channel and thank you from my heart for producing so many wonderful healthy meals for your audience.
@JapaneseCookingChannel Here its a winter dish because of the pickled cabbage we use to roll the rice/meat filling. Typically prepared on the eve of New Year, half drunk 🥴 🤪
Salmon is super expensive right now here but I think our freshwater fish would be a tasty substitute🤔 Just need to go fishing, fillet it and put small portions in the freezer
In the recipe you say, "Once the water has come to a boil, then you SWITCH OFF THE FLAME", but in your video the flame is still ON FULL and you are adding tea, cinnamon, cardamom etc. Question: Do you switch off the flame once the water is boiled and then add the various ingredients or add the ingredients while the water is boiling and the flame is high???
i love how most countries have a cabbage roll dish, it's like collectively as humans we saw the cabbage and though mmm must roll something up in that
Yea, it's interesting 🤭
Yes, and it's so tasty! In the Finnish version we use dark syrup to sweeten and deepen the flavor :)

I love cucumber dishes too! Yea... maybe the roe is not really popular in overseas 😅
Sweet potatoes are very common and popular where i live. They are mostly orange sweet potatoes, but I've bought the purple type you're using before.
Oh! How did you like it?
I wanna try the orange one someday.

I really love miso soup recipes with milk! (I can't use milk but I can use soy milk.) I can't wait to try the sweet potato one.
Soy milk should be really nice for miso soup! Hope you enjoy!

And Eastern Europeans go holubtsi!!
Polish stuffed cabbage mixes some rice with the ground meat but other than that is about the same
Oh Thanks for telling the Polish version. Adding rice sounds great!
