The Orients are excellent watches for the money. Have the Mako XL and the Kamasu with the Kamasu being my favorite. It is my most accurate mechanical watch, and it runs about 3-4 seconds fast a day, making it easy and quick to synchronize. Sapphire crystal, great finish, amazing dial and excellent makes it a bargain of an affordable mechanical watch. And I got mine for around $170.
underrated channel! super crisp marco shots and very good informative part on the division of both companies. those infos are pretty much blur to the community.
Awesome production, awesome shots, I'd die for a blue ray 2, still got my steeldive 1953, still can't get over how good your comparison was from the 2, out of all the other channels praised one or the other (I guess 2 videos) but if I was to pick one it's orient and I'd happily say you got me over the edge, heard of seiko but not orient, the more I look them up the more they surprise me. Awesome stuff thank you
Kamasu - paid $184 for the "...19B" model. My first nice watch and I love it. Looked at everything else in its peer group and just kept coming back to the 'Masu!
I have been into watches since soon 2 years. And I have several Seikos and Orients. Both are great. I have several Citizens as well, which I think should not been excluded when it comes to talk about affordable japanese watches of high quality. But yes, in this video you compare Seiko and Orient and explain the relation between them when it comes to the company and ownership. I agree with you about the difference between Seiko and Orient when it comes to the design. Seiko looks cleaner while Orient has a more interesting design. I would say Orient looks nicer. I consider to soon get my fourth Orient; maybe a green Kamasu II.
Great comparison buddy. I Prefer the Orient, looks less bulky which I love. I feel the Orient would work well both with Business or Casual attire too. Love your style & content, just got yourself a new Subscriber :)
I own seiko 5KX with a black bezel and dial and have seen Kamasu in real life. Both watch are gorgeous bit Seiko in my opinion looks a little betrer and cleaner. Hour markers and hands also look better on Seiko. However....I really do miss 200m WR and a screw down crown of Kamasu 😄😄😄😄
Thx for the video, just can't choose between these two I prefer the more true diver style design of the Seiko however specs wise the Orient is a step above but has that classic dressy/sports style 🤔
Chapeau bas Orient 👏👏👏
I recently brought a blue Kamasu and it while it is incredibly well made, I am still conflicted about the design. It's something that is hard to see on close ups but the dial looks small compared to all the stainless steel around it, and the thin bezel with a tapered walls just reinforces it. It might be just me since no one else seems to notices it.
Were you planning on getting a sports watch? Enjoy your Seiko long term with deep scratches all over it because of its MINERAL CRYSTAL. That's right, you paid that much money but don't get sapphire crystal.

Just picked up a Kamasu on sale for $160 US dollars, black finish and gold trim. Spending less money on Seiko due to price increase.

Great video. I like the Seiko more, but the Orient really stands out on first glance. The Seiko’s understated visuals are more endearing imo

Nice Aussies perspective I like it.. Just recently bought the 5 as a gift and the orient for myself.. The Red face orient it devine
Got my seiko Pepsi 5 for AUD$283 and the orient for AUD$356..
That USD$188 and USD$236 today, respectively. Good value
Aussie stock, but the orient looks like it was Singapore imported via shiels on-line watch deport brand. Delivered within 3 day to WA.
Great comparison buddy.

I am leaning towards the Orient, just wish it came with a yellow dial. Thank you this was nice to watch, good information. Cheers
i love the transition

Excellent review
Orient Kamasu Black. I like the Orient Kamasu. It's not bulky and I think it would fits well on my wrist.

Great review. Objective and informative. Well done. I going with the orient!
I “am” 😄 going with the Orient!
Definitely orient.

i bought both
Orient logo is meh, it may be better finished overall, but seiko is like to suit younger people better, orient looks more formal.
Orient is a proper dive watch, 5KX is just a watch looks like a dive watch.
great vid
giveaway still going?
I have the red dial Kamasu and so far its accuracy according to my measurement app is 0.0 sec/day. Yep, 0.0. I know this is a fluke but damn, man!
below 1000 usd for me orient is better above 1000 seiko especially gs and credor

Both of those are bulky. If the size is larger than 38mm - i dont buy the watch.
