Got one with added internal echo board and set up with a hand held d104 absolutely awesome audio, awesome recieve...all kinds of great unsolicited reports back...this little radio is a giant killer...
Hello rooster..I got a 94 a year ago excellent little gem. Cliped 1 wire and turned the low to dead key 4 swinging to 28 pep hi set at 9 swinging 56. The Mic is a week point the Ethernet style hookup sucks..so glad you told me about the adapter...getting one soon..thanks👍👍
I didn’t like the sound of the Super Star mic. It would be nice if you did a comparison with the stock mic. Maybe it’s the timber of your voice, but the Super Star didn’t impress me. Just saying. I heard the same Stryker radio on another RUclips video running stock mic and it sounded just fine. Very intelligible and he was running stock.
I like the most of the strykers. I got a 655 955 and 447. I don't care at all for the 447 it's junk if you ask me. Far as the 94 from the ones I have heard on the air they sound dang good for the money
Both are junk microphones. If you want a good noise canceling microphone. Buy a Road King 56 or a Astatic 636L. You can also wire up push buttons on either of these microphones and a 6 pin adapter. The Grey Smooth 160 hasn't been made in 30 plus years. So I don't know why you would even add that. That amp is just about bigger than that radio. Talked about adding a Texas star amplifier. At least you can buy them new. Keep looking and you'll find the modulation limiter. But beware of over 100% peak to peak modulation. And sound like crap. Especially on a non-noise canceling microphone. Plus a 4 watt dead key into most amplifier. Unless they are a real high drive amplifier. More than likely you'll burn most 2 output transistors amplifiers up. 4 watts dead key is better to drive a amplifier with 4 2879's. Or a Texas Star 500. And for those that like a Echo Reverb board. That can be done as well. Just put it in a small project box. Pickup the 9 volts it need from the radio. It all posable to make this little radio sound like a Super Trucker. Now if you want a real worthy HAM radio. Save your money and buy a Kenwood, Yaesu or iCOM. I know both the CB world and the HAM world. 73's from KK4YLF
Hey Hoss I did the Max Mod to my SR-94HPC and it worked grate for about 3 months the out of the blue im getting a transmit err code when i key up and im stuck on what the hell it could be ive checked everything !!!!!! Help a brother out pleases !
With mine the band will not change. It keeps staying in EU, I want it to be in the D mode. I push the band and all it says is ERROR the same with the Power P6 button it says ERROR also. Can someone help please? THANKS!
It can do CB or 11 Meter band if you modify it. Which would make it illegal by FCC standards. It is a Native 10/12 meter band Amatuer Radio. 11 Meter Band (CB) is only allowed 4 watts pep. This is a 45+ watt radio. So illegal for 11 Meter.
Make your own with a noise canceling microphone with 2 monetary switches. Cut the the cord off the stock microphone and wire it up. It's not that hard. I've done it before even with a added Bluetooth button on Cobra 29LTD Bluetooth CB's. Or if your using it as a base station. You can wire it up for any kind of microphones. Like a Electro Voice RE20 microphone.

Hello Mr. Rooster I Bought A Stryker SR25MC Sure Is A Good Tiny Radio!
All I Wish The Mike Was Interchangeable Thou.
🇺🇸👍
Wished it had ssb
I have one of these radios i like so far
Case is the same as my Anytone 878 VHf/UHF, ham radio, and its mic is fine, but has great clarity, bet these come out of the same plant.
I have the anytone Apollo 2 which I believe is the non Stryker rebrand. Works great but the mic is still the weak point.

Could you use the stock mic as a donor? I mean do a Frankenstein of its plug spliced to a mic of your choice.

Is it a side band radio upper lower brother just a.m.
is this also a CB radio that truckers can use along with its other features?
Good little radio except no filtering receive picks up motor ignition noise put a cb with nb/anl and no noise ,
Why wouldn’t they add SSB? It’s important for 10 meter where I live.
Cb Fm simplex freq: Channel 31 fm

hello how did you get the 11m? is there usb / ssb mode? thank you
There is a way to do it, however it is illegal. 4 watts is max on 11 mete. This is 45+ watts. This radio is illegal if it can do 11 Meter.
Did you sell this one ?
Try it with a hand held D104
U on psb
I just bought one for 100 used
Anyone run an echo mic into one of these?
I need to get one of these where can I find one
There's this new thing out called "Google"
Would it work just as a CB for a semi ?
No! This is a 10/12 meter radio. Amatuer Band. Not CB. 11 Meter is CB
After you clip 1 wire yes you will be on the cb channels.
So is that the 10m ham, or is it 11m citizens ban?
Can both
