Does the mi band 9 automatically detect workout activity? Or you have to select it beforehand? Im coming from a charge2. My charge2 automatically detects when im running and biking. Making tracking so much more convenient.

So, it has the same battery life as my 5 year old Mi Band 4 that used to deliver 30 days back when it was new. The long battery life used to be it's best selling point. They need to get their shit together.
I disagree. The fact that Xiaomi has been able to maintain that same battery life whilst adding more battery draining smart and health features each year is a good thing.

How is it on step count accuracy? It’s literally the only reason I need a “fitness/smart” watch I got an inspire 2 but it over counted by 4,000 Would you recommend it? Or another brand for that sense?
It can stay on for 20 min if you set it but I don’t think there is a permanent setting that has the screen on all the time. Remember it’s only a small device, it would really drain the device.

I would say being momentarily scared by a loud noise would induce stress rather than anger immediately. But that’s just me. As for your question, I’m sorry, I don’t know the answer.

What about the burned calories. I had for a very long time xiomi mi band 5 and it was more accurate than mi band 9. I barely made 500 steps, how could I had burned 380 calories. Or I missed update…
I burn 4500 calories on 11k steps. We burn a lot more than we think. But I think 380 is way too much for 500 steps.. you’d be burning 7600 calories off 10k steps

Under Units, switch the distance unit from **kilometers (km)** to **miles (mi)**. Once you change this in the app, your Mi Band 9 should display distance measurements in miles instead of kilometers.
Imo not a good upgrade, this is just my recommendation so don't take it seriously, keep that mi band 7 of yours bro, don't need to upgrade to a new one, if in future they put either storage for music or offline gps or e-sim then do upgrade it i guess.

Sorry to hear that man, hope you’re doing better. The band can give you an alert if your heart rate is too low or too high. It can monitor your heart beat in general. And as you saw by my wonderful demonstration, it can monitor stress levels. But you will need an Apple Watch if you want a an ECG. The ECG feature on the Apple Watch measures the electrical signals of your heart to check for irregular heart rhythms, such as atrial fibrillation.

I have no idea. You need to definitely connect it to a phone at the start during set up. After that, you probably could use it without it.

It has auto detect, but you have to turn it on in the settings, it’s all turned off by default to save battery.

I’m not 100%. Unfortunately I don’t have the band anymore. But I believe it does have that feature.

Use Zepp Life & Mi Fitness, I think each syncs with each. When I weigh myself on the Mi Scale I use Zepp life but it syncs with Mi Fitness I think.

it is fairly accurate but when compared with medical grade oximeters it is off by a percent or two usually.

The band HAVE irregular heartbeat option , but it depends on what region you are, if you miss it try change the region
