i got this radio in my dump truck with a stryker sra10 trucker antenna and oh my it ripps!!!! i have range tested with another driver with a good radio and gotten out 20 miles in the foot hills of the Appalachian Mountains!!! love the variable power my favorite thing about it when u don't need all that power and the receive is amazing!!

Just picked one of these up, upgraded from my cobra 29lx
You'll love it. Cobra 29 is a great radio, but the 447 offers excellent performance and features in a semi compact size
I like my Stryker Sr-447HPC2 I've had nothing but good reports on the radio wave of course I got it hooked to a striker Sr A10 magnet Mount antenna
I like mine also and I am about to purchase the antennas
I myself have the Stryker sr-655hp and the 955hp. And that is the only two radios I use you cannot go wrong with the striker...

Love my D-Rail tuned 655. I wish Stryker made a low powered radio as well as a base station. I'd be on it like white on rice.

Can the dead key be turned down any further? I know the 655 does a 2 watt dk, but wasn't sure bout this one.

How to convert to 11 meter? I can’t find anything and just sitting with the radio next to me. Not sure if I have to use software. Thanks!

@@Rooster_Radio haha 😂 famous East Tenn and Southwest Va saying. Lol I grew up in Lee county Va. It bordered Tn and Ky and I lived on a hill there with A99 Ant and about 40ft of water pipe and could talk locally to Greenville tn and I could holler at the truck stop in Corbin Ky. I also could talk at night time to Big Rock candy mtn Arkansas. I miss those days.
I am debating the stryker 447 or the connex general lee. I drive a truck needs be in cubby as it's not my truck. My galaxy 959 just too big for the rig and isn't really secure in the cubby. Any advice on which to go with? both are great radios
The general Lee is going to be the same size physically as your 959 if I'm not mistaken
@@Rooster_Radio I've got a buddy with a general lee it fits better. The issue with 959 is microphone hook is on the side not on the front. Ism keeping 959 in my pov for this reason. I know the lee and stryker will fit. Just trying to get opinions on which is a better overall radio

Different antennas tune differently

Use bassier sounding mic, or if you're very particular you can always put an EQ on there

Everyone that I know are selling them because of the size of them.the knobs are hard to operate,and to be a stryker this radio isn't worth the headache.
