It's time for some character guides! So every time I reach master rank with a character, I'll be sure to do a video on everything I've learned, and share it with you guys. I'll most likely do an extra combo guide, and some counter guide stuff too. Thanks for watching!
Honda main since sf2 hyper fighting. He's my guy, ride or die. It's been a playground for Honda mains in sf6. This is our reward for sticking with the big guy. Be proud, Honda mains. Let them hate. Most of them weren't around when projectiles were the be all end all, and it was a struggle.
I am new to Street Fighter and decided to main E Honda (love him). This guide covers so much and I love that. I have watched so many other guides and this is by far my favorite and taught me many things I did not know about. Thank you!
In fact, people hate Honda, but truth is he's the guy who reminds you that you're not as good as you think, because... he's not hard to beat, he dies in many circumstances, if the opponent has quite a large life lead, when he's in the corner, he can be easily zoned... He may look stupid, but in fact, it's you who's stupid by getting headbutted for the 15th time lol At low/intermediate level, you probably lose against Honda because you don't master the game and the match-up enough, at higher levels, you lose against Honda because the guy who play him may be smarter than you :-D
Congrats on Master, but I went 4-6 in placement matches, & went to Iron. I'd be thankful for Silver. 😉 I find it tough to win w/him, despite all the guides & high level matches I've watched. And lots of training. But good guide. Thanks. Never pulled off the kara stomp into command grab. (I'm on pad) Any idea on timing? I've watched some of your stuff for years. Maybe I'll sub someday. Fun vid.
surprised he did not mention standing light punch into clap into medium hundred hands using sumo spirit. option 1 = drive rush into down forward heavy kick (overhead) / standing light punch / clap / medium hundred hands / crouch light punch into medium headbutt (2905dmg) or heavy buttslam (3025dmg). option 2 = drive rush into forward heavy kick (low) / standing light punch / clap / medium hundred hands / crouch light punch into medium headbutt (3005dmg) or heavy buttslam (3125dmg). for 1 drive rush bar you get alotta damage. even more if you cancel into level 3 super. or on block use it as a cheeky 50/50. example standing medium / drive rush cancel into option 1 or option 2. side note: i believe down forward heavy kick forces stand and after drive rush it combos into standing lp always. shout out to stormkubo and go1 for the tech.
Combos and setups will be in another video, otherwise this would be too long lol. I personally don't use this because I think his overhead is too slow, and too easy to check or block. It's still worth knowing to surprise your opponent, so I might mention it, even if I don't use it. Thanks for taking the time to write it down.
@VesperArcade very true. Really good players can react to overhead / just block. Maybe platnium and above. I can't wait for that combos / set-up video. Learning new tech is my favourite thing to do in fighting games. Sometimes, it's the one thing that gives you an edge against your opponent that gets the W. Side note. Love your videos. I've been watching since the sf4 era.
To do headbutt into Lvl 3 easily, just charge back > Hcf + P > (will do headbutt) then Qcf + P So you’re basically charging back, then qcf x2 but you press punch both times
There's nothing to nerf, honestly, losing to Honda is just not knowing the match-up, he's quite easy to beat, he has a hard time against zoners, against mix-up characters, he just dies in the corner, he just becomes a toy and dies when the opponent has a good life-lead, his toolset is pretty limited, headbutts and buttslams are easily parried... I just don't see the point nerfing him, it's not as if he was a "mister good at everything" like Ken and Luke... Honda's gameplan is simple and effective, but also simple to oppose, and in fact, he's mostly good against other non-projectile characters, he may be the strongest non-projectile against other non-projectile, as he kinda was in SFV.
Digging through old guides and the comments are hilarious given what we now know from the season 2 patch. Regardless, definitely a super fun version of the character and now with added flexibility!
As a master ranked Ken and Diamond Kim I can tell you all you have to do use use the two infamous moves and if your opponents shows any matchup knowledge win or lose don’t rematch them. You’re welcome.
Never played an SF game before, bought it mainly 'cause of Juri's... character, went into World Tour - found Honda there. Instantly liked the guy, super cool character, and his moves are fun too. I don't care about the hate he gets (and the hate I get for playing him), I'll stick with him even if he gets nerfed. gonna use some stuff in this guide to finally make it to Diamond:)
This guide is 48 minutes longer than it needs to be. It should take about 30 seconds to introduce yourself and explain how to do headbutt and buttslam. 🤣

fuckin tell em mate tell em
Always incredible content! Thank you! SF6 Honda is a very fun and strong character.
48 minutes for a Honda to master???- "you know i'm something of a scientist myself"- Norman Osborn
You should put the first part on youtube shorts lol
Great video! Can't wait to see the How To Counter series!
Awesome video! Can't wait for the Lilly one.
Thanks for the guide, Vesp. VERY helpful.

Master Rank here we come!
Thanks Mir!
Great display of the character!

Watching this for the lulz but I fully expect the lesson to be:
1. Pick Honda
2. Mash buttons
3. Master rank, baby

@@buddhaboy10000 Thanks again for helping me with my guide! Excited to see some Honda at Evo

His level 3 is QCB... lol.
This is the Oppenheimer moment of FGC video guides 😂 “Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds.” - E. Honda Mains
The first 15 seconds are actually convincing.
Are these moves on pc or pd5? I find it difficult to do drive rush
At 0:15 roll eyes and roll credits
Not gonna lie. I was hoping it was going to be like that and the rest of the video was just a looping Rick Roll.
0:15 of course youre kidding, you forgot to mention buttslam.
Guile guide pls
It's literally super hard to beat Honda if you don't have a good monitor to perfect parry consistently
This is the most powerful version of E Honda in years. I hope they don't nerf him too much in season 2
His win rate is either the highest or one of the highest for all ranks. Unfortunately he looks to be on the chopping block

I knew there was gonna be something lol
People rage quit when they see they are about to fight Honda, and Sim 😅

You can use that strategy on any character then basically.
most useless tip ever 😂😂
Tips from a salty noob 😂
just the tip.

That's much more respectable than the people maining him for an easy win
@@pretzels7437 yeah, I found out about his reputation in this game much later:D
i use Hands way too much
Easy, spam everything til they die or burn out. Then just hands chip them to death.
You forgot butt slam 😂😭💀
