It’s refreshing to see a vehicle built to blend in and not have every cool new trinket hanging off it.
I live out of my truck up to 6 months out of the year in rural, suburban, and urban areas, and you’d never be able to tell by looking at it from the outside.
Looking forward to the interior tour.

You should upgrade that highway safety vest to a tear away version so if it gets caught by a passing vehicle you don't get carried down the highway. Tear away is mandatory for all highway emergency response these days.

Can't go wrong with the SSO front bumper. Great quality. I am running the Falken Wildpeak, AT3W, and soon to put on the new AT4W. I run in "toyota circles" and have heard a lot of complaints about the KO2 and keeping them balanced. Good video.

I love my 2016 4Runner Premium, it is still a stock 2WD I don't need anything more since I live in the Tampa, FL. and it is nothing but concrete. I will say it is a little weird every time I watch other 4Runner videos and everyone always talks about having 90,120 and upwards of 180K miles on their 4Runners. I just rolled 62,552 miles on my 4Runner as of 2/16/24, I to have owned since brand new and is paid off, car payments suck. I think I need to make some friends so I can actually get out and drive it more. Kevin, great video and I am glad to see I am not the only one who doesn't mind having a stock 4Runner. I guess us older guys are just more practical I guess. Keep the videos coming Brotha.

Tires ko2 285/70/17 and wheels Method 305 17x8.5 drives better than stock maybe a steel bumper next with winch so, far i put 10 grand in Mods buoy in Japan with pride your right 180,000 miles on yours and you said it’s just barely broken in I got 30,000 miles on mine I have i long way to go 🤙🏾

I also havea 15 4runner. I'm hoping to add a winch behind the stock bumper, then get a license plate mount that attaches to the fairlead to completely (hopefully) hide it. Did you put in a secondary fuel tank where the spare used to be? I know there are some folks out there who do that. I also keep my resqme tool attached via rubber band (for isolation) to my 4wd lever so it isn't in my field of view....but still accessible to driver and passenger. It's illegal in my state to hang things from the mirror.

Very nice gear and well thought out for yourself and considerations for us to ponder. My question would be around your comment of not drawing attention to yourself or being overall tacticool. I do admit I like some tacticool, but I just don't do it due to the increased level of theft. Some people will steal anything not tied down and locked...and many times even that does not matter. You have some very nice stuff inside in your secret stash in the back...peeping crooks could bust out a widow and at least attempt to separate your vehicle from its hidden treasures. Thoughts on vehicle security do's and do not's other than an expensive car alarm?

    • @kevinestela4881
